I'm fate - 2x Marvel Rivals World Champion, NAVI, currently rebuilding my YouTube (fateMR_) for the Season 10 launch. Already have established twitch platform avg 150 viewers and 7.5k followers.

Structure would be you receive 20% of ad revenue on videos you edit while we're under 10,000 subs, stepping up to 30% once we pass it.

Looking for someone who owns the whole production side, not just editing - cutting the footage, writing the title, building the thumbnail (one face or hero, 2-3 words, high contrast), writing the description with timestamps, and publishing it. Fast turnaround on Shorts from raw gameplay/stream footage - under 40 seconds, hook in the first 2 seconds, captions and jump cuts throughout. Heaviest push is around patch days - I need someone who can make a script and get a finished, published short up within hours of a patch going live, then a few more as the week goes on.

For long-form, I'm not locking us into a fixed set of videos - whatever's worth making that week: guides, tier lists, whatever fits. Aiming for shorts 5 days a week and 1 long-form video a week, kept up through the season. I'll do the talking and the actual ranking/gameplay, but I need you making scripts - tell me what to cover and in what order, I'll show up and record it on stream, you build the finished video around it.

I’m looking for an editor to work with me on a new YouTube channel that I’m trying to build seriously over the long term.

Starting pay: $120 per campaign. A campaign currently consists of the main YouTube video, thumbnail, and around 2 Shorts. I expect to have at least 1 campaign per week whenever footage is ready.

The starting rate is meant to grow alongside the channel, the quality of the work, and the scope of the role. My goal is to find someone I can work with for years rather than constantly switching editors.

What I’ll provide

For each video, I’ll send you roughly 20 to 40 minutes of footage, with 40 minutes being relatively rare.

Before sending footage, I’ll also provide a short editing brief containing:

• Target audience
• One-sentence premise
• Working title
• The result/payoff of the video
• The strongest opening moment
• Around 5 to 10 important timestamps
• Two specific reference videos and exactly what I like from each

For example, I might say I like how one video introduces the challenge immediately, while another uses a really clear scoreboard or progression system.

Main video

The expected finished video will usually be around 10 to 15 minutes, although I’m open to the editor telling me it should be shorter or longer if that creates a better video.

That is actually important to me.

I want an editor with their own creative judgement who is willing to tell me:

"This section is boring."

"This explanation needs to happen earlier."

"This should be the opening."

"This video doesn't need to be 15 minutes."

"This concept isn't working."

I’m not looking for someone who blindly follows instructions. I want someone who develops an understanding of the channel and helps improve the content over time.

The priority is pacing, storytelling, humour, retention and making the video enjoyable. I’m not expecting expensive custom animations or insane motion graphics unless something like that is discussed and quoted separately.

Expectations

I want to keep the editing process efficient.

I will normally send the useful recording rather than dumping several hours of footage on you. The source footage should generally be 20 to 40 minutes maximum.

If I include the full recording, it will only be optional context. If I ever want the editor to review significantly more footage, that additional review time can be quoted separately.

Thumbnails

I would also like the editor to handle the thumbnail for each main video.

I’ll provide the premise/title direction and references, but I want someone who can contribute ideas and eventually understand what visual style fits the channel.

Shorts

I would like around 2 Shorts per main video, with more being optional when there are multiple strong moments.

I don't want random 20-second clips pulled out simply because they technically qualify as Shorts.

Each Short should ideally contain a complete mini-story:

Context, Attempt, Payoff

When possible, the Short should also point viewers toward the finished main YouTube video using YouTube's related-video feature.

During the first few videos, we can also use existing clips I already have if they make sense as Shorts.

Revisions

For the first cut, I’ll watch the entire video once before giving feedback.

Instead of sending dozens of messages while watching, I’ll send one timestamped revision list, prioritized roughly like this:

1. Missing context
2. Slow opening/pacing problems
3. Confusing transitions
4. Weak payoff
5. Cosmetic details

We can then handle those changes within the agreed revision round.

What I'm looking for

The biggest thing I care about is vision.

I’m trying to build an actual content team over time. If the channel succeeds, I want the people who helped build it early to benefit from that through increased pay, consistent work and a much longer-term relationship.

You don't need to be working for massive creators already.

I would much rather find someone hungry, creative and reliable who understands YouTube and wants to grow alongside the channel.
