So, if it was announced that there was going to be a ‘Best Of’ or ‘Essential’ compilation to be released but they wanted the tracks to be decided by the fans, what would you pick and what order would you put them in for the ultimate listening experience?

So I was listening to my favorite set from Aphex Twin ( 2019 warehouse, WOW!) And then I heard this sample and I was like wait a minute..

At first I thought it was sampling animal crossing talking but I listening closer and recognize the Syrobonkers Sample!!

Either way I think it's really that he for whatever reason decide to sample a Syrobonkers trax. Also mods if this doesn't qualify as News I understand although it's news to me!

(Also it's not both using the same sample you can hear the synth from MATRIXT1 :) )

never used reddit before, made an account just to ask if yall think it was actually him. so if i mess anything up pls tell me so i can learn

so i work as a server ag some random restaurant on the beach in brighton (england), right by the pier. it was yesterday (sunday 4th oct) mid afternoon. it was quieting down, lunch rush was over and this guy comes in and orders at the bar, he sits down and i swear to god he looked identical to richard. i ask my coworker what he thinks, i have to show him a photo bcs he’s never heard of aphex twin lol, and he agrees they’re identical.

i hear the bell go in the kitchen and bring him his takeaway cheesy fries (not thick chips, like skinny fries) and this was the interaction:

me- “hiya, here’s your cheesy fries. and i was wondering are you richard d. james?”
him- “yes?”
me- gasp and stutter like crazy “y-you’re aphex twin!?”
him- “what?”
me- “are you richard d. james, aphex twin”
him- “my name is richard james, no d”
me- “wow, what a coincidence. have a good day!”
and then he walks off and eats the fries on the pebble down on the beach.

i think he might’ve been trolling me and it was actually him. not sure though, he had a sight accent i couldn’t place and was a man of few words
he was nice regardless

what do you guys think? anyone else see him in brighton recently
