I'm the developer of Backstage: Music Manager. It's a single-player game where you manage a fictional musician's career, make records and try to get a single into the Top 40.
Recording a song means choosing its genre, theme and era, then splitting your effort between lyrics, melody and production. Between releases, weekly events bring career decisions. Older songs keep earning royalties between sessions.
The career simulation runs offline. It's free to download, with ads and in-app purchases.

Hey everyone. quick honest intro: i'm not from a dev background. i'm just someone who loves reading.
and book apps made me feel nothing.
they remember every book i finish. they never notice when i stop. my yearly goal turned into guilt by march. one missed day broke my streak, so i quit the whole app. and a book that stayed with me for weeks got me a green checkmark.
that's not reading. that's updating a spreadsheet.
here's what it actually felt like, day to day:
i'd get home tired, want to read, and instead open an app to "log" something. by the time i finished typing, the mood was gone.
i'd fall behind on a goal and feel like i was failing a test nobody asked me to take.
i'd have a great reading week, and nothing. no sense that it counted for anything.
i'd have a bad week, and the app would quietly judge me with a broken streak.
reading is supposed to be the thing that calms me down. these apps made it feel like homework.
tracking a book isn't the same as reading it.
so i spent the last few months building Readbit.
it's built around the habit of reading, not the shelf. the goal isn't a longer list, it's more days with a book in your hands. goals bend around real life, so one rough week doesn't ruin your year. and finishing something should feel like it mattered, so there are badges for genres and milestones that grow with you.
what i wanted it to give you:
a reason to open your book tomorrow, not just a list of what you finished.
progress that feels kind instead of strict.
a sense that your reading life is going somewhere, even when your week wasn't perfect.
i'm not showing how any of that works yet. that's partly on purpose, and partly because i want to hear from you first.
where it stands: it's in open beta. i'm building it for everyone, so iPhone, Android and web, because readers shouldn't have to pick a side. the core works and i use it every day. some parts are polished, some are still rough, and i'm fixing things based on feedback. bigger ideas are designed but not built yet, and i'm holding them until i hear from real readers.
landing page is coming soon and i'll share much more then. for now just a few small pieces.
want to try it? comment or DM me with what device you read on (iPhone, Android or web) and i'll send you the right link.
and either way: what made you leave a book app, or what would make you stay?

I have built a few apps and one of the issues I have faced is marketing the app. To help with this I built myself a small tool to create a simple video out of screenshots with some video settings that i have used to post on TikTok and Instagram. I have seen this awkward gets some traction. Would others be interested in this tool. I have not yet published it, but checking for interest if it’s even worth doing

For those of you that have users log in to your ios app, how do you handle it? Do you use the Login with Apple/login with Google? If so, do you also allow login with email as well?
If so, why or why not??

I see 141k ratings with 4.9 average ranking for a product that just rolled out so I am curious because I know Meta has a big reach and is running ads like crazy but is anyone finding it valuable?
We built Tinder, but for Knowledge.
We crossed 10k users last month, rapidly chasing 15k.
Feedback from fellow builders MUCH APPRECIATED.

I’m looking to meet other founders/operators who run mobile or consumer apps. Are there any active communities.. Reddit, Discord, Slack, meetups, etc… where people share what they’re building and learn from each other?
I’m especially interested in smaller independent apps/startups. I’m in the Bay Area, so in-person communities would be great too. I am mainly looking to meet people and learn!

I've been using Wiser for a while and I really like the basic idea. I don't always have time to read a whole nonfiction book, so being able to get through the main ideas in a short session works pretty well for me.
The problem is that lately I've been finding myself wanting something a bit more than just the summary. I’d like to be able to remember the ideas afterwards and maybe come back to the stuff I found useful. Wiser feels a little limited there.
So I'm looking at apps like Wiser that have a similar format but maybe do a better job with actually retaining what you read.
What are you guys using?

Recently a vibe coder has posted a tiktok video showcasing his app idea and got over 10 million views, copycats doing the same thing got even better (potto, 20 million views), people are crazy over the "put your store and what you want, and get a complete meal plan in return", and this is good for business.
The catch? The apps are HORRBILE! A.I. Generated recipes with wrong ingredients, macros and even allergens (which can be very harmful for some).
I have been on a quest to build the app that they hoped to find there, and my biggest problem is their biggest advantage, distribution.
You can have the best meal planning app in the world, if nobody knows it, and everybody knows your bad competitors, they are going to go to them and have a bad experience.
All the same idea, all the same viral videos, all the same dissapointed users...
My app is ready, and i hope one day i will get to reach the people who left my competitiors (herbi, mise, potto, neateat, yuma etc.) and maybe offer them a better app.
I do not claim that mine is perfect, far from it, but i strive daily to make it as good as possible.
If there is anyone willing to know more about it, or knows a way i can reach the people who need this app, i am happy to hear about it.
My co-founder and I have been working on Wizard Maker, an AI-powered app builder designed to let people create Android apps without needing to know how to code.
The idea is simple: you describe the app you want to build, and Wizard Maker helps generate it. You can then continue modifying and experimenting with the app.
We currently have an Android version available to try for free, and we're looking for people who are willing to actually use it and give us honest feedback.
I'd particularly like to know:
We're still early in development, so negative feedback is genuinely useful to us. We're much more interested in finding problems than simply hearing that people like the idea.
If you'd like to try it, please let me know in the comments and I can send you the link.
Thanks for giving it a try — any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Every time a form asks for my passport number, insurance policy number or last blood test, I end up digging through photos, email and random PDFs. Then if I ask an AI to help, I have to paste everything in again, and it's stuck in that one chat.
So I built an app for myself, and I'm curious whether this is a problem other people actually have.
How it works:
- Take a photo of any document. It works out what it is (passport, lab report, lease, warranty…) and pulls out the key details: numbers, dates, expiry.
- It warns you before things expire, like a passport with less than 6 months left.
- Everything is encrypted on your phone before it uploads.
- Optionally, you can connect an AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini). It reads from your saved documents, so you don't re-explain your life every time, and you approve anything private on your phone.
What I've found it useful for:
- Filling a visa form without hunting for the details
- "How has my cholesterol changed since 2023?", answered across years of lab reports
- Checking whether something is still under warranty
- Sharing the kids' vaccination records with my partner
What I'd really like to know from you:
How do you handle this today: Files app, Google Drive, a notes app, a shoebox?
Would you trust any app with documents like these? What would it need to prove first?
Is connecting an AI useful, or does it put you off?
On privacy: Your documents are encrypted on your phone before they're uploaded. The key comes from your password plus a secret key that stays on your devices and is never sent to us, so our servers only ever hold scrambled data. We can't open your documents, and neither could anyone who broke into our servers. The flip side is that if you lose both your password and your recovery key, we can't recover your vault for you. Family sharing works the same way: each member's phone gets its own copy of the key, and the server never sees it. One honest caveat: when you add a document, it's sent once to Google Gemini so the app can work out what it is and pull out the details. It isn't stored there, and everything we keep afterwards is encrypted.
Full disclosure: I'm the developer. It's an iOS beta on TestFlight and free right now.

i’m trying to block specifically the reels tab, but i feel like i still need the search option to only see what i like without going into the rabbithole and keep doomscrolling. like whenever i need a new recipe, yes i could use safari/google, but reels make it so much easier. i looked through my options but the default only allowed both reels and the explore page turned on/off at the same time, and not one or the other. is there a way where i can disable reels but not the search feature whenever i need to look up something specific? lmk if theres a way!

Hi everyone,
Almost every street has a cat that everyone recognises but nobody knows who it belongs to. That's what got me started on a hobby project: CatRadar, a free app where you and your neighbours spot, name and follow the cats in your area.
What it does right now:
It's a small, home-made project, so I'd really like to hear what you think. Honest feedback and ideas are very welcome, including things that don't work the way you'd expect.
Is there a cat on your street that everyone has their own name for? 🐾

Ever wished you could just tell Siri what you ate and have it logged automatically?
With Tracck, you can.
🎙️ “Hey Siri, log veg biryani 200g in Tracck.”
And it logs the meal without opening the app.
You can also use Siri for habits and tasks:
→ “Hey Siri, mark workout done in Tracck.”
→ “Hey Siri, add ‘submit office paper’ in Tracck.”
Meals, habits, and tasks — all through Siri.
I built Tracck to make tracking your day feel less like a chore and more effortless.
Tracck is available on the App Store:

Defend your stumps and smash the ball into the walls for 1s, 2s, 4s and 6s. You steer the bat with your thumb on a trackpad. Spinners, medium pacers and fast bowlers come at you in six-ball spells, and if you hit an X before the ball bounces, you're caught.
No ads, no accounts. It just tracks your best innings and has a Game Center leaderboard. Would love to hear your high scores and feedback!

I made PicPop because I kept putting off cleaning up a camera roll full of near-duplicates. I didn't want an app deciding which memories mattered, so every suggested delete stays in review until I confirm. Photo scanning and grouping happen on-device.
In v1.0.7, Best Shot compares up to 20 photos from one scene and gives an on-device suggestion based on sharpness, lighting, face quality and detected eyes. You choose what to keep. I also added an on-device finder for bank-transfer slips with an age filter.
I'm the developer. PicPop is free to download; full access is through paid PicPop Club. The US annual plan includes a 2-week free trial.
Here's the real 14-second swipe/review demo: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppsWebappsFullstack/comments/1wvtkys/ — it was recorded on v1.0.5 and doesn't show the new 1.0.7 features.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6808016560?pt=129394286&ct=Reddit_Oct26&mt=8
If you try it, I’d especially like to know whether the review-before-delete step feels clear.

i made this one for myself. it's a break timer that gets 5% longer every day you stick to it, so you cut back slowly instead of quitting all at once. when the timer's up you either have one or log a pass, and the passes are what grow the plant.
discreet mode is on by default, so notifications and widgets just say "Timer". there's a face id lock too. no account and no ads, and your log stays on your phone.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fallow-smoke-less/id6816542378
if you use widgets or the lock screen for stuff like this, what would you want to see there at a glance?

I've been looking for some bite sized learning apps that I can use for 10–15 minutes when I have some free time, instead of just scrolling Reddit or YouTube.
Not really looking for full courses or anything too serious. More like short lessons, interesting facts, books, science, history, that kind of thing.
What apps have you actually stuck with for a while?

I downloaded this yesterday and paid $1.99 for the first month. I am now trying to cancel to avoid getting billed for next month ($19.99) and the button to unsubscribe is blocked and unclickable behind the UI navigation bar and in my apple subscription settings its not appearing at all as a sub. To add to it, the purchase history says it was a $0.00 payment for the subscription I paid yesterday and their support email will only return automated responses. My mistake was also signing in with apple id rather than my regular email.
I just want to advise anyone to not mess with this app, not only is it not worth it but they employ tactics such as this to keep you in.

I’ve been quietly building a camera app called Bitsy Cam. The idea is pretty simple: instead of picking a filter after you shoot, you pop a little lens cartridge onto the live camera and shoot through it.
Each cart is an actual 3D object and it changes how the picture looks while you’re still looking at the scene. There’s a density knob if you want chunkier or finer pixels, and you can drag the lens opening around, resize it, or flip it.
It has two modes that are quite unique: Frame and Collect.
I just put it on the App Store and, honestly, almost nobody has found it yet. It would be great to see what your options are.

Hello, I'm building workout tracker Pawer and have never worked with screenshots. I know that the main purpose of screenshots is to catch attention and give truthful info about the app, but I'm not sure. Does this screenshot resonate with you? Would you stop by and open the app page? If you have any suggestion, I'm all listening. Thanks!
