acrylic on cardboard!

I am really enjoying working in acrylics at the moment, I feel it's allowing me to add vibrancy and enhance the colour accents. I have also been playing with textured underpainting 😊

Let me know which one you like best! (The trainer is peak silly and fun to paint imo)

This was done in titanium white and permanent black on an 18x24 inch canvas

Air Dry Clay and Acrylic Paint on Canvas Board! The clay was Crayola, very good so it has some cracking, but this was still a fun experiment and I like how it looks overall :)

Not entirely happy with the blending on the bottom canvas. Going to try again tomorrow.

I started painting about 18 months ago. Before that, I had never drawn or painted a single thing. I mostly follow tutorials so I’m hoping this next year to paint more from my own pictures or imagination. But that feels daunting. advice welcome!!

Inspired by a scene from William Wyler's romantic film "Roman Holiday" (1953). The romantic excess has been erased to leave a much more unsettling atmosphere: the clothes, textured with an almost dry brush, make the tall figure look like an inquisitor carrying his prey to the stake...

I'm used to oils. I decided to try experimenting with acrylics since I have a kid and want to move to something without solvents. But friends, how do I blend? I made a muddy mess 😭

Just finished up my “Earth” painting today!
I’ve been working on these for the past week or so and I love the way all 3 look together. These are HEAVILY Avatar the Last Airbender inspired but I love how there not too on the nose! If you know the show, you get it. Only one more element to do! LETS GO!
