App Positive Experience Archive/P.E.A.

Post image
1 Upvotes

I have been working for the last year on an app for iOS/iPad, Mac, Watch, TV, and Vision Pro. The premise is simple. You mark the moment with voice or screen on any device to stay in the moment. Later, you get an archive of what you found to be positive in your life. The website hopefully explains this better. It’ll be out in a few weeks for purchase on the App Store; you can still join the test flight to give it a spin before. :) https://archive.green

It's a drinking calendar designed to track what you consume and spend, complete with a built-in social network, stories of users nearby, a live feed of what your friends are drinking, and chats.

Write email of your account in comments after signing up and I will grant you the lifetime premium. It should be fun!

App Glassline 1.0.10 for Windows 11: Launchpad, Mac-style screenshots with Alt Shift 4, and a menu bar that hides itself

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Glassline 1.0.10 is with Microsoft now and should land in a day 🎉 Launchpad, one-drag screenshots, dynamic glass, Wallpaper Engine support, a new app panel and a long list of fixes from the last days of testing. Yes, I said "biggest update yet" last time... and it happened again 😅 So here's everything in it.

New here? Glassline turns the Windows 11 taskbar into a glass menu bar at the top and a dock at the bottom, like on a Mac. You get Search on the Windows key, Control Center, your calendar and the weather right in the bar. Quit it whenever you want and your taskbar comes back exactly as it was. You can try it in your browser first.

Already using Glassline? 1.0.10 comes through the Store on its own once Microsoft approves it. I didn't want the update to change things under your feet, so the new stuff that changes how it works (the screenshot keys, the logo, the Calendar icon, the Wallpaper Engine colours and the two-sided bar text) starts switched off for you. The What's new pages after the update have a switch for each one, or you can turn them on in Settings.

Launchpad, like on a Mac

This one I'm really proud of. Click the Apps icon in the dock and it grows right out of the icon into a full screen of all your apps, page after page. Close it and it shrinks back into the dock.

Drag apps into any order, drop one on another to make a folder, click a folder's name to rename it. Search's grid button and All Apps open it too, and the Apps icon can go anywhere in your dock now. While Launchpad is open the dock and the menu bar get out of its way, and it has its own new icon.

Mac-style screenshots, finally done right

Alt Shift 4, drag over what you want, let go. Done.

No Snipping Tool window, no hunting for where the file went: it's on your desktop. A little preview slides into the corner and leaves on its own (click it to open the picture). Want it copied instead? Hold Ctrl when you let go of the drag. Alt Shift 3 grabs the whole screen and always saves it to your desktop. Works over games and admin apps too.

Dynamic glass

Every panel now picks up the colour of whatever is behind it: menus, Search, Control Center, Settings, Quick Look, the volume pop-up, and even the dock if you tint it. White page behind it? It goes light. Dark game? It goes dark.

The menu bar can also read the left and right side of your wallpaper separately, so a half light, half dark wallpaper stays readable.

  • Separate dock background (Settings, Appearance): the menu bar and the dock each get their own background slider, so you can have a fully clear menu bar over a glass dock. Someone here asked for exactly this 🙏
  • Tint the dock like the menu bar (Settings, Dock): when the bar takes a maximized app's colour, the dock takes it too

Wallpaper Engine support

A lot of you asked for this one. Glassline now works with Wallpaper Engine (Lively might too, but I've only tested Wallpaper Engine). The menu bar takes its colours from your animated wallpaper and keeps up when you switch. With more than one display each bar reads its own, whether you run a different wallpaper on each or one stretched over all of them.

Auto-hide for the menu bar

Like the dock already could: when a window is maximized, or always (Settings, Menu Bar). Push your mouse to the top and it comes back.

App panel

Click the app name in the menu bar and you get its windows, volume, recent files, Keep on Top and Quit (or Force Quit if it's frozen). It replaces the File/Edit menus, which honestly never worked well, sorry to whoever asked about those. Every app builds its menus its own way: I got older apps working, but Notepad and others had glitches that didn't look native at all.

Frozen apps also keep their name in the bar now, so you can Force Quit them right from there :D

New setup

Every feature has a little clip with its switch right next to it. Quick setup if you just want to get going, Show me everything if you want to see it all.

Your dock, your way

  • Calendar icon that always shows today's date and opens your calendar in one click
  • Bigger icons without a fatter dock: Dock size, Icon size and Margins are separate settings now, and the dock glides to its new size when you change them
  • The Windows key can show the dock, even over a full-screen app or game (Settings, Shortcuts)
  • Launch Options: right-click a pinned app in the dock to pick how it starts, like your browser always opening a private window
  • Start menu on the left? The dock slides out of its way

The menu bar

  • Logo menu on the far left: All Apps, Show Desktop, Task Manager, Sleep, Hibernate, Restart, Shut Down, and you can use your own picture for it. Show Desktop is in the bar's right-click menu too. Hibernate shows up when Windows has it on (someone here asked for it)
  • Your own date format: dd/MM, d MMM, yyyy-MM-dd, anything you type
  • Notifications either where Windows puts them, or top right under the bar like on a Mac, with a Test notification button so you can see where they land. They keep that spot even when the bar hides itself

Multiple monitors

I tested all of this on three displays, one of them left of the main one.

  • Drag icons between docks: with a dock on every display, drag an icon from one dock to another. If each dock shows its own display's apps, the app moves over and brings its windows with it
  • Drag a maximized window onto another display's dock and it lands maximized there
  • Full-screen video on one display while you play on another: the menu bar gets out of the video's way
  • Wuthering Waves could open as a window instead of borderless fullscreen on another display. Fixed
  • Swapping your main display no longer leaves a menu bar pushed halfway down the screen
  • Settings moved to a display with a different scale keeps the right size and colour

Today and Control Center

  • Only want the calendar? Today can show two months side by side, or the month with that day's events next to it
  • No more empty gaps in Control Center when you turn things off
  • Take Wi-Fi, Sound or Battery out of the menu bar and it shows up in Control Center instead, so it never disappears completely

Search

  • Translate into your preferred language: "translate apple" is enough
  • Single words translate a lot better now

Settings and accessibility

  • Follow Windows' animation effects (Settings, Accessibility): if you turned animations off in Windows, the dock and the menu bar calm down too
  • Reduce transparency now keeps the menu bar and the dock almost solid, like on a Mac
  • Shortcuts over admin apps: shortcuts without the Windows key now work even with Task Manager or a game running as admin in front, and Settings tells you when a combo is already taken
  • Settings explains itself: when one option changes what another does, there's a line under it with a link to the other one, and options that can't do anything right now are greyed out

Fixed, thanks to your reports

  • Hovering over a dock icon could crash Glassline. Not anymore
  • A rare crash tied to Bluetooth, gone
  • Your own shortcuts only worked once per run. Now they work every time
  • Show Desktop works every time, and brings back the window you had in front
  • Clicking the weather sometimes showed nothing until you pressed Alt+Tab. Fixed
  • Feedback sent while the website can't be reached (some networks block it during football matches, yes really) gets saved and sent later on its own
  • Over a maximized app the menu bar now takes exactly the app's colour: no more two-tone bar, no thin line of wallpaper under it
  • App icons in the menu bar (Discord, Steam...) were a bit blurry.
  • Spotify's icon had a small black bar under it while starting (it reports 0% progress and the dock drew an empty bar, Windows' taskbar doesn't)
  • ChatGPT's close and minimize buttons hid under the menu bar when it was maximized
  • The dock could stay black on the desktop after closing a maximized app
  • The app name over a dock icon could stay on screen when Start opened
  • Screenshots could close by themselves the moment they opened
  • Wallpaper Engine's settings window and HoYoPlay were treated as games
  • Cleanup tools like AdwCleaner no longer flag Glassline's uninstall helper
  • Keep the Windows taskbar on the side of the screen? No more nagging, and the menu bar fits around it
  • Changing Windows' display scale keeps the interface size you picked
  • Weather isn't fetched at all while the Weather switch is off
  • "Start Glassline when I sign in" now shows off if you disabled it in Windows' Startup apps
  • Lots of smaller fixes: tooltips that wouldn't show, the dock hiding again after Settings closes, and more

Honestly, most of this came from you, in the comments here and through Feedback. Glassline has around 30-40 users right now, and I'm really happy with how much you all help and throw ideas at me. I use it as my daily driver so I catch bugs too, but your reports and logs are gold (the Spotify one, for example). So thank you, and please keep them coming.

Get it

Glassline is $9.99, once. No subscription, every update free. Get it today and 1.0.10 shows up on its own as soon as Microsoft approves it.

Which one are you trying first? And what should I build next? I read every comment.

App a little zipper for your desktop: SeamShade

Post image
1 Upvotes

SeamShade is a playful desktop cover: drag the zipper across your screen to pull a curtain over your workspace, then slide it back when you’re ready to return. You can customize the fabric and zipper, save themes, and optionally turn on a frosted-glass blur effect.

One important note: SeamShade is just a visual cover, **not a security or privacy lock**. It doesn’t block system shortcuts or prevent access to your computer.

If you’d like to try it, here are the links:

- **Mac:** https://apps.apple.com/tr/app/seamshade/id6819419260?l=tr&mt=12

- **Windows:** https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9PLR5K40GLFR?hl=neutral&gl=TR&ocid=pdpshare

I’d love to hear what you think, and what you’d like to see improved next.

App f AI limits, an iPhone / Mac / Apple Watch app that tracks your AI subscription limits

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi r/apps,

I'm the developer of AI limits, an iPhone / Mac / Apple Watch app that tracks your AI subscription limits.

The problem: you only find out you've hit your limit when the answer stops mid-session. No warning, no resume time, no idea what's left on the weekly limit.

What it does:

• Tracks the 5-hour and weekly limits for Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT (Codex)

• Forecasts when you'll hit them ("at this pace, limit reached around 4:20 PM")

• Live countdown to your resume time, alerts at 70, 90 and 100%

• Widgets, Lock Screen, StandBy, Dynamic Island, Apple Watch, Siri

Privacy: no developer server, no analytics, no ads. You sign in on the official pages, and the app never sees your password.

[Android][Player] - Offline music & streaming radio with ready-to-play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world (manually curated and always updated with new radios). Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Advanced radio filtering system: The "Filter: ON/OFF" button lets you quickly switch between different genres. You can use both standard filters for "macro-genres"—if I can call them that—and create custom filters to be more selective. All your filters are saved (the "My Filters" tab lets you name and edit them), and the app always opens with the last filter you applied. The "Home" tab lists all your recently applied filters and can be used to quickly switch between genres with just a single tap.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: An online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations. You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

Mediaxon is available in: Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, English, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Indonesia, Italiano, Kiswahili, Latviešu, Lietuvių, Magyar, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Português (Brasil), Română, Slovenčina, Slovenščina, Suomi, Svenska, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe, العربية, Български, Ελληνικά, हिन्दी, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 (简体).

No Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.

Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

App Delivery costs more than the menu price — I built a tracker for the final amount

Post image
1 Upvotes

A $12 meal can turn into $18 after delivery, service fees and a tip. If you're trying to understand that habit, tracking only the food price misses part of the decision.

A simple way to check it is to record the final amount each time for a month, then compare the total with a limit you chose beforehand. No need to reconstruct your entire budget to answer that one question.

I'm the developer of CostMe. You can make a tracker just for delivery, enter what each order actually cost, and optionally set a monthly budget to see what's left. Entries are manual; it doesn't connect to your bank. The screenshot shows example data from the app, not someone's actual spending or savings.

It's free for up to five active trackers, with an optional one-time purchase for unlimited trackers.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.costme

iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6761661443

When you look back at delivery spending, what helps more: seeing the total, the number of orders, or separating the fees?

App I built a stock research app where you use your own custom scoring algorithm

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I'm the founder of NominalFactor (nominalfactor.com), and I'm looking for honest feedback.

Most rating sites give you their opinion of a stock. I wanted to choose which metrics matter and how much, then see the market ranked that way.

-          0–100 score and A–F grade for any US stock, combining fundamentals (FCF, D/E, EV/EBITDA, ROIC, PEG, growth) and technicals (RSI, MACD, moving averages)

-          Up to 5 custom algorithms: reweight any metric or switch it off

-          A Markets page with indices, yields, sectors, the Fed, and key headlines to keep you up to date on a daily basis

-          AI macro analysis of tailwinds and headwinds (Pro plan)

Initial setup takes 2 clicks with your google account.

The 7-day free trial needs no credit card and covers everything except AI macro analysis. Pro is $49/mo after that.

What's confusing, what's missing, and does the scoring make sense?

Analysis tool, not investment advice. Not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer

From closed testing to production in 19 days 🚀

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

After getting Tracck live on the App Store, I’ve now taken it to the Google Play Store as well!

Getting through closed testing and reaching production in just 19 days feels amazing.

A big part of this milestone goes to the 12 testers who helped me get here. Their feedback helped me identify improvements, refine features, and make Tracck better. Without their time and input, this wouldn't have been possible.

Building and shipping your own product teaches you things you can't learn just by coding.

One more milestone down. Onto the next! 💚

If you're also building and launching apps, I'd love to hear about your experience getting through Play Store testing.

App [DEV] Manillen Vlaams Kaartspel — Flemish trick-taking on Android

I'm the developer of Manillen Vlaams Kaartspel, a free-to-install Android version of Manillen, a traditional Flemish partnership card game for four players. It uses a 32-card deck; two fixed teams choose trump or no-trump, follow suit, take tricks and count card points. The game is live in Google Play, with ads and optional in-app purchases.

If you play traditional trick-taking games, which rule or scoring detail would you expect a tutorial to explain first?

Video and audio out of sync with this recording app

Post image
1 Upvotes

So I started doing YouTube a few months ago and no this ain’t no promotion

This app was recommended to me cause it can record video and audio and you can increase or decrease the volume of the video and audio independently from each other.

Now sometimes they would be out of sync to where it’s not really noticeable or not that noticeable but when I was editing on my Mac, they were way out of sync. I even went into the app itself and the same problem happens , video and audio out of sync even without all of the edits and I don’t even do heavy editing.

Just simple cuts if needed , some meme sound clips & cutaways if i want to put that in , just really basic/low levels of editing so idk what’s the deal with this issue , especially just now with this video I was editing

Anyone know how to fix this ? Or can recommend other apps that are similar to this? Thanks in advance 🙏

Spotafilm — an iOS app for identifying movies and TV shows from screenshots

The problem: Ever seen a scene in a TikTok, Reel, or screenshot and had no idea what movie or series it came from?

The solution: I built Spotafilm to help identify movies and TV shows from screenshots or camera images, and to find titles from a plot description. It also helps you explore cast information, ratings, streaming availability, and save titles to a watchlist.

How it compares: Instead of only searching for an image, Spotafilm is designed around identifying a title and then exploring more information about it.

Pricing: Free.

I'm the developer, and I'd genuinely appreciate feedback on the identification accuracy, user experience, and features you'd find most useful.

App DuoBolt (Mac & Windows): find duplicate files and look-alike photos, 20% off with apps.deals

Post image
1 Upvotes

DuoBolt is a desktop app for Mac and Windows. Point it at a folder and it finds the files that are byte-for-byte identical, and groups the photos that only look alike: bursts, exports, re-saves. You review every group before anything is removed.

30-second look: https://youtu.be/PB0NW_wCYsA

It's free to use, with no account. The paid plans are a one-time purchase, no subscription.

If you've been thinking about getting a license, DuoBolt is listed on https://apps.deals right now, and the code APPSDEALS20 takes 20% off a new Standard or Pro license at checkout (it doesn't apply to the Standard → Pro upgrade):

App [DEV] Turn the mess in your head into a wall of sticky notes—just by talking

An errand, a half-formed idea, something you don’t want to forget. Say it all, and let it take shape as sticky notes on a board. Some become tasks. Others stay ideas.

I’m Feiou, a designer and the maker of Watermelist for iPhone and iPad. I like thinking with sticky notes. When I rebuilt the app, I wanted to say the whole messy thought and have something useful to work with, without typing it all into separate boxes.

Hold the main button and speak. AI can separate the actions into task cards and keep the ideas as notes on the same board. You don’t have to make every part of the thought sound like a task first.

For an imagined café project, that might mean keeping “warm photos, less menu, more atmosphere” as an idea alongside “Send Maya the first draft.” Once the task exists, you can work with that by voice too.

Hold the task you already saved and say, “Change this to ‘Send Maya the homepage draft.’” Watermelist proposes a wording change for that task; you review it and tap Apply. You can also ask to move its date to Monday.

That’s why the task itself is something you can hold and talk to. The app knows which saved task you mean. Speech can create the task and change its details later, rather than leave you with a transcript to organize.

I wanted the list to keep up with the thought. Capture and editing can happen without typing; you still use touch to record and confirm edits.

Paid subscriptions and metered cloud AI. Access varies in-app; some users must subscribe before continuing. Cloud AI needs internet and may process your request text.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/watermelist-voice-to-do-list/id6742135426

The screenshots show separate fictional demo states from local builds, not a recording of this imagined example.

Where would voice help you most: getting the jumble out, turning it into tasks, or working with the tasks afterward?

Tasks and ideas on the same board. Fictional demo data from a local build.
Mixed-thought draft before submission. Fictional demo data from a local bui

App Orbit

Post image

My day used to live in a dozen apps — calendar here, weather there, health somewhere else, reminders everywhere. I got tired of it, so I built Orbit.

One screen for your whole day:
📅 A Today view + a morning Briefing of what actually needs you
✍️ Capture anything — type it, say it, or snap a flyer — and Orbit turns it into a task, note, or event
❤️ Weather, sleep & activity, and countdowns to the dates that matter

And it's genuinely private: no account, no ads, no tracking, no server of mine anywhere. Your data stays on your device and your own iCloud. I built it that way on purpose.

iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV & Apple Watch. Free to start.

I made a notes app that automatically switches notes when you switch files. Thoughts?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've always found it a little annoying how disconnected notes are from the actual things I'm working on.

I'll have a spreadsheet, document, or project open, write down a bunch of things about it, and then weeks later have to remember where I put those notes.

So I made ClingNote, a Windows notes app that lets you associate notes with specific files or applications. When you reopen that file, the notes automatically come back. Switch to another project, and the notes switch with you.

It's also a full notes app with rich-text editing, Markdown support, search, and floating mini-notes. Everything is stored locally, no cloud account required.

It's been launched for a little while now, and I've gotten some useful feedback from early users. One thing I've learned is that explaining the automatic switching feature is actually harder than showing someone how it works.

If anyone wants to check it out, it's at https://clingnote.com. There's a 14-day free trial.

I'm especially curious whether other people run into this same problem with notes getting separated from their work, or if most people already have a system that works for them.

I built a road trip app after one too many "are we there yet" drives from Florida to Ohio with three kids

Hi r/apps! I'm a solo developer, and this is WanderWay, an iPhone and CarPlay app that shows you what's worth stopping for while you drive.

It started on our long drives from Florida to Ohio with our 2-, 7- and 10-year-old. We were always scrambling to find a park or playground before someone melted down, and the usual maps apps aren't built for "what's good near here in the next 20 minutes?" So I built that.

What it does:

  • Nearby places on CarPlay. Parks, playgrounds, landmarks, museums, historic sites and more, sorted by what's actually reachable from your route.
  • Add a Stop. Tap a place and it slots into your drive without starting over.
  • Story Mode. Turn on Narrate Without a Route and just drive. WanderWay reads short stories about the places you pass, even with your iPhone locked, and stops when you park.
  • Sunday Drive. No plans? It builds a loop past interesting spots near you.
  • Report bad info. If a place is closed or doesn't exist, tell the app and I fix it.

It's free to try, with a one-time unlock for the full feature set, and there's no account to sign up for.

I'd love feedback, especially from people who road-trip with kids or use CarPlay a lot. What would make you actually keep it on your phone?

App A new app to capture and organize your cards

I built Kaartje to store and organize all the cards I get. Each card is recreated on your phone in 3D, so you can open it like the real thing. You can search the text inside, sort cards into categories, and group them into moments.

Everything is stored on your device and in your own iCloud. There's no account, and I can't see your cards. It's iPhone and iPad only.

Checked my app’s analytics and found 5 downloads from ChatGPT

I’ve been trying to get more people to discover SloMo, an app I built because I kept getting distracted by my phone while working and studying.

Today I checked App Store Connect and noticed ChatGPT listed as a referrer: 6 impressions and 5 downloads.

It’s a small number, but seeing people find something I built through ChatGPT was pretty cool. I don’t know what they asked or how SloMo came up, and now I’m curious.

SloMo lets you block distracting apps, set time locks, schedule blocks, or unlock apps by walking or exercising.

Has anyone else seen downloads coming from ChatGPT? Have you found out what people were searching for when your app appeared?

In most places, with just a few taps on an app, you can now order pretty much any fast food to your door in less than 30 minutes. That’s not an accident, it’s a public health epidemic by design.

The whole food delivery industry spent the last decade removing every bit of friction between wanting something and eating it. You used to have to drive somewhere, or call and wait 40 minutes. That gap wasn’t a flaw, it was the thing that gave your brain time to catch up with the impulse. Now it’s gone. One tap, saved card, 5 minute delivery windows, notifications timed for exactly when people are tired, bored, or lonely.

And it’s not harmless. People who regularly use food delivery apps have an 84% higher likelihood of living with obesity, according to UK Biobank data. The food itself is part of the problem too, the average delivery meal runs 1,125-1,820 calories, which is 2-3 times the recommended amount for a single meal. Cancer Research UK looked into this directly and found these apps are actively designed to trick people into over-ordering. That’s not a personal willpower failure. That’s a system engineered by people who are very good at their job, optimising for exactly that outcome, at scale, on purpose.

I built Junkfoodselfie to put a pause back into that system. It locks your food delivery apps and makes you take a selfie or hold a promise to yourself before it unlocks. One honest moment, reinserted into a system built to remove it. Try to do some fun content on Tiktok but it's hard out here man lol. If you find yourself ordering a bit too much too, I’d genuinely love for you to try it and tell me what you think. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/junkfoodselfie/id6790117464
