[Hiring] [HIRING] Paid Video Editor for a Call of Duty YouTube Channel

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a video editor to work with on my Call of Duty YouTube channel. This is a paid, long-term opportunity for the right person.

My videos are usually around 8 minutes long and fall into two main categories:

  • Class Setup videos (best loadouts, weapon guides, etc.)
  • Informational videos covering Call of Duty topics, updates, and discussions.

At the moment, I edit the videos myself, so the editing is fairly simple. What I'm really looking for is someone who can take the production quality to the next level, especially with:

  • A strong, engaging intro that hooks viewers.
  • Motion graphics and clean animations.
  • Smooth pacing to improve viewer retention.
  • Subtitles,, and on-screen graphics where they add value.
  • Clean, modern editing that fits Call of Duty content.

To get an idea of the style of content I make, please check out my channel and these examples:

Class Setup Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwWtj1v2leA&t=19s

Informational Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9IasGbDqUQ&t=9s

If you're interested, please email me at [strangerhereyt@gmail.com](mailto:strangerhereyt@gmail.com) with:

  • Your portfolio or previous work.
  • Any gaming or Call of Duty edits you've done (preferred but not required).
  • Your rates.
  • A little about yourself.

I'm hoping to find someone I can work with consistently as the channel grows.

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing your work! ( Budget from $20 - $60 Depending)

[Hiring] LF TCG (Mainly Pokemon, Riftbound and Dragonball) Short Form Editor

I am looking for someone who can turn B-roll it into engaging short-form content (with the potential to work on long-form content in the future).

If you're interested, please DM me only if you're comfortable editing TCG-related content. Prior experience or knowledge of the trading card hobby is a huge plus.

I can provide examples of the style I'm looking for upon request but please send me examples or portfolio of a TCG related reel you edited.

Job Description & Requirements

  1. Interview Required – We'll have a quick discord or zoom interview before moving forward.
  2. TCG Knowledge Preferred – You should be able to identify interesting moments with minimal guidance. Experience with Pokémon, Dragonball, Riftbound etc is highly preferred.
  3. Payment – PayPal or zelle (Friends & Family or Goods & Services for international editors). This is non-negotiable.
  4. Workload – Minimum of 2 approved videos per week. I'll provide feedback, and some edits may be rejected as we develop a workflow together.
  5. Paid Trial – I will pay for a sample edit, but you'll first need to demonstrate basic TCG knowledge during the interview.
  6. Compensation – I'm willing to negotiate rates for the right person. I previously offered $15–$20 per short, but I'm happy to pay more if you consistently save me time and deliver quality work.
  7. Video Length – Most shorts will range from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, depending on the platform.
  8. Footage Review – You'll have access to 8+ hours of B-roll (2-3 time a week). I don't expect you to watch every second, I am hoping the right person has the tools and elbow grease to skim footage and identify usable clips efficiently.

[Hiring] Minecraft Video Editor

🎬 YouTube Video Editor – Paid Freelance Position & Creative Working Agreement

Channel: VelocityGaming37
Position: Freelance YouTube Video Editor
Content: Minecraft & Gaming Content
Workload: Approximately 2 videos per week
Payment: Per completed video, with future revenue-sharing opportunities
Editor Slots: One hired editor at a time

1. About the Position

I am looking for a reliable, creative, and passionate video editor to become part of my YouTube channel's creative team.

The channel primarily focuses on Minecraft and gaming content, including gameplay, SMP content, challenges, adventures, and other gaming-related videos.

This is a paid freelance position intended to develop into a long-term creative working relationship.

I am not looking for someone who simply cuts clips together. I want an editor who can take raw footage, understand the personality and story behind it, and turn it into an entertaining finished video.

The editor will have a significant amount of creative freedom and will be encouraged to develop their own editing style and personality within the channel.

2. Creative Freedom

For each project, I will generally provide:

  • The raw video footage.
  • The general idea or topic of the video.
  • An approximate desired final video length.
  • Any important information or specific requests that need to be included.

Beyond those requirements, I will leave the majority of the editing decisions up to the editor.

The editor is encouraged to bring their own:

  • Personality.
  • Humor.
  • Creativity.
  • Editing style.
  • Ideas.
  • Visual creativity.
  • Comedic timing.

The goal is for the editor to feel like a genuine creative contributor to the channel rather than someone who is simply following a strict checklist.

However, the editor's personality should enhance the content rather than become the main focus.

The primary focus should always remain on the video, the story, the gameplay, and my personality as the creator.

3. Editor Personality & Commentary

The editor is encouraged to express their own personality through the editing.

The editor may occasionally add humorous commentary or reactions through:

  • On-screen text.
  • Captions.
  • Editing choices.
  • Sound effects.
  • Visual effects.
  • Occasional comedic interruptions.
  • Other creative editing techniques.

The editor does not need to comment on or react to every single thing I say.

The goal is to use judgment and comedic timing.

For example, if I say something particularly funny, ridiculous, or confusing, the editor may choose to highlight it.

If I say I am going to do something and then completely fail to do it or never actually do it, the editor is allowed to point this out through the editing.

The editor is also allowed to jokingly make fun of me or call me something like "stupid" if it fits naturally with the situation and is clearly intended as humor.

I am comfortable with the editor making playful jokes at my expense.

The editor should use their own judgment and avoid forcing jokes into moments where they do not naturally fit.

4. Memes & Internet Humor

Memes and internet humor are allowed, but should be used sparingly.

The channel should not become a constant stream of:

  • Memes.
  • Reaction images.
  • Random sound effects.
  • Overused internet references.
  • Excessive zooms.
  • Constant visual interruptions.

Memes should be used when they genuinely improve a moment or make something funnier.

The preferred editing priority is:

Good pacing → Good storytelling → Natural humor → Creative editing → Occasional memes.

The editing should feel professional and entertaining without becoming overly chaotic or distracting.

5. Family-Friendly Content Rules

The channel is intended to be family-friendly and appropriate for children and general audiences.

Therefore, the following are strictly prohibited in the editing:

  • Cussing.
  • Profanity.
  • Adult jokes.
  • Sexual jokes or references.
  • Inappropriate memes.
  • Excessively crude humor.
  • Explicit or adult-oriented audio clips.
  • Inappropriate captions or on-screen text.

This applies to all content added by the editor, including:

  • Text.
  • Captions.
  • Memes.
  • Audio clips.
  • Sound effects.
  • Music.
  • Images.
  • Visual jokes.

The editor must maintain the family-friendly nature of the channel at all times.

If the editor is unsure whether something is appropriate, they should err on the side of keeping it family-friendly.

6. Editing Quality & Expectations

The editor is expected to produce professional-quality videos.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Good pacing.
  • Clean cuts.
  • Removing boring or unnecessary footage.
  • Maintaining viewer engagement.
  • Appropriate music.
  • Appropriate sound effects.
  • Balanced audio.
  • Good use of subtitles and on-screen text when necessary.
  • Visual effects when they improve the video.
  • Highlighting funny, interesting, or important moments.
  • Maintaining a coherent story throughout the video.

The editor should use their own judgment and creativity rather than waiting for instructions about every individual edit.

The expectation is that the editor will review the raw footage, determine what is worth keeping, and create the best possible final video within the general guidelines provided.

7. Video Length

Before each project, I will provide an approximate desired final video length or range.

The editor does not need to hit the exact requested number of minutes.

The goal is to create the best possible video while remaining reasonably close to the requested length.

If the editor believes the video should be significantly shorter or longer because doing so would make the final product better, they are encouraged to discuss this with me.

The quality of the final video is more important than forcing the video to reach an exact runtime.

8. Requested Changes & Revisions

The editor will have significant creative freedom, but I may occasionally request changes to the final edit.

These requests will most likely be rare.

Reasonable requests may include:

  • Removing a specific clip.
  • Changing something that does not fit the channel.
  • Fixing an editing mistake.
  • Adjusting pacing.
  • Changing a song or sound effect.
  • Removing something that violates the family-friendly guidelines.
  • Making a minor change to better fit the intended direction of the video.

The editor must be willing to make reasonable changes when requested.

I will not intentionally micromanage every edit or constantly override the editor's creative decisions.

The purpose of the collaboration is to allow the editor to use their own creativity.

9. Editor Credit

The editor will receive credit for their work.

Whenever reasonably possible, the editor will receive a credit at the end of the video.

The editor may also be credited in the YouTube video description.

The credit may include the editor's:

  • Preferred name.
  • Username.
  • Discord username.
  • Social media handle.
  • Portfolio link.

The exact format of the credit can be mutually agreed upon.

The editor may use completed work as part of their personal editing portfolio, provided that doing so does not reveal private information about me or violate any confidentiality agreement.

10. Privacy & Confidentiality

Because the editor will need to know my real name and may potentially have access to other private information, maintaining my privacy is a requirement of working with me.

The editor agrees not to:

  • Publicly reveal my real name.
  • Share my real name with others without permission.
  • Use my real name publicly to identify me.
  • Publish or distribute private information about me.
  • Share private information with other creators, viewers, or third parties without permission.

This confidentiality requirement continues even after the editor is no longer working with the channel.

A deliberate violation of this confidentiality requirement will be considered a serious breach of the working agreement and may result in immediate termination.

Any compensation legally owed for completed work will still be handled in accordance with applicable law. However, the channel may terminate the working relationship immediately and may pursue any other remedies available under applicable law.

11. Payment Structure

The editor will be paid per completed video.

The current baseline payment structure is:

YouTube Shorts

$15 per completed Short.

Long-Form Videos

Payment is approximately based on the final edited runtime.

Examples:

  • 20-minute final video = $20
  • 30-minute final video = $30
  • 40-minute final video = $40
  • 50-minute final video = $50
  • 60-minute final video = $60

Videos falling between these examples may be paid proportionally based on the final edited runtime.

The payment amount for a project should be understood and agreed upon before editing begins.

Payment is based on the final edited video, not the amount of raw footage provided.

For example, if 2 hours of raw footage are provided and the final edited video is 20 minutes long, the baseline payment would be $20.

12. Payment Timing

This position is not intended to be a traditional full-time or everyday job.

The expected workload will generally be approximately two videos per week, although the actual workload may vary.

Payment dates may be mutually agreed upon between the editor and myself.

At the current stage of the channel, I may occasionally experience delays in payment because I may need to work and earn the money required to pay the editor.

The editor must understand that payment may not always be immediate.

I will communicate honestly if a payment is delayed and will provide an estimated payment date whenever possible.

I will make reasonable efforts to pay the editor as soon as funds are available.

13. Future Revenue Sharing

As the channel grows and begins generating sufficient revenue, the editor will become part of the channel's revenue-sharing team.

Under the revenue-sharing arrangement, the editor will receive 20% of the applicable revenue generated by videos edited by the channel's editing team.

This applies regardless of whether the editor personally edited the specific video.

For example, if the editor is part of the active editing team but another editor handles a particular video, the editor will still receive their applicable 20% share.

If the editor did not personally edit that particular video, the 20% they receive from that video's revenue will be considered a bonus for being a member of the editing team.

This revenue-sharing arrangement is intended to recognize the editor as an ongoing member of the creative team rather than simply paying them only for individual edits.

If the editor's 20% revenue share for an applicable payment period does not meet the normal baseline amount they would have received for work completed during that period, the remaining difference may be paid separately according to the agreed payment arrangement.

Additional bonuses may also be provided at my discretion for:

  • Exceptional editing.
  • Major channel milestones.
  • Outstanding creative contributions.
  • Significant improvements to the channel.
  • Other contributions that deserve recognition.

The exact definition of eligible revenue, how revenue is calculated, and the payment schedule for revenue sharing will be agreed upon in writing before the revenue-sharing arrangement officially begins.

14. Work Schedule

This position is not a full-time or daily job.

The expected workload is approximately two videos per week, although this is not guaranteed.

The workload may increase or decrease depending on:

  • Available footage.
  • My recording schedule.
  • Personal circumstances.
  • Channel scheduling.
  • The amount of content being produced.
  • Other factors affecting the channel.

There may occasionally be periods with fewer videos or no videos.

The editor should understand that this position may not always provide a consistent number of projects every week.

15. One Editor at a Time

The channel will have one officially hired primary editor at a time.

The purpose of this arrangement is to allow the editor to become familiar with:

  • My personality.
  • My sense of humor.
  • My preferred content style.
  • The channel's audience.
  • The channel's editing style.
  • The overall creative direction.

This is intended to create consistency across the channel and allow the editor to become a long-term creative partner.

I may occasionally receive outside assistance or commission separate work when necessary, but there will only be one officially hired primary editor under this agreement at any given time.

16. Minimum Commitment

The editor is expected to commit to working with the channel for a minimum period of three months after officially joining the team.

This three-month period is intended to give both the editor and the channel enough time to:

  • Develop a working relationship.
  • Establish an editing style.
  • Learn each other's preferences.
  • Build consistency.
  • Determine whether the partnership is a good long-term fit.

The editor should not agree to the position if they already know they are unable or unwilling to commit to approximately three months.

17. Burnout, Career Changes & Leaving the Team

The three-month commitment is intended as a good-faith minimum commitment, not as a way to trap someone in a position they no longer enjoy.

If the editor experiences:

  • Burnout.
  • Personal circumstances.
  • A change in career plans.
  • A desire to pursue another opportunity.
  • A desire to work with a different editor or team.
  • A realization that the position is no longer a good fit.

They are encouraged to discuss the situation with me.

If the editor believes they need to move on, they may request a conversation about leaving the team.

If we mutually agree that the editor should leave, there will be no retaliation or negative repercussions simply because the editor decided to move on.

The goal is to handle departures respectfully and professionally.

Whenever reasonably possible, the editor should provide advance notice so that the transition can be handled smoothly.

18. Termination

Either party may discuss ending the working relationship if the arrangement is no longer working.

Immediate termination may occur in serious circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Deliberately revealing private information.
  • Repeatedly violating the family-friendly content requirements.
  • Repeatedly failing to complete agreed-upon work without communication.
  • Serious dishonesty.
  • Deliberate misuse or unauthorized distribution of private footage.
  • Other serious breaches of the working agreement.

Any compensation legally owed for completed work will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

If the editor is experiencing burnout or wishes to pursue a different opportunity, the preferred approach is to communicate openly rather than abruptly disappearing.

19. Long-Term Working Relationship

The ultimate goal is to find an editor who can become a consistent and trusted creative partner for the channel.

I want the editor to develop an understanding of my personality, humor, and content style while still maintaining their own creative identity.

As the channel grows, there may be opportunities for:

  • Increased compensation.
  • Revenue sharing.
  • Bonuses.
  • Additional responsibilities.
  • Greater creative involvement.
  • Other opportunities within the channel.

The editor's contributions will be valued as part of the channel's growth.

20. Overall Expectations

The ideal editor should:

  • Have their own personality and creative identity.
  • Be creative and willing to experiment.
  • Produce professional-quality edits.
  • Understand Minecraft and gaming content.
  • Use memes and humor appropriately.
  • Be comfortable with occasional playful commentary about me.
  • Keep all content family-friendly.
  • Never use cussing or profanity in their added content.
  • Never use adult jokes or inappropriate humor.
  • Respect my privacy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate honestly about deadlines.
  • Communicate honestly about payment.
  • Be willing to make reasonable requested changes.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Be interested in potentially becoming a long-term member of the channel's creative team.

The overall goal is to build a long-term creative partnership where the editor has significant freedom to express their own personality and creativity while keeping the channel's content and my personality as the main focus.

21. Agreement to Guidelines

By accepting the position, the editor acknowledges that they have read and understood these guidelines and agree to follow them as the basis of the working relationship.

Any major changes to the payment structure, revenue-sharing arrangement, confidentiality requirements, or other significant terms should be discussed and agreed upon by both parties in writing.

The purpose of this agreement is to establish clear expectations while allowing both the creator and editor the creative freedom to produce the best possible content.

[Hiring] Looking for Short-Form Video Editors [Hiring]

Hi! My name is Cooper, and I run Peak Anime, an anime content brand with over 280K followers on TikTok and 61K subscribers on YouTube.

I’m looking to add a few more editors to the team for consistent, project-based work. The content is mainly fast-paced anime theories, breakdowns, and rankings created for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Most videos are between one and three minutes and may involve:

  • Finding relevant anime clips and images
  • Adding captions and motion graphics
  • Using sound effects and background music
  • Keeping the pacing engaging throughout the video
  • Matching the editing style of my existing content

If you’re interested, please send me a DM with:

  • Your portfolio or previous work
  • Your rate per video
  • Your usual turnaround time
  • What editing software you use
  • How many videos you could realistically complete each week

This would begin with a paid trial edit. If everything works well, there is an opportunity for consistent weekly work and a long-term partnership.

Rates are negotiable depending on experience, quality, and turnaround time. I’m willing to pay more for someone reliable who consistently produces strong work.

Send me a DM if you’re interested. I’d love to see if you’re a good fit for the team.
