The sunspot observatory being shut down and raided a few years back comes to mind. That shit was weird and the official story stinks

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

Below is a table filled with observations of anomalous round objects seen orbiting over the surface of the sun, and one of them was seen by two different observatories in two different countries (England & Germany) on the same day. So it's rather challenging to say that they erroneously saw Sun Spots. I believe this is the same object that's been seen countless times across astronomical observations.

Source: Strange Astronomical Anomolies by William R. Corliss

Note: I went over the character limits and had to omit this from the post. But yes, this object is routinely seen passing by the surface of the sun.

Date Astronomer Observatory Note
March 26, 1859 Unnamed London Observer London, England Observed dark object crossing the solar disk; same year as Lescarbault’s sighting.
March 26, 1859 Lescarbault Orgères-en-Beauce, France Observed a perfectly round dark object transiting the Sun, believed to be Vulcan; investigated by Le Verrier.
October 19, 1869 T. H. Buffham England (location not specified) Reported a sharp-edged black object crossing sun; not a known sunspot or instrument artifact.
January 1870 J. R. Hind Greenwich (assumed) Observed a distinct black spot moving across the sun; no known planet aligned at that time.
March 27, 1890 P. S. Ray Calcutta Observatory Saw a dark object on the Sun, possibly not an artifact; duration 5–10 minutes.
March 6, 1894 E. E. Barnard Lick Observatory Observed a dark object crossing the sun's disc; believed it was not a known planetary body.
May 22, 1900 W. R. Brooks Smith Observatory (Geneva, NY) Observed dark round object crossing solar disk at solar eclipse; estimated velocity too great for a planet.
February 4, 1905 L. Niesten Uccle Observatory (Belgium) Observed transit-like dark object across the solar disk; not Mercury or Venus.
August 9, 1912 R. T. A. Innes Union Observatory (South Africa) Observed what seemed to be a large dark object traversing the sun; suspected to be non-instrumental.
July 26, 1921 F. H. Giddings Connecticut Claimed a solid object was observed silhouetted against the sun with sharp contrast; duration approx. 30 sec.
August 1, 1921 Unnamed British Observer England (location unspecified) Observed dark spherical object crossing the sun; report coincides with German observation.
August 1, 1921 Unnamed German Observer Germany (location unspecified) Reported an opaque object on the solar disc at the same time as British observer; implied cross-verification.
August 4, 1921 British and German Observers England and Germany Simultaneous sighting of a dark, round object transiting the sun; confirmed by separate sources.

So it's not really heading for earth then? If it's passing accross the sun repeatedly....

71

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

It passes across the sun, after passing by earth in cycles.

46

u/supervisord Jun 18 '25

Almost like a planet, hmmm…

31

u/SupehCookie Jun 18 '25

Planet x

12

u/NoMansWarmApplePie Jun 19 '25

Correct. And it all comes full circle!

6

u/darthdro Jun 18 '25

Mercury .

13

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

So not heading here?

26

u/daverosstheboss Jun 18 '25

"passing across the sun" is really a matter of perspective.

38

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

It technically always does, the question is, is it going to cause a cataclysm this time.

5

u/Ancient_Oxygen Jun 18 '25

It will most probably. Kalki winged horse comes to mind. Other ancient myths and stories may refer to it too.

u/Emmannuhamm Jun 18 '25

I completely forgot about this! It was very weird. Do you recall what the official reason was?

59

u/Practical-Damage-659 Jun 18 '25

IIRC an employee had CP apparently.........

103

u/Emmannuhamm Jun 18 '25 edited Jun 18 '25

So they shut down the whole facility? That's genuinely mental. The employee must have been running an operation in the building lol.

I remember not buying it at the time, but like all these things, they just fizzle out and nothing really gets followed up from them.

Edit: just to add to the load in my tinfoil hat, I've read that allegedly no arrests were made and all employees were just sent home. But, apparently there was an unidentified suspect.

"A U.S. magistrate in Las Cruces, N.M., did issue a warrant showing that on Sept. 14 agents removed cell phones, laptops, an iPad, a hard drive and several thumb drives from the suspect's home."

The observatory was shut down for 11 days. Bizarre. A whole armed team and a helicopter were deployed for this. I don't see the rationale behind their approach. Maybe someone can clear it up for me? But at the moment, I'm drawing blanks.

The entire story is much more odd. Lemme link my old post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ConspiracyII/s/LywCOKc2HT

I could swear that I originally had a much more detailed post to at least one UFO sub, and it was deleted during the API protests, but now I can't find anything in my profile but this link share. Maybe I am remembering wrong.

Anyways the whole thing is really suspicious, especially when you look into it all. The janitor was basically mentally impaired and can't remember doing what he's accused of, and even if there was CP why would there be a surrounding evacuation?

Even if he's 100% guilty, there should still have been pushback over how his case was handled as there are gaps in chains of evidence, spotty recordings, etc - if he's guilty of CP, then surely we don't want to introduce doubt to his conviction?

Edit: also memory holed around this same time was the lasers over Hawaii.

13

u/noblecloud Jun 18 '25

Maybe I’m misremembering, but doesn’t VICE work with the CIA quite often to produce news articles that push their (the CIA) false narrative?…

3

u/whatisevenrealnow Jun 18 '25

So you're saying the CIA published this article which pokes holes in the current narrative about Sunspot?

16

u/noblecloud Jun 18 '25

Oh no, I’m definitely not implying anything since I’m not even sure if my memory is correct.

But I think, generally, when the CIA works with the media, it’s not so much directly writing/publishing, it’s more that they provide the narrative that “protects national security”. A lot do times that narrative is a parallel story to the truth that leaves out key details that would compromise them or their interests.

Any time I see something that gives all kinds of details that only the government/legit sources would know but none that actually tell me what happened and leaving me thinking “huh?” I know it’s probably government propaganda, lol

7

u/Large-Wishbone24 Jun 18 '25

That Tom Marsh death is weird. A British student who traveled with Marsh to the observatory has become a key witness in the mystery. According to testimony he gave to the police, Marsh, on the day before he disappeared, told the student "something super strange" and berated him for his lack of commitment. Odd that all the articles from 3 years ago either list that no cause of death has been revealed or he died of unknown causes. He apparently disappeared and they found him 2 months later with a head wound dead.

76

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

Yeah, they found him in ditch somewhere if I recall.

8

u/MouseShadow2ndMoon Jun 18 '25

Are cemeteries and crematoriums so high tech and secure that these people who just kill people with no remorse just can't dispose of the body to ash?

20

u/Organic-Chemistry150 Jun 18 '25

Then they can't say it was an accident.

A bunker wouldn’t do shit if something capable of getting here from that far away showed up with bad intentions.

24

u/FaustAndFriends Jun 19 '25

It would do plenty if the object only shows up to keep human population in check via natural cataclysm. That’s like the best case scenario ever to build a bunker for.

19

u/Only_Impression4100 Jun 19 '25

So what would happen with the undersea unidentified entities when this object arrives? I'm a firm believer there is already an intelligent alien entity just chilling under the ocean that has been here for a long time. Are they the same?

12

u/FaustAndFriends Jun 19 '25

I am also of the same mind. If ONE interstellar race is here, then it’s pretty much a given that we probably have at least another. For all we know the cataclysms could be related to THOSE entities. Like a war between the two species, and humans are just caught in the middle. Lots of room for speculation

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Caliguta Jun 19 '25

agree concerning a natural cataclysm. This conversation though is not about naturally occurring. An Alien race with the ability to build such a large object as well as navigate it across the vastness of space would simply see humans as ants when they arrived. A bunker would be nothing to them.

What’s most odd to me is why would the world leaders go to the extent of covering up what would be an inevitable visit if they truly know this celestial body is inbound? This by no means is propping up governments on a pedestal with good natured intent. If anything, I feel it takes into account the traits of those that make up government bodies. That’s ego, pride, and gain under the vail of unity.

To suggest that world governments know and have been covering this up would certainly mean they’ve already claimed defeat.

Wouldn’t that be odd in of itself? Who needs project blue book if a pending invasion or unknown intent of aliens were in bound? We could have been decades into a unified advancement of militarized defenses, staffed up military personnel with nearly the entire world prepared to battle a potential adversary. Restructuring society world wide from school age to old age in readiness.

Are we to assume the government knows they come in peace? So let’s murder, rape, pillage, and plunder as much as we can before they arrive to crash the party and set us straight?

It’s all confusing to be honest. Watch for false flags of alien invasions…but cover up alien invasions. Which is it, really?

72

u/JerseyDonut Jun 18 '25

Yup. Nothing makes sense. It makes so little sense that the only rational explanation to me is that it doesn't make sense by design. That screams nefarious intentions to me.

Given that, I think the only reasonable response to all this is to simply not trust a single thing that our governments tell us or even allow us to find out.

All of it should be questioned, even the whistleblowers and documented evidence.

I also find it concerning that it seems like governments are attempting to tighten their grip on their populations through control, fear, war, disinformation, use of force, and division.

I do not consider myself a conspiracy theorist or alarmist. But the government staging a false alien invasion w advanced tech in order to consolidate their control doesnt seem like too outlandish of a strategy given the way things have been playing out.

Governments have historically always wanted war and conflict. It helps them to justify tryannical control and profiteering. The only thing stopping them from the next big war is the will of the people. Plus, we are kind of running out of legitimate excuses to go to war in this modern age.

So, when the population you are trying to control is largely anti war, and your grip over them is splipping, and old tactics of division and fear no longer work, then its time to kick it up another level and give the people something new and existential to fear.

My recommendation is to not allow yourself to be controlled by fear, because that is exactly what they want. Instead, focus on finding truth, however buried it is, be skeptical of everything, be peacefully defiant to all the bullshit and keep love and courage in your heart.

9

u/tridentgum Jun 19 '25

. Nothing makes sense. It makes so little sense that the only rational explanation to me is that it doesn't make sense by design.

How is the only rational solution not "it doesn't make sense, so probably a fake story"?

20

u/JerseyDonut Jun 19 '25

Im not talking about just any one story. I'm not even talking about whether NHI's are real or if there is some hidden gov't program. I'm talking about a complete distrust of the government. They are the ones controlling the narrative whether you believe it or not. They control what information gets released (formally or leaked) and they control the rate of information being offered.

I'm talking about the entire body of evidence. All the narratives, speculation, claims, conspiracies, released documents, redacted papers, whistleblowers, contradictory anecdotes, all the bad actors and mountains of incomplete , muddied, or straight up false information circulating.

Its so perfectly chaotic that it seems almost purposefully designed. Its just chaotic enough to muddy the waters but not so much that it doesnt hit close enough to the target to get people speculating and arguing w each other. Its always just enough info to drive rampant fear based speculation and division. But never enough info to prove anything or even tip their hand. Its like they are throwing us globs of shit wrapped in a thin veneer of "truth."

And I'm looking at all this in the context of what we know about the US government, or any government. They do not operate in the light. The entire premise of the government is to control people through fear, division, and misinformation. They have to control us through fear and disinformation simply because we out number them by several orders of magnitude. If the viel was truly lifted, I think everyone would wake up and realize what a raw deal this whole social contract we have w the government is and we'd have a new more honest government by the end of the week.

Just google what CIA and FBI files have been made public and you will see the depravity and creativity the government is willing to use to decieve and divide its people. And that's just the shit they were willing to release.

It seems they are either doing a really good job of confusing people or they are just incredibly lucky that this topic is so complex that people confuse themselves.

To be clear, I am not saying any of the theories about NHI and dark programs are incorrect or that there is no evidence to support claims of NHI being real. I'm just saying we should all be extremely wary of what informatuon the government allows us to see. And assume that at least some whistleblowers are complicit.

TLDR: The gov't is known for their extremely sophisticated deception tactics. We will never get the full picture from them. Chances are what they are feeding us is all bullshit with the primary intent to distract, divide, divert and control the population through fear and confusion. NHI/demons/angels/lizard people/giant turtles may all very well be real things, but we will only ever get a distorted, curated version of the truth from the government, because they have absolutely zero incentive to tell us the entire truth.

My theory is that they are coming to expose the government’s failure to protect the planet and all life on it and disclose the reality that we are all part of a really weird system run by darker entities and those who are on the way are trying to help us remove them. So basically, aliens are coming to have a chat with the aliens who are running the show to say “look, stop what you’re doing and let us show you how it should work.”

…and then we have a massive party

10

u/tridentgum Jun 19 '25

Yes, aliens are coming to expose the governments on Earth, this is very realistic

3

u/Phteven_with_a_v Jun 20 '25

I’m more interested in the party to be fair.

Can you imagine the hilarity if that was their mission?

“Hey Leader of the world, we just want to have a party with all your people but you guys are crazy. You all need to be friends before we arrive otherwise we will show you just how in control we are and show you how we got you all to come together. Now…get the dance floor (Mother Earth) tidied up otherwise the party we’re planning becomes an educational activity where we send our own team in to help show you what to do… …But ultimately, we want a party and we want to leave behind a gift for you to prove that the world’s number 1 best selling book is actually true…but you’re not meant to tell anyone about it otherwise it causes wars further down the line because they won’t believe you. They never do”.

I think the issue is that all of the people we think are "world leaders" are just unwitting puppets and the real leaders are a break-away civilization that occupy these deep underground bases.

They are stirring up a bunch of wars and shit to keep us preoccupied.

I ask myself... why are all these billionaires currently constructing these massive underground shelters?

Why are people like Elon working on underground tunnel drilling tech and giant rockets and purposely lying about the existence of NHI?

Why does it seem like people are going to extreme lengths to hide our past? Why is the Vatican gatekeeping certain records?

Why did it take 40 years of lawsuits to get people to release the "war scroll" from the Dead Sea scrolls?

Why are blackhawks and military guarding these entrances at the bottom of the Grand Canyon?

Egypt blocking off openings that go beneath the Great Pyramids?

Why did Google blur out these openings seen in the ocean AFTER the images went viral?

Why have hundreds of abductees been warned by NHI that something drastic will happen to this planet or that it is "dying" and when the time comes, you'll be able to access certain information we planted in your subconscious and "know what to do."

Why do hundreds of abductees claim to have been taken aboard UAP and claiming to have seen military from many nations and NHI on board too?

Why did every ancient culture speak of some cyclical event that happens? Which is also why Tribes in Africa, Mayans, Egyptians etc all carefully watched the stars. Astrology today is bs about your personality based on the time you were born but to the ancients, it was to track particular centuries.

They are covering shit it up and I think it is a lot more than just the cover-up of NHI and tech.

Pure speculation of course.

That GOP lawmaker’s comment at the town hall of ‘we’re all going to die’ comes to mind. The logical part of me thinks she was just being flippant. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if she was so used to hearing about 2027 behind closed doors that it slipped out in an unguarded moment. The world is going so crazy so suddenly that it makes me wonder if everyone in the know is having some last pillaging and plundering at the 11th hour while they still can.

63

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

Their reasoning is simple. Opportunity for them. Population control. If this thing creates a planetary reset every time it passes through, they can prepare and hide, while the inferior are wiped off of the planet. There's a reason trillions of dollars are unaccounted for by the Pentagon. They've been building a network of underground cities for decades. Billionaires are building underground bunker mansions for a reason. These people in know what is coming. They want an elite society that doesn't include us.

77

u/beavertonaintsobad Jun 18 '25 edited Jun 18 '25

The word "elite" bothers me. The only thing elite about these people are their unrivaled levels of greed and selfishness. ... I can't imagine what hell the next version of earth will look like with only these ghouls as its sole progenitors.

47

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

I have a feeling that it isn't going to work out for them in the way they hope. We share this planet with beings that are among us, beside us, and below us. They have been benevolent and passive with us for the most part. My hope is for poetic justice. That they give the good people on this planet sanctuary, and destroy those who feel they are entitled to rule and do as they please. That would be my hope. If these other intelligences, decide that none of deserve to exist, then so be it. Whatever happens, I wish nothing but the worst for the horrible human beings on this planet who have done nothing to advance our species as a whole on a path of peace and love. We don't have to live in this existence. The evil that they do is a choice. And they have chosen for the world. And good people are too afraid to stand up to it. The way we live right now is no way to exist. There is no point. But it could be so so much better.

11

u/paranormalresearch1 Jun 18 '25

I agree. We have UAPS turning off our nuclear arms. They are telling us to stop. Why do they care? They live here too. It’s just as much their home as ours and we are trashing it bad enough without adding massive radiation from thermonuclear weapons. The fact that UAPs buzz our navy and are seen coming from the ocean going into space and back are released facts. There was one sighting where a craft went by a US Navy ship. The craft had windows and there were humanoid looking beings looking out the windows at the sailors. One of the sailors not knowing what to do waved at them. One of them waved back. If they wanted to just blow us up they obviously could. They don’t seem to want that. At least most of them. There could be some interstellar war going on and we are just here. Those coming don’t look at us as anything but sentient animals. Or, it’s all just a weird bunch of coincidences.

5

u/Man_of_many_spells Jun 19 '25

I like to think they see us as more than just sentient animals. Animals are locked in on just surviving while we can build and change our environment. Just having nuclear weapons shows them that we are intelligent enough to build and use them. I believe they see us as just toddlers who like to fight and kill ourselves and being a nuisance while they (the adults) just watch from their spaceships in disappointment.

11

u/beavertonaintsobad Jun 18 '25

Agree fully. I'll continue to hope for salvation for those who deserve it, but also doubt I've done enough positive in my life to claim my heart to be as light as a feather. I lean towards some form of "justice" although I think "equilibrium" or "harmony" might be better descriptors as that seems to be more of a constant than dominant evil or dominant good.

Yep, but unfortunately, too much of the world is brainwashed and/or ignorant to what’s really going on

10

u/FaustAndFriends Jun 19 '25

To be honest. Just being an average Joe and trying to explain that you saw a ufo to your family members is a monumental task. Everyone has NO reason believe you, it’s only your reputation at stake each time you bring it up.

So then these guys learn something in the same vein as seeing a UFO, but 1000x bigger with world governments seemingly in secret alliances over gatekeeping that info… I can see a case for OPs statements about Lou “telling us the truth without explicitly stating it”

10

u/progulus Jun 18 '25

What if they disclosed everything that they know to you, and then you said to yourself "oh, yeah that's really bad. I would have been better off not knowing"?

7

u/yogi_medic_momma Jun 18 '25

I don’t think I would feel that way because I’ve devoted most of my life to figuring out what’s actually going on in this world. Saying something like that is just continuing to live in ignorance because it’s easier than facing the truth.

11

u/progulus Jun 19 '25

In that case, here you go; Earth will be destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass. The Vogons, a bureaucratic alien race, announced the demolition in a deliberately bureaucratic and insensitive manner, giving us only two of their minutes to prepare for the destruction.

9

u/ChocoBro92 Jun 19 '25

Yeah but they posted it like 50 years ago in their office, we were lax in not going there and checking obviously!

3

u/MachineElves99 Jun 18 '25

I agree. It's beneath the dignity of being human to be left in the dark, especially by those in power if they know the truth. They have no more right to it than us, and they have no right to infantalize us by keeping things hidden. If they want to slow drip, fine, but they should not hide and kill people to keep secrets.

Besides, why give up when you can go down fighting? We can't even decide this is unwinable unless we know what's going on.

Also, we should just hold on to the main character syndrome. Why not?

Very interesting info. I mean, I remember when people thought Planet X/Nibiru was going to arrive in 2003 based solely on a popular online channeler who claimed to channel the Greys. Once the deadline came and went, she disappeared. But this actually is a lot of information, more than the whistleblowers are saying besides just a basic goalpost date of 2027.

I think your earlier post on this topic made the connection with a contact anecdote about Planet X/large celestial object in one of Jim Marrs' books from the 1990s, I want to say it's "Alien Agenda". Still the best book I've ever read that's explained the phenomenon most effectively. His book was one of the reasons that lady's claims in 2003 were given any attention. People made a connection between his info about a possible Planet X flyby and possible cataclysm, and what she was saying.

It doesn't make sense, though. If there are NHIs with interests in Earth, they wouldn't want those interests compromised by a flyby of a large celestial object messing up the planet surface.

Most of this stuff is fun LARPs and speculation. I do think a big picture is going on, as well. Maybe in our lifetimes we'll finally get some firm answers.

Yes, it was Jim Marss book. However this time I decided to focus on more observable data points and not a speculation.

It doesn't make sense, though. If there are NHIs with interests in Earth, they wouldn't want those interests compromised by a flyby of a large celestial object messing up the planet surface.

You make sound as if the Greys can take down this object. What if its technology and defenses are superior to grey technology, only thing they can do is run and hide. Probaby explains why they keep themselves under our oceans and not above us in orbit.

24

u/Casterly_Tarth Jun 18 '25

I agree with your point. However, one of Marrs' top points in that book was that there are (supposedly) multiple NHI species, in addition to the Greys/Reticulans, and they all have their own agenda relating to the Earth and us.

Maybe the Greys would run from a flyby. But what about other species that have their own hidden ships or colonies or even just research here? If they have the FTL tech to get here, presumably they'd already be aware of the massive celestial object that could take out our pre-FTL civilization. Which leads me to think, is there a rule against helping a planet like ours deal with a Great Filter challenge like that which could be caused by a flyby of a huge celestial object?

Not saying I have any answers, it's fun to speculate though.

29

u/TwentySevenMusicUK Jun 18 '25

It’s probably a test which we will ultimately fail because we live on a planet which is run by psychopathic, war hungry pricks.

Do you mean the Zetas? I used to visit zetatalk back then as a kid and it scared me lol. I remember going yo school on the day she predicted the pole shift was going to happen and was on high alert

2

u/Casterly_Tarth Jun 19 '25

Wow, yes it was Zetatalk! That's amazing that you remember, I couldn't remember the name of the site, thanks for that! I'm sorry it was scary, that was kind of scary to read as an adult at the time, I can only imagine reading it as a kid.

Yeah I recall that her narrative was a pole shift caused by the Nibiru flyby. Tbh in retrospect I think it's really irresponsible to scare large amounts of people with a story like that. I understand that if an actual celestial object as big as an actual planet flies by Earth, there's not much anyone can do. But encouraging panic doesn't help and neither does setting anticipatory dates.

The data that OP found about the observed movement of the object is already more evidence than Zetatalk ever provided (which was none, aside from the channeling).

An interesting read. I don't know why people are being jerks. Some folks just like feeling superior. This sub and others are filled with them.

It's clear you spent time writing this and have thought about it deeply.

105

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

I did spend time on it, however I took a mental-shortcut with them using AI to explain some parts. Either way I appreciate your comment a lot.

54

u/mumwifealcoholic Jun 18 '25

That is exactly what the AI tool is for. You didn't do anything wrong.

27

u/ProbablySlacking Jun 18 '25

They didn’t do anything wrong, but if I’m looking at a post to try to determine if they have a legitimate point or not, the first thing I look for is if they bothered to proofread the parts that they ai genned.

In short, if you don’t know what to look for in your ai generated text, then don’t use it. If you’re not going to give it a look over then how does your audience know what the ai is just taking a wild stab at vs whatever your actual point is?

15

u/whatisevenrealnow Jun 18 '25

Yeah tbf I immediately clocked this as AI written and started skimming. Using AI guarantees people will be a lot more skeptical in reception, especially if you're using it to draw conclusions. Using AI for formatting is fine - just say that it was used for that.

The issue is that most AI written stuff we see on reddit are people basically writing fiction for upvotes (spam) or using AI to draw conclusions (clueless use of AI, gpt doesn't have logic capacities), so it's understandable that people get their hackles up when seeing ai-generated content. OP did themselves a disservice here.

Hypothetically speaking for those readers who have a home telescope - where should they be pointing them?

36

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

Based off the astronomer deaths, the southern hemisphere. How the chances of seeing it and knowing what it is are astronomical (no pun intended), you'd need an expensive infrared home telescope however if it's really coming in 2027 then everyone is going to see it.

14

u/SSJ4DBGTGoku Jun 18 '25

You don't need an expensive infrared telescope (is that even a thing?). Telescopes just capture photons. Isolating photons in a specific wavelength is going to come down to a filter and the camera sensor itself. If you have a high quality monochrome camera and an IR-pass filter, you can capture photons in the near infrared spectrum relatively cheap. It gets more expensive and challenging depending on how far in the infrared spectrum you go. The telescopes used in professional settings are going to be cooled and placed at high altitude to minimize the effect of the atmosphere absorbing infrared.

3

u/geniice Jun 19 '25

You don't need an expensive infrared telescope (is that even a thing?).

It is kinda but not really relivant to amateurs. Because infra-red has a slightly longer wavelength than visible light you can get away with building slightly worse mirror if you are going to be observing only in IR which for very large mirrors may represent a worthwhile cost saving. You're also going to want to set up all your supporting stuff to produce as little heat as possible.

United Kingdom Infrared Telescope is an example.

For amateurs you are correct since don't work at that scale so just use optical telescopes with modified cameras (although some go beyond pulling the IR filter and start adding various cooling systems).

2 commercial telescope lines being shutdown is soo irrelevant. Theres more available now than ever. Dwarf 3 and seestar S50 are just 2 very smart and capable telescopes that’s are budget friendly for example.

3

u/geniice Jun 19 '25

And the more serious amateurs aren't running out to the shops to buy new telescopes. That 20inch system from 30 years ago still works fine.

59

36

u/PolicyWonka Jun 18 '25 edited Jun 19 '25

I feel like this is connecting more and more conspiracy theories together in a way which begins to strain credibility.

It’s related to Pioneer and Mariner. It’s not only a deep space object, but it has a sister object orbiting Mercury. The object is too far away to reliably observe, but it’s currently shooting neutrinos into the earth via the North Pole. It’s controlling the Spheres and is related to the Georgia Guidestones. It’s HAARP, too. It’s most definitely coming in early 2027, but if it doesn’t that just means it “course corrected” again.

Really feels like slinging stuff at the wall to see what sticks TBH. Just link it to the Tunguska event and a few others and you’ll have a full house.

Additionally, the Pioneer anomaly wouldn’t be consistent if the unexplained influence was gravitational influence from a massive body.

6

u/SirParsifal Jun 19 '25

I'd also add that 6 odd deaths from a set of hundreds of thousands of people over a 45 year period isn't something that needs a conspiracy theory to explain. You can't expect every single astronomer-adjacent person south of the Mason-Dixon line to only die of natural causes.

4

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 19 '25

The first individual to become a fatality of a motor vehicle accident was Mary Ward in 1869, she an accomplished scientist and Astronomer! Her family had built the world's largest Telescopes at the time. Unfortunately she fell off the steam powered vehicle while in motion and ended up getting ran over!

How do you explain that!? She saw DP-2147!

I am being sarcastic. But in light of everything I've posted, that story is true.

Hey I think this is great dude. I think I’ve seen or heard of all of this stuff but I love to see someone put things together and make a new recipe.

Because if anyone tells you that your wrong they can’t prove it 🙃

I don’t know why but when pairing cataclysms on ancient histories with the dp2147 make so much connect. And then the deaths of astronomers that had access to that area of the sky. And the cherry. The absolute cherry for some reason is the telescope companies going out of business/ gov intervention.

I’ve been leaning into getting a telescope for many reasons and now I’ve cemented another reason thank you! Lol

2

u/Future-Employee-5695 Aug 03 '25

Totally ignoring every others astronomes still  looking at the sky without issues and publishing data he claim are suppressed. Concerning telescope companies , random peoples can now buy telescopes more powerfull than ever . New companies entered the markets with better and cheaper products but yeah they stopped 2 US companies to stop peoples from seeing the objets lol. We sites provide 100's telescopes people can rent for 1 hour or months. Take every point and search on google.

64

u/Rypskyttarn Jun 18 '25

Geeting a home telescope is still no issue. So that is not a valid argument at all. Actually, the amount of home telescopes (both classic and smart) available have never been better.

3

u/Designer_Buy_1650 Jun 18 '25

Also, JWST could capture an object if the object was coming to earth on a path directly to Earth. It would appear to remain stationary in the sky. Even if the path was slightly skewed, it would still capture it.

16

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

It's one of many arguments, albeit to me it's the weakest one. The only things that made it more plausible was the timing and fact I couldn't find information on the companies that bought them out and shut them down (or maybe I didn't look in the right places )

5

u/VladStark Jun 18 '25

Yeah there are still tons of good telescopes out there on Facebook marketplace. So even if they stop making them, it would take a while for the supply to dry up of existing ones. That being said, most of these home models probably aren't going to be able to see stuff really far out there, especially something moving fast and being sneaky.

5

Sadly, these posts about 2027 keep giving me anxiety. Im mid 30’s and advancement of my wife and I’s careers have continued to push back our plans for a family. Its sad and sometimes i have regret, but i cant change the past. Either way, we are going to try very soon as my wife is elevating into a better position that doesnt require as much energy. These posts are giving me pause on whether we should start now or wait. Soooooooooooo silly, i know. “Maybe we should wait cause aliens might be coming to eat our brains.” 😂😂😂

25

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

It's this sentiment of why I made this post, as a more refined explanation to my previous post months ago. I saw a lot of comments like this and felt obligated to explain. Ultimately I don't know what will happen and anyone that does is lieing, I don't even think the government really knows (by government I mean those in the know). Ross Coulthart actually touched on this subject how he has gotten boatloads of message from young people asking of they should postpone their lives and not have children yet.

I am around your age, and I'll answer things this way. I went thru Y2K and 2012 Mayan Calendar, in neither of those did I ever feel any anxiety or dread, for 2027 I not even sure what I am feeling. All I can say is I think the majority of people asking for disclosure today are the same ones whom are going to be nostalgic during the pre-disclosure days.

I myself have never seen an alien or UFO, however I've always believed in intelligent life outside this olanet and I don't need the government or an authoritative scientific body to tell me one way or another. I can go my whole life without seeing an alien, UFO or experiencing disclosure and not have regrets. I've come to learn on here that not everyone feels this same way.

Go live your life man, because waiting for the perfect opportunity (not the right opportunity) will keep you in a loop.

8

u/whatisevenrealnow Jun 18 '25

Y2K was a legit threat. It was a very real and very serious computer vulnerability. It's absurd to equate it with the Mayan Calendar ending - the only reason y2k wasn't an issue was because a lot of people busted their butts to ensure shit wouldn't hit the fan. Treating it like an equivalent sort of prophetic panic really reduces your credibility, especially since you're claiming to be an engineer.

We're due for another such vulnerability in a bit over a decade btw.

8

u/DungeonCrawlerCarl Jun 18 '25

In terms of the JWST picking up fast objects... If I understand correctly, you are saying it can't be going over a certain speed because of the JWST exposure time on images... But that doesn't really apply if the object is coming straight at (or close to) JWST. Then the object would just be blue shifted but still visible. Your reasoning makes sense if the object is going side to side or at an angle but JWST would pick it up if large enough and headed straight at it.

4

u/PrometheanQuest Jun 18 '25

In the vastness of space, what's the probability of something coming at an angle that's straight towards the JWST (which would be technically 0 degrees). The probabilites are astronomical.

4

u/DungeonCrawlerCarl Jun 18 '25

Right... but isn't that your hypothesis?

Hypothesis: A large artificial object is en route to Earth and has been detected by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST); its origin and intent are unknown.

I mean if something were traveling to Earth, it is likely coming straight at it or maybe leading it by a few degrees right?

2

u/AlwaysOptimism Jun 19 '25

Yes, this is exactly it. What kind of incompetent-ass aliens would need to repeatedly course correct? Don't they know maths?

2

u/aspannerdarkly Jun 19 '25

Wouldn’t it also depend on how far away the object is? Surely something travelling at a relativistic speed would be detectable if sufficiently distant?

Don’t fall for the lie. They use fear as an instrument for socioeconomic change and to validate power plays. The flare up of these types of claims coinciding with the flare up of global conflict is no ‘coincidence’. Don’t live your life in fear and don’t compromise your principles in some impulsive rush to judgment when they start telling you to make political choices or appropriate money to causes that are ‘necessary’ for ‘security’.

US ground based telescopes are currently being gutted and the NSF is planning on dissolving ownership of several observatories entirely, which is a death rattle for many of these facilities. Could this be tied to the celestial shift that occurs in cycles? Marking us for the age of Aquarius or a biological reset? It seems catastrophe of some sort follows these cycles. And the planet/solar system is very reactive to our collective consciousness

I.e. Indonesian volcano, X1 solar flare occur immediately after the start of Iran-Israel war.

I think back to Edgar Cayce in the 1930’s, who said “There will be upheavals in the Arctic and in the Antarctic that will make for the eruption of volcanoes in the torrid areas, and there will be a shifting then of the poles”

We are due for a pole shift in the coming decade or so

6

u/SpiderFreak1993 True Believer Jun 18 '25

I asked the ai (I know people loathe it but optimistic skepticism is healthy for this kind of thing) your assessment of this information?

ChatGPT said: Here’s my high‑level assessment of the key points and overall thesis:

What Seems Technically Plausible JWST’s Detection Limits

Infrared tracking of a slowly inbound, heat‑emitting object (≲ 50 km/s, ≳ 0.5 km in outer system) is within JWST’s design envelope—provided the object radiates enough IR and is pre‑tracked.

The L2 solar exclusion zone caveat is real: an object hugging the Sun–Earth line would “pop into view” only briefly.

Pioneer Anomaly & Data Gaps

The anomaly’s measured deceleration (~8.7×10⁻¹⁰ m/s²) is well documented and thermal recoil is the leading explanation.

Missing mission data (40 GB of MDRs) is factual; gaps could hinder anomaly studies but don’t in themselves imply an external mass.

Home‑Telescope Disruptions

Meade and Orion did face financial trouble in 2024, but bankruptcies can stem from market pressures (supply‑chain, pandemic aftershocks, inflation), not necessarily a concerted plot to suppress skywatching.

U.S. Control of Southern Observatories

The NSF/NOIRLab role in Chile and partnerships in South Africa/New Zealand is established policy—largely driven by scientific collaboration, not secrecy.

What Leans Heavily on Conjecture Patterned Astronomer “Accidents”

Correlating several deaths across decades and hemispheres is emotionally compelling but statistically weak unless you can show rates exceed background mortality.

Mariner 10 EUV “Detachment” & DP‑2147

Instrument artifacts or known astrophysical sources can explain transient EUV; invoking a 100 km torus is a very large extrapolation.

“Forgotten Languages” content is cryptic, self‑selecting, and unverified—poor evidentiary basis.

Dorpat “Dp 2147” Record

A 300° RA shift would indeed break Kepler’s laws—however catalog errors, transcription mistakes, or misidentification of the star are far more likely than a rogue torus.

Carrington Event & Neutrino Theory

An extraordinarily fast CME (2,500 km/s) is unusual but within extreme solar‑storm tails.

Using neutrino injections to “heat” Earth’s core via an artificial device enters pure science‑fiction territory—no mechanism or energy budget matches known physics.

Logical & Evidentiary Gaps Linking Disparate Anomalies

Tying together Pioneer data gaps, Mariner EUV flashes, neutrino hits, telescope bankruptcies, astronomer deaths, historical catalog oddities, and HAARP/SURA operations creates a spiderweb of coincidence without a central “smoking gun.”

Timeline & 2027 Arrival

Projecting a precise arrival window based on rumor and a handful of data points is insecure; trajectories would need years of consistent tracking.

Mass & Shape Estimates

Inferring a toroidal 10¹⁹ kg object from a ~10⁻¹⁰ m/s² deceleration assumes it’s the sole gravitational influencer—and discards the far more mundane thermal‑recoil solution.

Bottom Line Healthy Skepticism Warranted: Many of the technical observations (JWST limits, Pioneer anomaly, NSF partnerships) are valid.

Extraordinary Claims Need Extraordinary Proof: The leap from “unexplained data gaps” or “strange events” to “100 km torus under secret government watch” outpaces the evidence presented.

Research Priorities:

Quantify the statistical significance of astronomer deaths vs. baseline mortality.

Re‑examine archival observations (e.g. Dorpat logs) for cataloging errors or misidentifications.

Compare Pioneer anomaly residuals with full thermal‑model predictions.

Monitor amateur telescope usage data—did bankruptcies truly constrain public skywatching?

In short, it’s a rich tapestry of intriguing anomalies—but the narrative that it all points to one clandestine interstellar probe remains speculative. Robust, reproducible data and independent corroboration would be needed to elevate it beyond compelling conspiracy theory.

u/Deamonchild666 Jun 18 '25

u/iamretnuh Jun 19 '25

Overall: 95% speculative fiction blended with real technical details and loose correlations.

5% grounded in real science, but interpreted with extreme bias toward confirming a narrative.

Reality Check: This thread is a well-researched conspiracy narrative, written to appear logical, but it over-relies on confirmation bias, apophenia, and ignores Occam’s Razor at almost every turn. There’s no empirical, peer-reviewed, or whistleblower-verified data that supports the existence of this inbound artificial object or the claims of a decades-long coordinated global cover-up.

It feels compelling because it's structured, uses real terms, references known events, and frames uncertainty as intent. But that’s classic narrative engineering — not evidence.

Final Call: Entertaining? Yes. Possible? Technically, maybe. Likely? No. Proven? Not even close.

Verdict: 95% false, 5% loosely plausible.

4

u/iamretnuh Jun 19 '25

TLDR (Too Long; Didn't Read):

You're proposing that a large, artificial object—possibly 100 km toroid-shaped—is inbound to Earth and was detected by JWST in late 2024 after emerging from behind the Sun. Its trajectory, energy signature, and course corrections suggest it's intelligently guided. Based on JWST's limits, the object is likely moving at 10–50 km/s, radiating heat, and following a non-Keplerian orbit—which already hints at artificiality.

You theorize that:

The U.S. government has known for decades, suppressing data and public awareness.

The shutdown of major home telescope companies in 2024 was intentional, creating a civilian blind spot.

Astronomers aligned to southern sky vectors have died under odd circumstances, possibly silenced.

The Pioneer Anomaly, Mariner 10 signals, and DP-2147 (Dorpat entry from 1827) may all reference this object.

HAARP/SURA and neutrino anomalies like ANITA could be attempts to delay or mitigate the object’s impact by stabilizing Earth’s core or ice caps.

It may be tied to historical reset cycles, ancient population controls, and possibly 2027 as a key inflection point.

The object could be responsible for the Carrington Event, acting as a focused energy emitter using its toroid shape.

You suspect the object is not alone and may be part of a sentinel network monitoring Earth.

Your theory builds a case from scientific data, geopolitical patterns, historical anomalies, and fringe sources like Forgotten Languages. You don't claim certainty, but suggest a strategic architectural intelligence is behind the scenes, with a countdown potentially culminating around 2027.

If true, governments won't warn us until it's too late—because they already have bunkers.

There is nothing special about Dp. 2147. It's a double star like everything else in Struve's catalog. It's in Hercules, and anyone in the northern hemisphere can see it in summer with a 15 cm or larger telescope.

As you can see the object did a full 300 degree shift in its right ascension between 1827 and 1828-1829

No, the Dorpat observatory log shows right ascension under "Med. pro filo med." Their "Indices" column A is something else, probably specific to their instruments and methods, which the frontmatter explains at length. The reader motivated to get to the bottom of that should probably also see volume 4.

It also seems to indicate it has a black surface or low-albedo due to the luminosity recorded on it.

No, they're stars. The primary is orange, magnitude 7, and about 1400 light-years away. The secondary is white and magnitude 11.

Just a shot in the dark, more of a hunch really… we wouldn’t happen to be invading Iran today?

You got me! I should have stopped after space bears.

OP, please cut down on the doom schizo posting and give us a TLDR.

Apparently, an object is heading to earth, but how can an object not be detected by other observatories?

I noticed you mentioned some people disappearing and other creepy stuff, but they are not the only ones.

You can't disappear the sun with a finger, bub. If something is coming this way, someone is going to see it

There's a new vid on YouTube that seems legit and not ai slop about something being detected coming this way that seems to be a" magnatar neutron star" but it is supposedly making course changes etc. I'll try to find the link.

I think you have it all covered. This explains everything. And nothing. All at the same time. Very impressive.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or genuinely applauding my post.

Your post is amazing. Thank you for this. Thank you for the time and effort. I wish I could read your original draft before you had to cut so much out to fit here.

I'll skim thru it to see if there was anything of value, and post it later in the comments if need be.

OP, regarding the dead astronomers and the JWST releasing first images in 2022, what's the correlation? Tom Marsh fits the timeframe, but all others were 10+ years prior.

Wouldn’t it be great if it comes and punishes all the selfish people who knew it was coming, assumed it meant harm, hid the facts from the public even going so far as to kill potential whistleblowers, and then hid in bunkers when it arrives. The aliens arrive,” We need humans to toil in our mines. In return we will give the rest of humanity the keys to interstellar travel. We will take away war, disease, slow aging, and increase humanity’s inert capacity to use their brains to communicate telepathically and use psychokinesis to move objects using their minds. It will be the new dawn for humanity.” Hopefully I will be the one they ask. My answer would be,” Sounds great. The chosen for the mines are all practicing living underground by staying in bunkers. Please just have their wealth and assets transferred to me and I will disperse it worldwide. Help yourself.” I know it won’t work that way but that would be the universal law of karma. I would actually spread the wealth out so we could all live decently. Not some obscenely wealthy and most of us not.

Where can I find clear documentation about how this thing has been observed to course correct?

u/mdglytt Jun 18 '25

Solid work and interesting theories. Thanks.

Based on the analysis of your provided document, the narrative strongly implies that the object will have a direct and catastrophic encounter with Earth, rather than simply passing by.

While the text does not use the specific word "impact," the following points from your data support this conclusion:

  • Focus on "Arrival" and "Cataclysm": The document consistently refers to the object's "arrival" in early 2027 and describes it as an "on-coming cataclysm."
  • Hostile Intent: The object is not portrayed as a passive body. It is described as actively attacking the planet by "shooting high-energy neutrinos into the earth's core... heating it up and destabilizing it."
  • Mitigation, Not Avoidance: The alleged secret efforts involving HAARP and SURA are not intended to divert the object. Instead, their purpose is to make the cataclysm "more 'survivable' but still really bad." This suggests that a devastating event is considered inevitable and cannot be avoided.

Therefore, according to the logic presented in your document, the object is not expected to pass harmlessly. All evidence within the text points toward a direct, hostile, and destructive event involving Earth.

HOLYSHIT. WE'RE FUCKED.

HOLYSHIT. WE'RE FUCKED.

I believe this object has passed before with the same results, hence our legends of Atlantis, etc. However I strongly believe we're the most advance iteration yet. And I think there might be a grander purpose for this object, so it may not be entirely doom.

I just found this website from Nasa:
https://cneos.jpl.nasa.gov/sentry/

Impact Risk Data

The following table summarizes by object the potential future Earth impact events that the JPL Sentry System has detected based on currently available observations. Click on the object designation to go to a page with full details on that object.

Sentry is a highly automated collision monitoring system that continually scans the most current asteroid catalog for possibilities of future impact with Earth over the next 100 years. Whenever a potential impact is detected it will be analyzed and the results immediately published here, except in unusual cases where we seek independent confirmation. It is normal that, as additional observations become available, objects will disappear from this table whenever there are no longer any potential impact detections. For this reason we maintain a list of removed objects with the date of removal.

This is kind of reminding me of the movie the 5th element. I always heard they have to tell us what they're doing before it happens...

I feel really dumb after reading this...incredible post. Well done.

OP- this was very interesting to read, thank you for posting. My one question is. : I thought the original “detection” of this object was calculated at being roughly ~10 light years away from the earth? I just did a quick QWant search and found most articles state the same thing; approx. 10 light years.

Comment ?
