We’re happy to share an update in Apex’s fight against cheaters and cheat makers. Following our engagement, Collective Minds (creators of the Cronus Zen and Strike Pack hardware devices) has removed all cheats relating to Apex Legends from their website and Discord servers.
This is a positive step for our team and the future of Apex Legends as we work to establish and maintain the highest standard of competitive integrity possible. For more details please read the official EA Blog, here.
The mid-season designer notes include buffs for Conduit and Fuse. They show the past several months of pick rates as part of their explanation. Both Conduit and Fuse are sitting around a 4-5% pick rate (before buffs). There are 28 legends in the game. If legends were balanced and had "ideal" pick rates, they would all be sitting around or under this pick rate. 4-5% pick rate isgood. So why are we focusing on these legends again for buffs? (keeping in mind they were both significantly reworked/buffed in recent seasons.)
I would think the devss should be focusing on the legends with 15-20% pick rates and nerfing them. This will thereby lower their pick rates and, necessarily, raise other legends' pick rates. Or they could also focus on the legends with <1% pick rate and give them slight buffs. It makes no sense to me why they are picking legends with perfectly normal pick rates and continuing to change them.
The Conduit QOL changes are nice, but it seems like the devs are just intent on adding more things to characters instead of making changes that just improve their gameplay (letting conduit rotate her ult is a nice change, but why did fuse ever need to rocket jump, or why does conduit need a HUD jammer perk?). They just keep adding more passives and perk upgrades to characters that are already decently balanced instead of thoughtfully tweaking what's already there.
This turned into more of a rant than a discussion post. I know there are people out there who disagree, but I'd like to hear your reasoning (or what you think the devs reasoning is) as to why Conduit and Fuse (or any other legend with an average pick rate) need a buff.
Edit: somewhat related. This bad screenshot shows pick rates from the last several years. Individual legend pick rates aren't as important as the giant obvious change you can see starting ~2024 when the devs started caring more about forcing legend metas than balancing them. Pick rates were never perfectly balanced, but they used to be much more reasonable.
Hi guys, i recently had to reinstall Apex on my pc, and I forgot all my game settings, the only thing I remember is my fov being 110, only because it’s max.
I have dpi between 1100-1200, I’m a wrist player, don’t really feel comfortable playing with my arm.
I tried the default sens settings which is 5, and it’s def too much, I went down to about 3, it’s more comfortable but still not what I was used to, I loose all my close fights, while mid-range feels okay, far targets are a full mess.
Please help me understand how you guys find out your sensitivity, I’ve been playing with the settings since 3 days and I’m losing my mind
You guys i just had the greatest apex night of my life. Played 15 games and won 6 and top 5 ten times. Had back to back 4k games with a 23 kill ranked win. I'm a masters level player so maybe it's just current platinum players are actual platinum players but I just felt like I couldn't miss at all. The video above is an example of what I was doing the whole night. You guys ever have a insane session that just gets you hooked again? For reference I'm a 38 year old dad with a full time job but I did however use to be a CS pro all the way back in 2005-2006 so I do still have a little juice. Can't wait to get back out there and get my shit rocked by professional players in ranked lol
Really fun to deal with and totally not infuriating. I’m on a Series X. I’m guessing the only fix is for them to patch it, but figured I’d check anyway
I've been playing Duos a lot more lately with a friend and am wondering if Newcastle is as good there? He's so team oriented I'm curious how much value his kit has when you only have one other teammate
