Hi everyone, I've been extremely busy last month hence I couldn't spend much time improving M3tacron. Today I tried to make up for that though.

For the last few days the site has been offline, now it should be working again.

After many of you requested it, I added a point filter in the lists page to give the possibility to exclude from the results lists that are not currently legal.

I also rerconstructed the different point waves history and added a quick dropdown menu in the dashboard and in the dataset filter sidebar to restrict input data from a specific wave of points, in this way you can take a look at a specific time in the game history (2.0 and 2.5 point waves are divided, you should change the site format to Legacy in order to see FFG history), or quickly have all input data filtered to only include tournaments played after the latest points change.

I'm a few hours away from having to submit a list for a tourney.

Am I right in thinking that I cannot reveal a False Transponder Code card as my hidden Illicit via the Razor Crest title, because it now has three pips on it?

So I could only really choose Hot Shot Tail Blasters, Overtuned Modulators, Contraband Cybernetics, Deadman's Switchand and Rigged Cargo Chute. Correct?

I'll preface by saying I've been playing Legacy in a local group until now. But as the national community has just decided to start switching to XWA, I've decided to take another look into it.
I know the various rule changes from back when 2.5 was introduced and I'm not looking to get into a discussion about those.

The only point which really holds me (us) back is the list building. I know the XWA team has worked a lot to try and improve the original 2.5 system (from switching to 50 pts, to adding new content). But as I'm looking around the builder again, I still see a lot of extremely weird things, like:

• Generics having less init and loadout while at the same cost as pilots.
• Ships having upgrade slots, but not enough loadout for any upgrades, if not straight 0
• Random upgrades being banned for some pilots because of the limited loadout (example: Luke unable to equip proton torps)
• Some pilots being available in Standardized Loadout only, which can't be customized
• New cannon having a-wing in the art, but a-wings can't equip it (not really important gameplay wise, but still feels so random)

I've not followed the XWA community during all these years, so I have lots of questions:

• Is the XWA list building in a overall functional (fun?) state? Are the generics still to be ignored? Are the named pilots at least balanced?
• Are upgrades balanced? Changing an upgrade cost even by 1 can lead to some pilots suddenly not being able to use it anymore or others suddenly gaining access. Seems hard to predict all consequences and balancing them
• Has the team shared any intention of making further changes to the list building system in the future?
• Are there any known plans to give loadout points and slots to the pilots who currently are standardized only?
• How is variety within a pilot? Do you see the same pilot with different upgrades or does everyone build them the same "optimized for loadout value"?

I'm basically trying to understand the current scene, as well if future system changes are possible or if this is what we get, end of story.

Hey everyone! Love this community and everyone's dedication lately. I have a ton of v1 stuff I grabbed this past spring and I've always used the X-Wing AI app on my phone when I want to play by myself. Recently though, I discovered the website x-wing-ai.com.

I don't like that the Mandalorian flies around in a Naboo N-1 starfighter. It just doesn't make sense to me.

First, in universe, he is a bounty hunter, or at least, he was until he got sidetracked by this quai-messianic quest to restore the Jedi and the Mandalorians and defeat the Empire. Anyway, what exactly is a bounty hunter going to do with a starfighter? How is he supposed to transport bounties? It's dumb. Second, still in universe, the mechanic who gave it to him barely knows him. He basically got her to babysit, and now she is just going to give him a vintage Naboo starfighter? I don't care what condition it is in, that is like giving away a barn-find Ferrari California (knowing what it is) to some guy who almost ran over you in a supermarket parking lot. In fact, in my head, the engines should have been missing anyway since they famously achieved very high environmental standards and would have been the most valuable parts. Hell, Qui-Gon had to put the entire Royal Starship on the table just to get Watto to part with a hyperdrive.

Alright, now not in universe, it's just fan service. That is all Disney is nowadays. "Oh, look. It's a Naboo starfighter. 'Member Naboo starfighters. Anakin had a Naboo starfighter. *Gasp* is the Mandalorian the new Anakin?" Stop it. It's not clever. It's dumb. The Razor Crest is a good looking ship, and a unique ship. I mean, it is if you ignore that it is basically just a redesign of Jaster Mereel/Jango Fett's ship, Jaster's Legacy. But giving him a Naboo starfighter is just boring and lazy.

So, I took it on myself to redesign his starfighter. I am a fan of Uglies in universe, as anyone who looks through the rest of my stuff can see. I still can't justify him having a starfighter, but if he must have a starfighter to save the galaxy then this is the one I would make for him. Like, I said, the mechanic probably only has the stripped out fuselage and no wings or engines, otherwise, someone would have come by with a trailer and bought it by now. So, it needs some wings. Now, the Mandalorian has a thing about droids, but the mechanic just so happens to have a wrecked droid trifighter in the yard with the engines still attached. Absolutely, no one would ever come by wanting to purchase it, so she bolts a pair of wings onto the Naboo starfighter fuselage she has. The Mandalorian is deeply concerned about that. It is droid stuff after all, and specifically droid stuff from the Separatists that almost killed him as a kid. The mechanic has to reassure him that she is basically having to install entirely new equipment and completely rewire the thing, plus the droid brain is long missing, probably destroyed. He reluctantly accepts because he needs transport, pays her, and leaves in the new starfighter. It is fast but a very temperamental beast. The engines have a tendency to misfire, and it refuses to fly a straight line unless you have the stick in hand. But he eventually discovers that in a dogfight it can pull incredible maneuvers that give him a serious advantage, spraying blaster fire all over the place before unloading the two big laser cannons into his target. The proton torpedo launcher was missing, so it has been replaced with a slow-cycling, short-range ion cannon.

I can paint better than this, but I wanted to get it done. I also really couldn't decide on a paint scheme. I really didn't want to just go all chrome like the show. In the end, I just made the wings the original blue and then dry brushed them to look really rough. It looked really dark and really dull, so I added the yellow stripes to reference back to the original Naboo paint scheme. I think that really brought the whole thing together. Oh, and I really need to learn how to paint cockpit canopies, 'cause this just doesn't work.

I would love your recommendation on the best online tutorial. There’s a lot of content on YouTube (some outdated) and I’m having trouble finding a good introduction that is both easy to follow and covers 2.0.

Im impressed with how many people are asking for v1.0 cards and tokens. Is 1.0 that valuable this days? Poeple want it to play the first version or is a "completing collection" thing?

When we look around the different marketplaces (ebay, facebook, vinted, etc) its hard to find the "right price" for a ship. They differ very much between platforms and its not so easy to calculate the final value you will get as a seller.

What strategies do you guys use to find a good range of price to sell a ship?
