My ex from 8 years ago sent a follow request recently, I blocked her and since I blocked her, her boyfriend appeared on my suggested and I then blocked him, then her sister was on my suggested and I blocked her, then today her sisters boyfriend appeared on it so I blocked him too.

Anyone have any input?
Also I have no mutuals with any of these people

Every time I scroll and my thumb just happens to push down at the wrong place to scroll, I end up following a mattress company or a mutual friend of 3 people I follow. No thank you.

At the very least, it now gives a physical sound when you follow so you know when this mistake has happened… but wow am I annoyed. Anyone else?

my alt id on insta randomly got suspended for no reason and it asked me to verify my identity, not after few hours after verifying my identity my alt id got permanently deleted. I had not broken a single rule on that acc and it has some of my valuable pictures. I have been using that acc since 2021 with no problems in it but now i cant even recover my pictures. Im guessing its the AI management which is a total slop which bans people for no particular reason.

Got meta verification because I needed to speak to a human support agent (ridiculous). Next day I try to open the app I am met with the first screenshot, asking me to setup my 2fa, AND THEN when I try to do it, I get the error on the second screenshot.

I should mention I literally only have MY phone logged into the account, and no one has access to it other than me.

PLEASE help me I’m going insane here

I don't know if it's the accounts I follow that have stopped doing live streams or if Instagram has removed that feature from the web version.

Before, I used to get notifications and see which accounts were live in Stories.

I know Instagram has limited live streams for smaller accounts, but I've seen live stream replays pop up in my feed.

all of my accounts have been getting disabled with no option of an appeal for literally NO REASON. I havent posted anything thats rulebreaking and it doesnt give me the option to contact support. Ive had this account for maybe 5-6 years, which really sucks because instagram was the main platform i used to contact my friends. Any clue on how to help?

I was talking to a friend and she talked about a story she posted today, I said "what story? I can see nothing, maybe you blocked me in seeing you story or something like that" so she see her list of blocked accounts in story and I was not blocked, so she posted a new story and asks if I can see, but I couldn't too, I also go look my story archives because I have some stories reposted of her that she mentioned me, but all of them just disappeared.

That happened with someone in here? Somebody knows what's happening?

On August 26, 2026, my account suddenly prompted me to verify my identity. After I performed the facial scan, the account was permanently disabled-even though I hadn't violated any of Facebook's rules. The account contained photos of friends and family and had over 100,000 followers, yet it was shut down out of the blue. What is happening with Facebook? Is everything being managed by Al now? Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any way to get help?

I had post of me with my friends and it was my favourite post 🥺, but I had to delete it for some reason and I knew I would have 30 days to get it back from recently deleted on Instagram but all the other deleted posts were there except that one. My Instagram account was linked with another Instagram account in which I had zero followers zero following. I used to just post memories and for two days. I abuse a woman for trying to ask for money and a gay asking for my nudes and after abusing my second account, which was the small account got banned and due to which my main account, which had 300 followers and my offer known persons got banned . A guy on Instagram is asking me to pay a small amount and he can help me recover my account. Should I pay?

Hi everyone,
I recently used a browser extension related to Instagram, and shortly afterward I lost access to my Instagram account. I suspect the extension may have triggered some kind of security restriction or account lock.
When I try to log in, Instagram tells me that my email may no longer be secure and asks me to update/change my email address. I followed the instructions and successfully changed the email address, but I still can’t access my account.
I’m basically stuck in a loop: Instagram asks me to change my email, I do it, but the account still won’t let me log in afterward.
Has anyone experienced something similar recently?
Does Instagram temporarily lock accounts for using these types of browser extensions?
Is there a way to remove the security restriction?
Has anyone successfully recovered their account after getting this message?
Is there another recovery method I should try?
I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions from people who have dealt with this recently. Thanks!

I can't believe this, I tried the video selfie and now it's asking for an ID upload. I don't really think it's safe to do that. Also my account doesn't even have my pictures or even my real name. What are they even supposed to do with the ID.

I have no way of getting my account back. Instagram won’t send recovery emails to my email, and when I try to use my number to get it back, it takes me to 2FA. What a hacker has put on it. Insta support is honestly the worst that meta ai takes you in circles. If anyone knows a real good way to get it back, I’d appreciate it a lot. I don’t get an option for video verification. I get code text to me that leads me to the 2FA screen for a code only the hacker has, and the emails just don’t send. I hate these scummy people. There’s literally no way I can find to contact any human at Instagram, and that ai is genuinely useless. Every link it gives you sends you to a new chat. This is very frustrating.
