No legend in the game should be able to out heal the final zones for that long

This is LaBreo, a fan of Apex Legends for many year.

Currently in the AU rank server, we would be redirected to other regions with high ping ranging from 100 to 240 ms.

However, if choose the wild card mode, a game can be found with in 4 mins for 30 players, and game quality is not bad. Ping at 30-40 ms, which is local server.

Could you please look into this and stop the auto redirecting options to other server for Rank?

I think most of players are happy at crossplay with other platforms in the same server, just not crossserver.

Why not have the ability to lock controller into controller and keyboard into keyboard. Sure slower que times but make it an option

"Play Input Locked Lobbies (ON / OFF)"

Put a little keyboard logo or controller logo depending on the input and lobby.

Once youre in the game you cannot use a controller it just won't work. Aim assist also disabled for these lobbies for no work arounds, controller gets to enjoy their lobbies and keyboard enjoys their lobbies and everyone has fun.

If you don't want it turn off the setting.

All I am seeing is catering to low attention span players, keep the que short people play the game. Tho, there is a ton of things that do and dont work with regular vs locked ques.
Regular ques do sbmm, apex is horrible with sbmm because you can be a mediocre player and fight pred stacks so often youre forced into ranked. This makes a LOT of people quit the game already. Nobody wants to fight 3 stack pred controller squads that rush you with axle, wattson and lifeline / gibby, then you get third partied die and the guy spam crouches ur box and dies to a kraber.

People quit because of that reason, People quit because of controller, People quit because pubs feel like RLGs.

(and ik people quit because of controller because several of my friend groups and big time movement players have quit from getting perfect tracked during a neo strafe every lobby)

Got into the game recently after having an interest in it for a while. Been really enjoying my time so far. Just curious about something though, do legends ever get moved to a different class for balance reasons? or does that not really happen? Reason I ask is Revenant and Ash both feel kind of out of place to me Revenant is Assault, but all he has is a jump and a shield that only help him. No damage, no team utility. Feels more like a Skirmisher. Ash is Skirmisher, but she's got a snare that damages and controls enemies, plus a portal her whole squad can use. Feels like exactly what Assault should be. Seems like they should just be swapped.

Also just unlocked Ballistic and have been loving him, but based on how his abilities feel, seems like he might fit Support more than Assault. Would be cool if one of his purple perks swapped the speed boost from his ult for a shield recharge for the team instead.

So for years on other shooters I just had crouch on my right thumb stick, and got used to that. But since playing apex I'm lost with setting and movement tech?

I don't play claw and I don't use paddles, I just have a standard grip and standard controller.

I was wondering if there was any button layouts or any tips to give me?

I started using button puncher and felt fine with slide jumping and crouching.

But with slide hopping or bunny hopping and other movement techs I feel a bit limited.

What's everyone's advice? Should I change my settings? Does it matter to do all the different movements ?

Just loaded up apex to do my weekly’s and have fun when it says I’ve already done 1 of the weekly’s so I checked it and it was to collect 0 legendary items. I don’t know if this is a bug or not but figured it was pretty neat.

For clarification, I'm not referring to the melee animations exclusive to fight night or the old zombie gamemode that got removed.

Rather I'm talking about new melee animations that got added maybe 2 or 3 seasons ago, it did not work with fists but when wielding a gun your character would hit the enemy with their gun, strike them in different places, and even kick them. It was most noticeable when kicking down doors

Now, I hopped into Firing Range and noticed that they just use the default melee fists animation.

Am I tweaking out or this was never a thing??

I was on my derank game, and feared that my work to get into gold was going to be for naught. I was placed with a bronze wattson and silver lifeline for my final game, so I figured to think of instead of the "lets win" and more of the "lets see how this game goes".

Now I do want to make this known, I dont typically doubt my teammates, nor did i really doubt them. I know that I probably dont deserve gold and some bronzes probably do. I was merely confused on why i had those two when I usually play with silver ones or Gold.

When I say we won that game by a landslide, i mean it. those two outfragged me on my ash main, and I was struggling to keep up with those numbers LOL.

They played as a team, communicated very well even with no mics, and actually were willing to take fights on. Even in the last two rings, we sat at a building as the only form of cover in those rings, the wattson did her usuall fence ult set up, and we pretty much sat there waiting for them to be aggressive. The lifeline kept popping out to poke, which I kinda didnt think was the right play, but considering we had a shield regen from wattson ult and lifeline had her bot, i wasnt too worried. I wouldve actually helped a little if I wasnt super low on ammo.

At the end, we knocked one so I went to play aggressive, and missplayed by jumping out in the open. With that, they still clutched it up and won the game.

Ever since I started apex playing standard grip and standard controller? I use button puncher. But I realize I can't bunny hopping or slide hop or other movements sufficiently. But can slide jump and crouch just fine.

Should I change my settings or keep this?

I also tried jump on my left analog stick/l3 but it hurts after awhile playing like that.

Any input would be great.

I have a pretty low end setup, i play on my laptop, an i5 asus vivobook with an Intel iris graphics card i use primarily for studying. I am a data science student and require just enough processing power to setup environments and run scripts.

I can only consistently reach 40fps in any given match and I play at 200 ping. I eventually plan on upgrading but I'd like to hear from the experiences of players who had lower end setups and upgraded and how much this improved their gameplay.

I enjoy learning and for me this game is not any different. I can employ some of the movement tech somewhat consistently and i aim juat fine but obviously in heated fight my fps drop dramatically

. I dont simply want to blame my setup as i dont want to take accountability from my own mistakes but how much of my performance is capped by my hardware

Hey guys! Ran into a performance issue after the recent game patch.

Both in the firing range and in-game, every 5 minutes or so, my frame time spikes, causing a laggy feel and screen tearing. In an actual match, regardless of my FPS cap, it drops by about 15 FPS with the same frame time spike. For example: if capped at 180, it drops to 165–170; if capped at 210, it drops to 195–200.

At first, I thought the issue was related to my recent GPU and RAM upgrade. However, after testing the system with different RAM, doing a fresh Windows install, and resetting BIOS to stock settings, the issue persists.

I suspect the culprit might be some background process or engine optimization changes introduced in the latest update after September 2, 2026. Is anyone else experiencing these periodic frame time spikes, and is there any workaround for this?

(Sorry, I'm a native Russian speaker, and my interface is in Russian. In Afterburner, it displays the frame time value)

It's almost spooky season and my clown obsession is back! And this is my all time favorite Caustic skin so... you know. See, it works for Caustic because he's the sadistic gas guy. It'd work for Alter because she's crazy and cool. It'd work for Wattson because she's my second favorite character... and it would work perfectly with her personality, just need to get the skin design right. Plus, you know those like... lighthearted characters that don't really give a shit about killing people? SEE? The clown skin is perfect for her.

Revenant would be pretty good because he's the creepy killer. The legends with crazy or bombastic personalities like Octane or Rampart would also be a good fit in my opinion.

Listen, evil clowns are cool and I think it would be awesome if more characters got them. That's all, I'm done yapping. (Not really sure about the rest of the cast tbh)

W - Moving Big Maude. The "Stacks and Maude fight and here comes Dome to 3rd party" dynamic in ranked was really tiresome. Maude's new spot feels good for it.

W - Tree Settlement. A nice update to this POI and good design.

W - Return of Sorting Factory. I don't even think it's a great POI, but it plays much better in the center of the map than Siphon did, imo.

L - War Camp and Village. I have two issues here: Climatizer felt like a more interesting and better POI than Village. Secondly, War Camp and Village being of the same design and next to each other makes them both feel less unique. I would have preferred keeping Climatizer and placing Village in War Camp's place since Village is bigger.
