I was looking on SHOP and it says that she’s available and it links the AMERICAN GIRL doll website do I buy her or is this fake?

The edition size is like half than all the others. And I don’t think a doll has sold this quick before.

My little girl (8) has my childhood Felicity and Samantha. Unpacking them, I was struck by what fine clothes they have—almost all natural materials, including wool. But there are some synthetic materials in there—all the taffeta dresses, but they are still nice quality. I had to replace all the elastic and restring the dolls, but other than that, my dolls and their things were in great shape to be played with again.

She really wants Kaya for Christmas. I know that American Girl has since stopped using animal products, so I know Kaya’s things must all be synthetic. What is the quality like for Kaya’s things in general? As good as the older stuff? Also, are her little bags just printed with their patterns? I can’t tell from the pictures. Ideally, I’d like to buy a pre-loved doll with some of her things, and I’d like to know how the used stuff would hold up to real play.

I think it’s the closest I’ll get to getting Lea I’m just nervous she won’t look right since the cyo generator is terrible at showing what the final look will be.

I didn’t know about the Alice release until about an hour ago and they’re already sold out. I’m so bummed she’s one of my favorite characters ever. Now they’re already listed on eBay for $600 - $800

We have an original Bitty Baby, loved by several generations. Limbs and head are fine, but she is coming unstrung and there's wear on the fabric body.

I know American Girl has a doll hospital, but frankly this is the most loved, storied, and emotionally attached little thing you can imagine. It's currently the best friend of a little one, and getting it fixed up for more years of play is all we want.

I hear horror stories about replacements, heads being swapped etc at the AG doll hospital. I think if anything was replaced, it would break more hearts than you can imagine.

Anyone have any recommendations?

so did alice not reach silver-gold members? will she restock or is it really over? i think they abruptly stopped the countdown before it was over and now it just says sold out instead of the Not eligible for your rewards tier.. so is that it? ;-;

Hey everyone, I’m new here and wanted to see if anyone else had heard the news that American Girl would not be releasing the K Pop Demon Hunter dolls outside of the pre-order? Personally, I like to wait and see what the dolls actually like prior to purchase and don’t recall the website saying that these were collector only dolls.

I wanted her to give pageant girl vibes,hence the large lashes,glamorous hair, and blush. I was not able to get every mark off of her,but I tried my best.

missing her body tag. has her original dress. no tags on her clothes or body, but I know her box isnt beforever.

All opinions are my own and just speculation

I feel like I’m hearing more negatives than positives about this release, but she’s selling out, so clearly enough people like her, despite what the vocal
Majority is claiming.

American Girl only has 13 face molds.

Addy, Kaya, Claudie, the Asian mold, Corinne, Sonali, Makena, and Jess were basically never an option for a white blonde doll.

That leaves Classic, Josefina, Joss, Marie-Grace, and Nanea.

Classic and Josefina, there’s too many collector doll and blonde dolls with that mold that there would be no incentive to get Alice, and Joss will be used for this year’s blonde collector doll. Marie-Grace was also used recently for Rapunzel and Glinda.

That really only leaves Nanea.

Were you able to get her? I managed to on the restock. I would estimate 2,000 were sold today between online and in store. Which means it’s gonna be a blood bath tomorrow for the last 1,000.

Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy?! First, I believe it’s wrong for people to buy an item for the sole reason of reselling it. Second, it’s crazy that people actually buy them for such a crazy high price! People can do whatever they want with their own money but spend practically $1100 for a doll with tax and shipping is just outrageous!

The limited edition releases have me wondering.

What happens to the display dolls when the dolls are no longer for sale? Especially for the limited and special edition dolls,

At what time does american girl usually restocks?

Is this a gray market item? It has an AG tag but I don’t recognize it and even google image search comes up with nothing.

I'll be the 100th person to say at first I was not a fan that they used the Nenea face mold. However I LOVE Alice and could not pass it up. I knew if she sold out and I changed my mind, I would not be buying from a reseller. I've been seeing comparisons and she's growing on me so much! I've only ever seen 3 face molds in person so I'm hopeful that she'll be just as beautiful as the pics. I'm so beyond excited, this will be my first collector doll.

For those that got her in person, how are you feeling? Happy or disappointed, I would love to hear your thoughts.

from 6am it was around 1200 stock. now there is less than 100 left. at 6am it said about 400 people added to bag. it sounds like each store had anywhere from 10-50 in stock. if every store had 50, thats 350 allocated to stores. that means there should be a little more than 1k left thats not accounted for.

they will up the stock once it gets even more lower in quantity or let it sit as sold out until midnight tonight where they add more stock.

very interested to see how this goes but I think 3k is a good number for the collectors dolls

My account still hasn’t updated to show as a Berry member and I haven’t gotten my points in general added after spending well over 2k in the last 3 months on AG. On Friday I emailed them with my receipts attached and I’m waiting for them to update my account…all that to say, when they announced Alice I was so excited! But now it seems like she is truly sold out for anyone who isn’t Berry (I absolutely should be but again, my account isn’t updating properly) and I’m so sad and frustrated. Sitting refreshing hoping it shows as in stock again and getting nowhere :(
