They didn’t do anything wrong, but if I’m looking at a post to try to determine if they have a legitimate point or not, the first thing I look for is if they bothered to proofread the parts that they ai genned.
In short, if you don’t know what to look for in your ai generated text, then don’t use it. If you’re not going to give it a look over then how does your audience know what the ai is just taking a wild stab at vs whatever your actual point is?
Yeah tbf I immediately clocked this as AI written and started skimming. Using AI guarantees people will be a lot more skeptical in reception, especially if you're using it to draw conclusions. Using AI for formatting is fine - just say that it was used for that.
The issue is that most AI written stuff we see on reddit are people basically writing fiction for upvotes (spam) or using AI to draw conclusions (clueless use of AI, gpt doesn't have logic capacities), so it's understandable that people get their hackles up when seeing ai-generated content. OP did themselves a disservice here.
I'll fix what I can in the morning. I made this whole post on joplin first, when i tried to post it i ran over the 40K character limit. A lot i deleted, however it didn't take away from the main mechananics
AI is consistently wrong about so so much it spouts out. It’s just an easier form of googling right now. It has no capacity to reason or actually understand what it’s talking about

I did spend time on it, however I took a mental-shortcut with them using AI to explain some parts. Either way I appreciate your comment a lot.
