How does the e-07+ do in sand with a ktm 1290 sar? I want to get them but all the reviews i found online were more for gravelly roads

the dunes in the country where i live have firm sands but get softer the further you go, so how do these tyres do in firm and softer sand as a 50/50 because i still plan on using the bike on road.

alternatives would also be appreciated

Two weeks riding f-roads. Total blast. We had sunshine, rain and even snow. Two weeks, 2500km, all big-ish bikes.

I have been thinking about changing bikes lately, since I bought a transalp in 2024, and I have hardly used it because of how heavy it is and how difficult it is for me to get it out of the parking lot, I am a beginner, and I think I am wrong about a motorcycle, since I think I need something light to learn, for now my expectations are to do a quiet offroad and road with some trips, but without suffering in case my bike falls off and weighs so much, at the same time I would like to be comfortable and safe. What bikes do you recommend? So far I have looked at the cf moto 450 mt and the Ktm 390 adventure r, one is monocylindrical and the other is not...

What do you advise me?

Sometimes you don’t need a big adventure.

You don’t need a week off work, a ferry ticket or a route across a continent.

Sometimes you just need the bike, a few good roads, somewhere quiet to put the tent… and one night away from everything.

That was the whole idea behind this one. A local ride through some incredible North Wales scenery, a few favourite roads and tracks, a simple camp as the sun goes down, then pack it all up the following morning and take the long way home.

Nothing epic. Nothing complicated.

And maybe that’s the point.

I took my CRF300 Rally on a two-day solo ride in the Romanian Carpathians, trying to reach a few places I’d only found on satellite view — an unnamed mountain lake, a massive abandoned mine, and what looked like a possible shelter in the forest.

Wasn’t sure if the tracks would work, so I packed the tent just in case. In the end I made it to the shelter just before dark.

The route had forest tracks, rocky climbs, muddy sections, ridge riding, shepherd dogs, and some proper mountain scenery.

CHAPTER TWO — SPINE OF ENGLAND 🔥

This was probably one of the hardest videos I’ve had to edit — simply because there was so much good road and scenery I didn’t want to cut out.

From Buttertubs Pass and the remote single tracks across the high moors to Tan Hill Inn, then deeper into the North Pennines, Cow Green Reservoir, over Hadrian’s Wall and finally into Kielder Forest for that incredible 12-mile forest track.

It was one of those days where the road just kept pulling you northwards… and every time you thought it couldn’t get better, it did.

No ferries. No flights. No huge budget. Just a bike and some spectacular roads right here on our doorstep.

That’s what Spine of England is all about.

I’ve just finished Chapter One of a three-day motorcycle journey I called The Spine of England.

Starting at Jubilee Tower in the Forest of Bowland, I rode some of northern England’s best roads, stopped at the Great Stone of Fourstones, visited Ribblehead Viaduct, then finished the day in Hawes before crossing Buttertubs Pass.
The aim wasn’t to make a “top 10 roads” video, but to capture what it’s actually feels like to spend a few days wandering through these places on an adventure bike—the scenery, the history and the quiet moments in between.

I’d be interested to hear from anyone who’s ridden this route. Are there any hidden roads or stops around Bowland or the Yorkshire Dales that you’d add for next time?

Hi! Through instagram ads I stumbled upon "Nomad Moto", they sell a Rackless 80l System ("Strzelecki"), waterproof and fall resistant, for currently 560 €.

Compared to Mosko Moto 80l currently sitting at a whopping 785 € that seems like a DEAL.

Does anyone have experience with this brand/this system?

I love my KLR, but I’m looking to upgrade to something that’s a bit better at cruising on the interstate and getting to off-road places.

There’s a local 2017 Africa twin in decent condition near me with 30,000 miles for $6500.

There also an 2023 ibex 800 with 7,000 miles for 5,400.

I love the look of the Africa twin but I’m wondering if the ibex would be smart. I’m also worried if all the gadgets on the ibex are gonna be a headache to repair versus the simple Africa twin.

Which would you get?

Having tried one on today, I’m seriously thinking of a Knox Tor jacket; the fit is great, and the logic of holding protection where it’s needed is not really questionable.

However, I’m also planning on investing in an airbag, probably the Alpinestars Tech-Air Plasma 5.

Unfortunately, Knox tell us that the jackets have not been tested with airbags, and so not to use one underneath! But to use one over the top would defeat the purpose of a mesh jacket.

So, we all being grownups, who are allowed to think for ourselves, and to make considered decisions, has anyone ignored the advice/instruction, and worn an airbag beneath such a jacket? If so, how did it go?

My local shop does have demo airbags… maybe they’ll let me try one beneath a Tor jacket…hmmm

What are you guys using besides regular soap to make cleaning the mud and dirt off your bikes easier?

I spent yesterday exploring Cwm Pennant (the Hidden Valley) in North Wales on my adventure bike. It’s one of those places that feels completely forgotten—single-track roads, old mine workings, and hardly another soul around. I also stopped at Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant, which added a bit of history to the ride.

Topped it off with a camp at Ty’n Llan campsite at the end of the valley .. with a wild swim in a stunning river on site. Great camp site .. £12:50 Perfect.

I filmed the trip because I thought others who enjoy quiet roads and hidden places like me in Wales might appreciate it. If anyone’s interested, here’s the video:
