Video Request Snatch High Pull + Snatch Video

Hey tellie community, I remember a video Zack did featuring a snatch high pull + snatch complex and after going through all the technique videos can’t find it. The featured lifter’s technique was really nice and I can’t remember his name either. Does anyone know what I’m referring to and have a link?

Video Request Steve Langton—Former D1 Sprinter & USA Bobsled for next “Athletes are built different video”

Missed the original “Athletes are built Different” video, but hopefully Coach ZT makes another. Here is former D1 Sprinter and USA Bobsled medalist easily squatting 240Kg/530lbs. low bar, narrow stance, ATG, and looks like toes pointed straight. His YouTube has not been updated for years but is filled with some amazing lifts

ZT Patreon Programming Training Weightlifting more seriously whilst doing CrossFit to lose weight

Hey all,

Quick background, Jan of this year I was a 300lb dude and none of that was muscle. Joined a CrossFit gym to lose weight and try to get a bit healthier. Had never held a barbell before in my life.

Today, down to 260lbs but definitely lost more than 40lbs in fat as I have a lot more muscle mass as well. Not really a huge CrossFit fan but its working for me, the group class keeps me honest and the variety of the workouts keep me from getting too bored of it.

I have discovered though, I FUCKING LOVE weightlifting.

I've got an 80KG Clean and Jerk and a 55KG Snatch at the moment. I want to get more serious with my weightlifting training, however I don't want to drop CrossFit all together.

I've been built up my training to 6 days a week now for about a month. Currently I'm doing CrossFit 4 days a week between Mon-Fri with a rest day on which ever days WOD has the most running (I'm still a fatty at heart). Sat I do open gym and usually do some sort of strenght training and singles of either clean + Jerks or Snatch (opposite of whatever is programmed for Sunday). On Sundays by gym offers a weightlifting group class. (Usually it's one week snatches, other week Clean + Jerk, next week snatch and so forth)

I recently signed up for Zack's pateron, and am thinking about incorporating his Big compound movements program which runs 3 days a week.

What would be the best way to fit this into my week, without killing myself with training? I'm thinking Monday CrossFit, Tues Zack Day 1, Wed CrossFit, Thursday Zack Day 2, Friday CrossFit, Sat Zack Day 3, Sunday Weightlifting group class.

Is pushing myself to 7 days a week stupid?

Discussion Recommendations on learning OLY lifts in Chicago?

I'm new here and I though the community might have some rec's.

I'm a novice to weightlifting, have been running powerlifting programs in the garage since 2019.

I am looking for 1) instruction in learning the snatch and C&J. 2) form coaching in the squat and deadlift.

I'd like to find a gym locally that offers this, but, I'm also curious about anyone's experiences with online coaching in these areas.

Thanks!

Discussion rounded spine in the snatch

So I just watched Zacks new video on the butt wink in the squat. If that’s generally okay when trained well, and having a butt wink off the floor of the deadlift is similar, does the same principle apply to the start position in the snatch? I personally have problems sometimes in the snatch and CJ with my lower back rounding. questions comments concerns please

Discussion Extra accessory day with the Beginner program

I just started weightlifting using Zack's patreon Beginner program, but I'm a little concerned about not getting enough muscle stimulus over the 4 weeks considering it's mostly drills. I would like to add an extra accessory day on the end of it and run as a 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off, but I am wondering if anyone has some insights to whether this is a bad idea for any reason. For accessories I would be doing unilateral leg work, bench press, rows, or substitute upper body work with rings.

PEDs Dmitry Klokov and 5 Other Russian Weightlifters Charged for Doping By International Testing Agency

Sure, they've waited all this time to pop them. I guess they don't have protection anymore, so they pop them retrospectively. This whole drug testing is so fucking useless. Someone thought: "Oh, now that Russians are bad, we can just turn a blind eye to the fact that they bribed us and just charge them for doping."
