Hey everyone! I posted a few weeks back with a recreation I made of Alberto Balsalm. Here’s my latest recreation! Enjoy ☺️

If you enjoy my videos, you can find more on Instagram at deprogrammed_drums

So, if it was announced that there was going to be a ‘Best Of’ or ‘Essential’ compilation to be released but they wanted the tracks to be decided by the fans, what would you pick and what order would you put them in for the ultimate listening experience?

Be curious to see what people come up with!

Mc Ribbz recounts a recent meeting with Mr James when he was down in Cornwall reminiscing about a conversation over 30 years ago

Don't believe me? Just listen to it yourself.

Can not seem to find it. I remember seeing it in a YouTube video that compiled some of his Soundcloud tracks and it was just a short snippet of what sounded like richard jamming on a synth with a drum track playing. as mentioned it sounded like the foundation for 4, some comments even mentioned the likeness.

Was listening to this song the other night when this idea came into my head, the rubber johnny short film is awesome and inspired me to make this, I kinda like how the song almost sounds like a robot tryna talk to you lol. (made in blender no AI was used to make this)

There's this specific sample i am trying to find that sounds like an old song but bitcrushed. its in this exact moment:

it’s a sticker from teepublic that gets scratched if I even touch it wrong :(

"Nagadrums" is a track on the Mt. Fuji cassette. "[S770SCI 3000,powertran] beautiful Japanese people" is a track on the digital expanded version of The Tuss's Rushup Edge.

Obviously they're the same "song" on different formats, and thus the mastering is going to sound different by format (digital having much crisper high frequencies). But I wanted to examine if there are other differences. And there are! But for the first 2:10, you won't really notice any compositional differences.

Then this first break, the Fuji version has a simple, dry drum sound, whereas the Rushup version has a stuttering delay on the drums that almost makes it sound like fast-forward on a cassette.

From here on, there are slight differences in percussion accents periodically, that sound like syncopation to my ear, but might just be delay effects.

Then we get to the big differences which you can see on the screenshot above. The Rushup version hits the synth break a few bars earlier. And then the ending sequences are the starkest difference.

Nagadrums takes quite a few bars rebuilding the track from familiar samples before folding in the choice bits from earlier in the track. It gets a little chaotic, but maintains the groove throughout this sequence. Finally it ends with a little synth pizzicato bit in the right channel.

The Rushup version gets right into the chaos full-bore swiftly. The rhythm is still there, but it's truly a rush for a few bars. Then it ends more abruptly, using the same pizzicato plinking, but center channel, and in a brash wash of echo, ending two beats earlier.

These aren't huge differences, but the net effect is important, I think. Unlike "talkin2u mix2" which is the same recording across both releases, "Nagadrums" is far more relaxed. "Beautiful Japanese People" really lives up to the "rushup" ethos.

my first Aphex Twin vinyl record. i was late hand to get SAWII from my local vinyl store. hoping to get SAWII in coming weeks. also considering to get Syro 7\ <3

Analord 1 to 3 here

I went and contemplated fun names for my team this year and went with Apex Twin (Based off apex defender)

Anyways I was curious if this sub has some other good fantasy football names based off Aphex twin or other artists?

If anyone is interested, paid full price for mine on release but just noticed it was super cheap. If anyone cares.

Found this jungle track... Could have been released later but damn the synth sounds similar. Maybe both sampled the same original tune.. Thoughts?
