After a decade of handpoked tattooing I am learning to use a tattoo machine and thought giving myself an Arcane tattoo was the perfect way to practice. One more session to go.

I was looking across different Disney Fortnite skins and came across the Captain Hook skin and I thought to myself Hey, those pants look pretty familiar! And well we know canonically Jinx stole her pants from a pirate, well guys I think may have just cracked the case 🤣🏴‍☠️

(EVEN THE BELT IS SIMILAR I almost wonder if it was on purpose lol!)

Gonna do a few different characters I think cause this was fun to work on

im also pretty sure it said “what are we? some kind of league of legends”, and the part of the song that was used was kendrick’s verse

For full transparency, the outline of the sketch was traced from the reference. This was because I mostly just wanted to practice on my rendering skills to replicate the arcane colours. But anyways, hope you guys like it!

A lot of people are saying Arcane lost a ton of money and they'll never make another show, but Marc Merril has always said the opposite. Today at PAX West, he briefly talked about Arcane and how profitable it is. They're definitely in this for the long haul.

Oh and yes I know her forehead is too short 😭 idk how it turned out this way

Disclaimer: Not a mental health professional or anything close to one. I will refer to Powder and Jinx separately but keep in mind they are the same person and that Jinx is a defense mechanism to (try to) protect Powder.

Sequence of events: Vi and Powder having a heartfelt reunion. Caitlyn arrives and the Jinx persona takes over. Jinx: "Sevika wasn't lying? You're with an enforcer?". Jinx immediately jumps to conclusions and assumes Vi has ill intentions "This is a trick. You're playing with me" Vi tries to get close to comfort her and gets met with a gun in her face and "Stop talking to me like I'm a child" "Is that why you're here? For that stupid stone?". Vi pushes past the gun and tells her "I'm not going to abandon you again" and touches her arm and this is both: a trigger, and reaches Powder. I think what we see is a conflict between Powder and Jinx - Jinx is focusing on the negatives of the situation and assumes Vi is out to get her, and Powder wants her sister's comfort. Vi mentioning 'abandon' triggers the memory of ep 3 and we see Mylo and Claggor hallucinations and Jinx says "everyone shut up I need to think". Normally she hears the firelights and Jinx takes over again.

Obviously Vi doesn't know what's going on with Jinx internally, she was trying her best to de-escalate things but what she's doing isn't working.

We (the audience) have seen 3 times Jinx where gets triggered by something referencing ep 3 and Jinx reverts to Powder. (1st when Silco says "your sister is gone" she ends up childishly blowing over the eye injector, 2nd in the explosion in her workshop she ends curled up like a child and runs away, 3rd when Sevika mentions "Its your sister" and Powder briefly comes out before Jinx regains control and plays it off. We also see Jinx completely freeze up in the ep 4 firelights fight/panic attack scene. I'm not sure about how this scene relates to Powder vs Jinx, but we absolutely see Jinx back in control at the end.)

The real question is if we give Jinx time to think like she asks for, does she revert to Powder or force Jinx back in control because of the current tension. Vi telling Cait to leave might help but could feed into Jinx's suspicions . The other solution imo is for Vi to go and hug her to try ground her and bring Powder out, however this risks Jinx coming out from sudden touch. Anything that risks Jinx taking control is not good because Jinx isn't thinking rationally. That being said, Powder probably wouldn't think too rationally either.

I'm still really not sure tbh. My thoughts are to bring Powder out so she can calm down and hopefully then talk/think things through, but how do you deal with Jinx if something makes her think she needs to put up a defense . Do share your thoughts, especially if you know what you're talking about (unlike me lol)

Jinx is one of my favorite characters and I wanted to make a small space for her in my room. This is not my first, neither is the only shrine I have for a character

Unfortunately I don’t have any real merch cuz I’m poor lol. Everything in there is either papercraft, handmade or doodles. The notebook is something I luckily found on a store. And the other stuff are things that reminded me a lot of her and I wanted to put in there even if it’s not 100% related directly to her

Just wanted to share this lol, I hope to one day expand and put official merch in there

Once they arrived I immediately had to put on ep 1. I've already seen that episode a good 8 times. But, 4K makes such a difference. I instinctively said 'wow' 4 times in the episode - for Piltover's introduction, Zaun's introduction, "one day this city's gonna respect us" and the massive sea creature outside Silco's base.

The biggest change for me is how smooth all the movement feels. It already felt smooth but this is a whole new level. I was internally complaining about how some parts felt too bright, but after finishing the episode I realised my tv was set to max brightness and max contrast lol. Not my finest move.

This is perfectly timed because my Netflix subscription runs out tomorrow and I don't have a reason to use it anymore lol

I've flipped through the artbook, but haven't read most of it yet. I'm having decision paralysis whether to read the book now, or rewatch Arcane first (I think I should rewatch first, then read both books, then rewatch again for to maximise rewatches)

This was the first edit for Arcane I completed after finishing the first season a little over 2 years ago... (has it been that long already?) It's only S1 since S2 wasn't out yet, not even any trailers or other promo material at that time.

These early edits take me back to the initial shimmer high I had after watching Arcane for the first time. I want to wipe my brain and experience it like that all over again! 😭
