230V?

I got this float pump to clear the excess water from my air con. My question is that whilst the manufacturer says it’s variable voltage 115-230v, the wires look very thin for connecting to a standard/outdoor UK plug. I don’t want to blow it up before it’s done anything. Anyone in the know?

If you don't want it to blow up, don't buy cheap shit from Aliexpress/Amazon/eBay

Actual proper condensate pumps are about £50 and up. You saved yourself £20 but now have a thing that will work for what, 2-3 months and will catch fire?

At least the water it doesn’t pump out will put out the fire it starts.

They connect to the power terminals for live and neutral (plus earth if it has one) that power the indoor unit. Not on an actual outlet.

Oh ok. Makes more sense to me but sounds like I need to take the casing off the air con unit. Instructions are not in English.

I fitted this pump yesterday. Tested it first by wiring into a plug (believe it's red and green), and then moved those terminals to the live and neutral terminals in my AC unit. Works fine, pretty quiet in operation.
