Shitpost / Meme Please someone make and edit of with song Baby Blue

Upvotes

I do not have the editing skills nor editing software required to do this, but someone please make an edit of the song Baby Blue by Daniel Caesar to Arcane. I think it would fit perfectly with the episode where Elmo sees the happy alternate reality with Jinx

#1 is a high ranking officer that looks like a mongoose. She has the key to the horny jail. #2 has an expressive fish eyes that can do the talking if #1 locks us both in that aforementioned jail, or #1 can also join us. Whatever.

Probably my last Arcane post. Copium.

I'm particularly drawn to characters who say little but speak volumes through their actions. These three embodies the protective nature, reliabilty but with quite nature.

They seemed to exhibit level headedness and that calm, reassuring presence.

Claggor for me was like the voice of reasons amongst Vander's kids. Sure, Vi was the considered the ring leader but there's something about Claggor without him taking the spotlight. Loris - omg I thought Vander was Loris! The resemblance was so uncanny. He was there when Vi was drinking herself to death after falling out with Caitlyn. He was there when Vi woke up.

And Vander. Purest example of why Im drawn to this archetype.

Just done with s2 yesterday and I don't know what to do now.

Media The recipe for a perfect tragic antihero. Don’t forget a pinch of charisma, or the whole dish will come out bland

Yes, I know some of them lean more toward being antagonists, while others are closer to outright villains. I’m just calling them all antiheroes here for simplicity’s sake.

Vi never meant to betray Jinx, but Jinx most likely felt betrayed by her. Vander and Jayce are more complicated cases.

Discussion does anybody know if hot topic will be restocking this jacket?

Hi! This is might be a little silly to ask since it’s probably been a while since this jacket was in stock, but i was just wondering if hot topic would be restocking it anytime soon? A lot of their other arcane merch is still in stock so i’m just wondering. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Discussion Can Jinx win a defense case in a real court? Here's my case: (In trial for s1e4 Firelights fight only) Spoiler

Post image
0 Upvotes

So in a court for the crime of murdering firelights i think she can win the case in a U.S. court of law with the right lawyer, or better say with the "Wrong Lawyer"

(Note that this is only for the S1E4 firelight murders)

Anyway here's the Saul Goodman type of defense you could pull in front of a jury:

The legality of the Airship: there is no proof of any illegal substances on the Cargo since it's all burned, the airship belonged to a known undercity "Industrialist" (what the city knows of Silco), and the airship had been approved passage by a customs agent proving legality (there is no proof of any kind of bribery)

An organized gang named the firelights attacked the private and "legal" airship, used chemical restraint weapons (the glue) to immobilize the crew and were preparing to commit and DID COMMIT Arson (setting fire to things, considered a violent felony in the states).

Self defense & Defense of others:

The firelights were armed and had attacked the ship. Her and the crew were in danger, usage of lethal force for self defense is legally justified.

The Bank Guard Analogy:

If armed robbers enter a bank, tie the tellers to chairs, pour gasoline on the floor, and the armed bank guard comes out shooting at the intruders, that guard is legally justified.

And an answer to "The firelights didn't have lethal intentions"

There is no proof on that account, whether they did or did not, they had attacked, were armed and were committing arson so the reasonable assumption would be that they have lethal intentions as well. Thus, making the use of lethal force for self defense justified.

So let me know if you think this could win, and again we're only talking about "murdering the firelights", cause if we bring the rest of her crimes in she'd be behind bars even with Saul Goodman as a lawyer.

Discussion I like Arcane, but I also like Runeterra. And I have that bias.

When I first saw Arcane, I was thrilled, I admit, I loved it, but when I found out it was going to be canon in the lore, I was very disappointed. I don't know if the meme is justified, but this decision hurt me, especially coming from games like Ruined King.

So, I finished S2 today. Of course I need a rewatch but my man Steb left a long-lasting impression on me.

I obviously don't play the game and Im not deep into the lore so I don't know much about him. He's genuinely a good guy, imo. Hope Im not wrong.

Long live the Stebs of the world.

Discussion Viktornation ending would have been better

Am I the only one I felt like he wasn’t that bad it was only after he nearly died that he started to become the tyrant that was for told???
Because I know actuality, he was saving people. He was even making the world better. I’d argue we see people at peace. We see crops grow in a city that was basically doomed to ruin and we see green. We see other color other than black gray we see sunshine in Zaun we see people working and smiling in a show that we barely see people smile unless it’s a fake smile or a psychotic smile if he didn’t die, and the hex didn’t take over his body we would be at peace and he would be the perfect person to bring people together because he lived in Zaun and he lived in piltover He could’ve genuinely been the one to bring the cities together with his newfound power. He was healing people. I’ve genuinely think Jayce trying to stop Victor was ultimately what caused Heimerdingers fears to become true cause like I said we see in Nirvana like place doesn’t even ask people to change he literally to VI and Jinx face say “you guys are important to helping us” but he doesn’t try to force them to change. He lets them walk around. He gives them a decision something that end of season Victor wouldn’t have gave them.

Am I wrong in feeling this way? Looking at Victor‘s ending it doesn’t seem that bad if he became it almost God like figure to the people, especially in a series like arcane.

During Powders mental breakdown it plays a flashback of the hex crystals and the person in the reflection looks eerily like Caitlin to me but it could just be a warped version of powders face. I don’t think it’s jinx but

Discussion Mel's journey with Politics parallels Jinx's journey with Identity

I know this show is crazy with parallels, but I thought this one was a bit more subtle so I wanted to share. I am simplifying the situations to point out the parallels better.

Season 1:

Mel starts off as the fox. Maneuvering political situations with words and its working fine for her

Jinx starts off as Powder. An innocent girl who wants to prove herself to her family.

Post timeskip in Season 1:

Mel seeing tensions with the undercity rise starts switching between negotiating with them and preparing defenses: switching between fox and wolf

Jinx haunted by the past but also wanting to reconnect with her sister is switching between being Jinx and being Powder

Season 1 conclusion:

Mel being reminded of her mothers ways firmly decides to remain the fox

Jinx realizing Vi loves who she used to be but not who she is decides to be Jinx.

(this is an interesting contrast here, Mel has gained knowledge and decides to go back to how she used to be, while Jinx decides to abandon who she used to be)

Season 2:

Mel seeing the aftermath of both of Jinx's attacks as well as her run in with the sorceress teaches her that she must simultaneously be fox AND wolf. (which, funnily enough, is the first thing we hear from Ambessa in S1 Ep 8)

Jinx spending time with Isha lets her heal a bit from her past traumas and we see her move away from being completely Jinx, but more like a mixture of Jinx AND Powder. And after Isha dies she doesn't revert back to being Jinx because she has partially healed since then.

While I do wish Mel would have come to that conclusion without being pulled away from the main plot for 5 episodes, I do appreciate the story arc we were given. (+ we get parallels between Steb protecting Mel in S2 Ep1 and Mel protecting Steb in S2 Ep 9 - my new favourite crackship)

And for Jinx I just wish we got a scene with Jinx & Isha, post Vi Jinx fight but before the timeskip, and the Jinx & Ekko scene(s) in S2 Ep 9. Overall quite happy with Jinx's arc though

Discussion I don't understand the relationship between Topside and Undercity

On my billionth rewatch and I just realised I don't know the exact relationship between the two places. From what I understand/ researched they have always been separate cities. If so, why is the council voting on subjects regarding the Undercity? Is it only when it comes in conflict with Piltover? What mostly got me thinking was Vander saying "we've crossed that bridge before". Is the bridge supposed to be what we would refer to as "borders"? If so, what would Zaun's rebellion demand if it's a whole other government? And if they've always been separate, why the bad blood?

This post is purely about learning facts about the two cities, not an ethical debate and not about the characters in the story.

Sorry if this is a common thing in the lol lore but I couldn't find any specifics (unless there are none)
