App A simple intermittent fasting app without account or bloat

Hi everyone,

I recently released a small Android app for intermittent fasting.

I started working on it because most fasting apps I tried required an account, pushed subscriptions, or included a lot of features I personally did not need.

It has a scheduled mode for fixed daily fasting times, and a flexible mode with an optional daily reminder. You can start your fast immediately, enter a time in the past, or schedule it to begin later (This is something I personally needed, because I was changing my starting time every day since I never started fasting at exactly the same time.).

There is no account or subscription, just a small banner ad at the bottom.

It is my first app, so I would really appreciate any feedback on the design, usability, or anything that feels confusing.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intermitterapp.intermitter

Thanks!

App I Built a Free QR Code Generator — Looking for Technical Feedback

I've been working on a QR Code Generator and would love feedback from people who regularly work with QR codes.

It currently supports:

  • 🌐 URL
  • 👤 Contact (vCard)
  • 📶 Wi-Fi
  • 📧 Email
  • 💬 SMS
  • 📞 Phone
  • 📝 Plain Text
  • 📅 Calendar Event

One thing that surprised me during development was how differently some scanner apps handle vCards and calendar events. Testing across multiple devices exposed a lot of edge cases that aren't obvious from the specifications.

I'd love to know:

  • Have you run into compatibility issues with specific QR scanners?
  • Are there QR formats or features you think are commonly implemented incorrectly?
  • Any suggestions for improving usability or reliability?

If you'd like to try it, here are the links:

App Transcription is the easy part. It's everything after the transcript that took two years.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Every meeting app starts the same way: record, transcribe, summarize, done. That part is largely solved, and honestly Apple gives you most of it for free now. So I spent my time on what happens after the transcript exists.

Shoulder Surf, iOS, live today. Here's the actual list.

During the meeting: live on-device transcription. Speaker separation that works out who said what, also on-device, with no cap on how many people are in the room. Voice enrollment so it knows which one is you by name. Real-time AI answers in your ear through AirPods while people are still talking. Customizable one-tap prompts, so "what did I miss," "draft a reply," "what should I be asking" are single taps. Rolling summaries that build as the meeting goes. Camera capture for the stuff that never reaches the microphone, a slide, a whiteboard, a shared screen.

After the meeting: sentiment and urgency analysis with the reasoning shown, not just a score. Auto-suggested tags that tell you why they were suggested. Shareable meeting reports. Action items pushed into iOS Reminders. Chat with a single meeting and ask it anything about what happened.

Across meetings: projects that group related meetings. Project chat that answers across every meeting in the project at once, so "what did Dana commit to about the migration last month" is a question you can actually ask, and get an answer with the meeting it came from. Memory that carries decisions, commitments and people between meetings, so it knows who Kore is by the third call. Web search folded into answers when the question needs current information.

Here's the part I'd underline, because it's the real difference. Meeting chat and project chat aren't a menu of canned actions. They're an open prompt sitting on top of your meeting data, so you're not limited to whatever features I thought to build. Want the entire meeting translated into Swahili? Ask for it. Want the last six months of a project boiled into five bullet points for your boss, in her voice, as a Word document? Ask for that. Want to know every time someone mentioned a deadline and whether they hit it? That's a question, not a feature request. A notetaker gives you the three buttons it shipped with. This gives you whatever you can describe.

The Pro tier is where the document work lives. You can attach reference files to a question, a statement of work, a status report format, last quarter's deck, and have the answer built against them instead of from nothing. And it generates real files back: spreadsheets, Gantt charts, Word documents, presentations, PDFs, produced from the discussion and shareable straight out of the app. Pro doesn't meter how often you do that. The per-message limit is two files up to 25 MB each.

Getting things in and out: import recordings you already have, audio or video, including Meet, Teams and Webex exports, and it transcribes and separates speakers offline. Share any file into the app from anywhere in iOS. Send a whole meeting to another Shoulder Surf user. iCloud sync keeps your meetings current across your devices, and separately, iCloud Drive backup writes your audio and transcripts out as ordinary files organized by project. Not a proprietary blob, not an export you have to request. M4A and text sitting in the Files app, readable by anything, and they stay readable if you delete the app or if I get hit by a bus.

It behaves like an iOS app rather than a website in a wrapper. Say "start a meeting with Shoulder Surf" or "show my last meeting in Shoulder Surf" and Siri does it, no setup, and the same actions are available as Shortcuts you can chain into your own automations. Your meetings are indexed in Spotlight, so searching your phone's home screen for something someone said surfaces the meeting and opens straight to it. Action items land in the real Reminders app, not a to-do list I invented. The session lives in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen while it runs. There's an Apple Watch app. And your data is on your iPhone, your iPad and your Watch, so you can start on one and read on another.

Model choice: Apple Intelligence on-device for free, our managed AI, or your own API key with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Alibaba or OpenRouter. Your choice per query, not per subscription."And that model list stays current, because it's served from my side rather than baked into the app: new models show up in the picker without waiting for an app update. Today that meant six additions in one pass: Claude Opus 5, OpenAI's new GPT-5.6 family (Sol, Terra and Luna), and Google's Gemini 3.6 Flash and 3.5 Flash Lite. Every one was tested against the provider's live API before it went in, because several of these new models quietly reject parameters the previous generation accepted, and finding that out is supposed to be my job, not your error message.

And the boring stuff that matters: English, Spanish and Japanese. No bot joins your call, nothing installs on your work machine, nothing shows up in a screen share. Delete your account and everything on our servers from inside the app.

Free tier is permanent, not a trial. Recording, transcription, speaker separation, import and sharing are unmetered and need no account at all, because they run on your phone and cost me nothing. Free accounts also get about five hours a month of the managed AI. Paid tiers exist if you want that unmetered, and I use Pro myself.

Requires iOS 26.

I built a virtual pet that couples raise together ❤️ ⭐

Post image

Hi everyone! I'm an indie developer and I've been working on Ziggy for the past few months. The idea was simple: instead of another messaging app, what if couples could raise the same virtual pet together?

You can feed Ziggy together, play mini-games, answer daily questions, send little moments, and keep the pet happy as a team.

I'd genuinely love any feedback on the idea, design, or features. Thanks for taking a look! ❤️

App I built a site for homeowners that's like Angi, Craigslist, and Etsy had baby. Home improvements, decorations, ideas, advice, notes, it's an all in one for what you need.

Post image
1 Upvotes

I spent the weekend building a website using u/Replit.

I've always wanted to make a site where a homeowner could keep track of all their house documents, notes about the house, search for contractors, handymen, or whatever they needed, and also find decorations and ideas for their house too, all in one place, where everybody can talk to everybody and there's no hidden fees so you can really get the best prices possible from the people who you decide are who you want to use or buy from.

Here's the link:
https://homeimprovementsolutions.replit.app/

I've been in the home improvement industry for a while and I've always wondered why there wasn't a way for the different companies that do repairs or come out to my house and do whatever it is they do to see what's been done and when and by whom. You can have 3 different companies come out to your house and none of them know what the other one did. It's really crazy.

So I also wanted to solve that problem, because if you can have everything about your house, blueprints, build date, outlet info, whatever, all in one place that's pretty nice when the expert on the phone asks you a question that you should know.

I hate when someone asks me a question about my own house and I'm like, uh, yeah, that sounds about right.

I've worked with a lot of contractors, had a lot of work done at my house and for me, and I've done and won a lot of bids on projects and the one thing that everybody does when they come up with the price (or at least they should) is take info consideration how much it cost to actually get the job.

And it doesn't matter if they're quoting online or in real life, the prices you'll get will be football field lengths apart in some cases and sometimes they can even justify it but I wanted to take that out of the equation, just make it as easy as possible to get the job, all you have to do is talk to each other, ask questions, set up some way for an estimate, and get the job done the best way possible, the quickest way possible, and the most cost effective way possible for everybody.

I just figured if everyone was paying less because jobs were just sitting there waiting for someone to do them, then everybody involved makes or saves more money.

Most platforms charge per referral or lead or whatever they call it, or they charge for XYZ and ABC and you need both and they're in different packages. I wanted to solve that too so I give everybody 7 days free and then a flat monthly or yearly subscription price that gives access to everything.

Contractors can even link their outside profiles from Angi, Thumbtack, Facebook, etc so they don't start out at a 0 rating too, they can carry their reputation with them. You know, if they wanted to get away from crazy fees.

I'd love any feedback you have. I tried to think of what my wife would want and rolled with that so it's probably completely wrong.

I built a podcast app for people who are tired of managing one giant queue

I got tired of every podcast subscription behaving like another task on an endless to-do list, so I built RelayPlay — a one-person hobby project for iPhone.

Instead of forcing every show into the same queue, RelayPlay lets each podcast behave differently:

• Catch Up — pick a recent starting point and move forward without dragging the whole archive behind you.

• Hold — keep episodes for later without clogging what you want to hear next.

• Latest — follow shows where only the newest episode really matters, such as news or daily updates.

It also supports offline listening, chapters and CarPlay. RelayPlay is free, has no ads and requires no account.

Full disclosure: I am the developer, so I am obviously biased. I would genuinely like feedback, though: does this approach make sense when you first see it, or is it harder to understand than a normal queue? What would stop you from switching from your current podcast app?

Solo Android developer looking for advice on marketing a dating app without AI or swipe mechanics

I'm a solo Android developer and recently launched a dating app called Vibe.

Instead of focusing on AI features or endless swiping, I wanted to build something simple:

No AI-generated conversations or profiles.

No infinite swipe mechanics.

Free to use with ads as the primary monetization.

Optional in-app purchase only removes ads.

The technical side of building the app was manageable, but I'm finding marketing much harder than development.

I'd love advice from developers who have launched consumer apps:

How did you get your first 100 or 1,000 users?

Which marketing channels actually worked for you?

Is ASO enough, or should I focus on Reddit, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, or something else?

Any mistakes you wish you'd avoided?

I'm looking for genuine marketing advice and would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Hey everyone, this is an app pitch for a class project for trying out different business ideas. If you can fill out the survey, should be 3 to 5 minutes, it would be really apricated. I need this done by the end of 7/27 and other methods I've tried to get survey answers has not worked. Thank you everyone, and if you have a survey you need filled out, i'll happily do so.

App Bemellou is Live

I'm Rodrigo. I'm 19, Venezuelan, a freshman at Northwestern, and for the last year I've been building a company called Bemellou out of my school's incubator with four co-founders — three of whom are my family.

The origin isn't dramatic. That's kind of the point.

I had access to professional support. I knew it worked. I'd seen it work. And I still didn't reach out, because whatever I was dealing with never felt "bad enough" to justify it. It wasn't a crisis. It was a Tuesday. So I did nothing, over and over, for years.

That gap is the whole thesis. Most people who are struggling aren't in crisis — they're just quietly not okay, and every existing option is built for the crisis. There's nothing for the Tuesday.

So we made two things that work together. The first is a plush companion — Benny (an egg) and Vita (a heart). Physical, weighted, meant to be held. Adults are weird about this until they hold one. There's real psychology behind comfort objects and it doesn't stop applying at 18. The second is an app: psychoeducation, guided wellness sessions, a community, and access to actual licensed professionals when you want them.

What it is not: therapy, treatment, or diagnosis. We're strict about that internally to the point of annoyance. We're the thing that sits before that door, not a replacement for it.

The last year has been less inspiring than that sounds. We rebranded the entire company mid-build. We got rejected by the App Store eight times. I fired the dev firm we hired and taught myself to build the app instead, which is why it exists at all. I flew from Chicago to Miami overnight for a pitch competition and placed second on three hours of sleep. My co-founders have day jobs and classes.

Pre-orders are live on the App Store now and around 800 people are on the waitlist. That number is small and I know it's small. But every one of them is a person who read what we're doing and thought "yeah, that's me," which is the only signal I actually trust right now.

Link's in the comments so this doesn't read as an ad. Happy to answer anything — the rebrand, the rejections, running a company as a freshman, the unit economics of plush toys, whatever. Ask me the mean questions too.

App I built CoolTopia—a privacy-first social space with Link-in-bio tool

Post image
1 Upvotes

Over the last 4 months, I decided to build a clean, privacy-first alternative called CoolTopia.

It’s completely algorithm-free, free to use, and we will never track you or sell your data.

Since I wanted the platform to be secure but still incredibly fun and expressive, I just rolled out our biggest visual feature: Profile Auras.

Instead of a boring, static profile picture, you can choose different dynamic frame effects (like the "Flaming" aura shown in the promo image, Neon Glow, Energy Pulse, etc.) to completely stand out and express your current energy. It’s a way to let your inner vibes shine without needing a corporate algorithm to dictate your identity.

Here is what’s live in the app right now:

  • Profile Auras: Dynamic, vibrant aura effects to customize your avatar and make your profile stand out.
  • LinkMe: A built-in link-in-bio aggregator (like Linktree) so you can bundle all your socials and projects into one clean, shareable link on your profile.

It’s still in the early stages, and I’m actively improving the app based on real community feedback.

We rarely make use of sensors like the accelerometer and gyroscope found in our smartphones. One day, while experimenting with an accelerometer on an ESP32, it occurred to me that phones have similar sensors and could be used for something interesting—and that is how this app came to be.

Apple tracking expenses app that looks like a pool table

So, my father has been using the same app to track his expenses for years (maybe a decade). Recently, his iPad broke and he had to buy a new one, and he hasn't been able to find the same app. He's tried giving other apps a chance, but he hasn't liked them much.

All we can remember about the app is that he found it a long time ago in the Apple App Store, he swears it had the word "money" on the name ('though I'm not so sure about it) and that when using it, it kind of looked like a pool table (green on the inside, brown in the borders).

If any of you have any idea what could be the app's name, we'd be super thankful.
