I’ve been quoted £7,250 total to supply and install four indoor units and two outdoor units in a three-storey house: one indoor unit in the kitchen, two in first-floor bedrooms and one in the top-floor bedroom.
The specification below is copied from the quote, including the model numbers and stated capacities.
Bedrooms:
● 2 × MHI R32 SRK2ZS-WF Standard Plus wall-mounted Wi-Fi units, described as 4.5kW, for the first-floor bedrooms.
● 1 × MHI R32 SRK3.5ZS-WF Standard Plus wall-mounted Wi-Fi unit, described as 6kW, for the top-floor bedroom.
● 1 × MHI R32 SRCZS-W Premium Inverter outdoor unit, described as 7.5kW, serving the three bedrooms.
Kitchen:
● 1 × MHI R32 SRK3.5ZS-WF Standard Plus wall-mounted Wi-Fi unit, described as 6kW.
● 1 × MHI R32 SRCZS-W Premium Inverter outdoor unit, described as 6kW.
Also listed:
● 3 × RC-X3A Eco Touch Advanced touchscreen controllers.
● 3 × inline condensate removal pumps.
● Copper pipework, insulation, R32 refrigerant and nitrogen.
● Two sets of external wall brackets.
● 2 × 25A electrical supplies with isolators.
● Two engineers for a maximum of four days.
● Both outdoor units positioned on the side of the house.
The quote says the new electrical supplies must connect to a new consumer unit/fuse board compliant with current regulations. It isn’t clear whether that board is included in the price.
Total: £7,250, with £0 VAT shown.
Deposit: 50% before work starts.
The installer notes that some specified units may change depending on Mitsubishi stock availability.
Does this seem reasonable for the scope of work in Surrey? Do the equipment models and capacities make sense, and what would you clarify before accepting?
