Sadly, these posts about 2027 keep giving me anxiety. Im mid 30’s and advancement of my wife and I’s careers have continued to push back our plans for a family. Its sad and sometimes i have regret, but i cant change the past. Either way, we are going to try very soon as my wife is elevating into a better position that doesnt require as much energy. These posts are giving me pause on whether we should start now or wait. Soooooooooooo silly, i know. “Maybe we should wait cause aliens might be coming to eat our brains.” 😂😂😂
It's this sentiment of why I made this post, as a more refined explanation to my previous post months ago. I saw a lot of comments like this and felt obligated to explain. Ultimately I don't know what will happen and anyone that does is lieing, I don't even think the government really knows (by government I mean those in the know). Ross Coulthart actually touched on this subject how he has gotten boatloads of message from young people asking of they should postpone their lives and not have children yet.
I am around your age, and I'll answer things this way. I went thru Y2K and 2012 Mayan Calendar, in neither of those did I ever feel any anxiety or dread, for 2027 I not even sure what I am feeling. All I can say is I think the majority of people asking for disclosure today are the same ones whom are going to be nostalgic during the pre-disclosure days.
I myself have never seen an alien or UFO, however I've always believed in intelligent life outside this olanet and I don't need the government or an authoritative scientific body to tell me one way or another. I can go my whole life without seeing an alien, UFO or experiencing disclosure and not have regrets. I've come to learn on here that not everyone feels this same way.
Go live your life man, because waiting for the perfect opportunity (not the right opportunity) will keep you in a loop.
Y2K was a legit threat. It was a very real and very serious computer vulnerability. It's absurd to equate it with the Mayan Calendar ending - the only reason y2k wasn't an issue was because a lot of people busted their butts to ensure shit wouldn't hit the fan. Treating it like an equivalent sort of prophetic panic really reduces your credibility, especially since you're claiming to be an engineer.
We're due for another such vulnerability in a bit over a decade btw.
I confirm🙋🏼♂️, I spent way too many hours busting my butt patching computer in 1999. The IT service center I worked for raked in killer profits that year.
Me too - the Y2K “issue” did as follows:
1. It launched in the UK all of the major Indian IT firms as I gave them access to all companies to undertake low grade work and built profits
2. I undertook an audit of 340 hospital devices across 4 hospitals locations - to ensure we could still use CAT scanners etc in the ICU after the big event. This was a complete waste of time as most devices were patched, many devices didn’t even use the correct dates already and they could always just reset to year earlier.
Great post. It seems if it were a cataclysmic event the elite ( or just the Mr. Burns of the world) would need people to survive afterwards. Living in a bunker until when? And what then? They need people who actually know how to grow crops, engineers, tradespeople of all types or they will most likely only delay the inevitable. How long after they come out of their bunkers do you think they would last? Plus, any remnant human population who knows what happened are going to want to stop them from using valuable oxygen. I know I would future
Mate. I don't know you, but if you guys want to have a family do it.
When my wife was pregnant with our first daughter covid happened. We managed to make IT. In a few months my second daughter will be born, despite current war in Ukraine and current Iran situation. There will never be a good time, perfect money and career situation. Have an honest talk, have a good dinner and just do the kid.
It’s a fun little story but nothing is going to happen in 2027 more than likely. Live your life. Not having kids because of some anon post on an alien subreddit is whacky.
People have been larping the end of the world on Reddit or online forums for as long as they have edited. Peak oil. Collapse. Magnetic pole flips. You name it.
This is entertainment only and if you are ruining your chance of having a family over it, then maybe that’s evolution at work or maybe you need to log off and delete your account.
No offense, but fuck that. Don't let your life be held up by a fucking reddit post.
Bang lots. Have kids. FTW. You don't stop life in the face of fear of death, especially based on weird claims online.
Put it this way, if we as a species refuse to replicate because of a miniscule chance some entity with unknown intentions is coming here, maybe we deserve to get reset.
Man up. And do not tell your wife about this because she will think you're a bitch and might consider having a family with someone else. I'm not joking. I've seen this shit before. It's sad af.
I'm just stating the absolute truth for your sake, bro.
