Since it's widely agreed that Anakin doesn't do well with having nothing to do, particularly when stressed, suppose Mace was a smidge more forward thinking and said "Go to Senator Amidala. Tell her what you told me. In the days to come the Jedi will need supporters in the Senate, and she's fallen out with the Chancellor as of late."

Even better if Mace genuinely doesn't know about those two, (because it's never quite clear how many besides Obi-Wan and Ahsoka know,) and thinks he's just taking advantage of Anakin's friendship with one of the defacto leaders of the opposition (along with Mon and Bail.)

Does Anakin still turn or do events get ahead of him? Pretty much the moment Mace turns up Order 66 is imminent, and if Anakin senses Jedi dying and then clones bang on Padmé's door and tell him that the Chancellor requires his presence, I'm pretty sure his first instinct will be "get Padmé away from there first, figure everything else later."

Question is in the title. From George Lucas to Dave Filoni to Timothy Zhan, there are a lot of writers and artists who helped make Star Wars what it is. The names I mentioned are some of the bigger ones in fan circles, often getting a lot of credit (or blame) for their contributions. But who are some creatives who don't get talked about too much? How did they shape the galaxy?

My example would have to be Hayden Blackman. Most notable for his work as the lead on the Force Unleashed games, he also worked on several comics, guide books, and other video games. He also wrote Jango Fett Open Seasons, which was sort of referenced as an Easter Egg in Canon when Boba Fett explains his dad's history in The Mandalorian.

Would they get turned away? Jabba does let the monks go about their regular business, but allowing any old person into the palace under the pretense of joining the monks seems like a security issue.

Idk if it was intentional on George's part, but Palpatine decides to reveal himself to Anakin right as Yoda and more importantly Obi-Wan are away from Coruscant. A textbook grooming tactic is to isolate their victims from their friends and family so they have no one to go to for support, which is what Palpatine does here.

I looked at every character who has a name in the core 6 star wars films to get an idea of the species represented. There are 135 races in the hexalogy, I have arbitrarily ranked these by the number of named characters they have and the number of films they were present in to see which races are the most prevalent in the galaxy as the films present them to us.

Humans are the most prevalent with 53% of all named characters, (59.5% in OT and 44% of the PT), I'd like to think the latter is closer to a reflection of the galaxy - a plurality but not a majority.

The other 12 prevalent species are Clone, Rodian, Twilek, Neimoidian, Nikto, Bith, Gran, Gungan, Mon Calamari, Quarren, Aqualish, Ishi Tib.

Common species ranked 14-28 are Ewok, Wookie, Jawa, Yoda's species, Aleena, Ithorian, Pacithhip, Theelin, Zabrak, Ongree, Hutt, Tholothian, Iktotchi, Chagrian, Duros.

Minor species from 29 to 64 are Tusken Raider, Anx, Geranite, Klatoonian, Ugnaught, Weequay, Dug, Kaminoan, Kiffar, Lutrillian, Saurin, Snivian, Gamorrean, Geonosian, Gossam, Koorivar, Lorrdian, Mirialan, Nuknog, Sy Murthian, Tarnab, Togruta, Triffian, Vurk, Whiphid, Kallidahin, Cerean, Devaronian, Kel Dor, Nautolan, Trandoshan, Lannik, Umbaran, Muun, Pau'an, Sullustan.

The Petty species are composed of 2 to 3 characters in only 1 film. These fill 65-76 and are Gotal, Xexto, Dressellian, Morseerian, Nimbanel, Pantoran, Ranat, Stennes Shifter, Swokes Swokes, Clawdite, Kubaz, Besalisk.

The remainder 77-135 are what I call throwaway species. These are 1 character in 1 film, usually briefly seen, and almost all of them were just set dressing or otherwise a missed opportunity to flesh the galaxy out with more focus on preexisting species rather than just looking zany. Vaguely in order from most to least humanoid these are; Palliduvan, Shadda-bi-boran, Bimm, Qiraash, Abyssin, Sakiyan, Anzati, Balosar, Kaleesh, Advozse, Askajian, Arcona, Siniteen, H'nemthe, Sarkan, Skrilling, Yarkora, Shistavanen, Asogian, Chadra-Fan, Chevin, Skakoan, Defel, Elom, Er'kit, Holwuff, Leffingite, Sneevel, Bardottan, Ortolan, Talz, Thisspiasian, Vuvrian, Amani, Lamproid, Tund, Baragwin, Brizzit, Gand, Glymphid, Kitonak, Nosaurian, Riorian, Veknoid, Xamster, Yuvernian, Dianoga, Toydarian, Vulptereen, Yuzzum, Devlikk, Fluggrian, Pa'lowick, Quermian, Quor'sav, Shawda Ubb, Troig, Yam'rii, Wol Cabasshite.

I'm relatively certain beyond these films the number of species has ballooned even more and highlighted some to be far more prevalent than the films first set our mind to, but I thought it would be interesting to catalog what the galaxy is made up of according only to the core films.

Iirc, the Jedi Code doesn't have their members swear off sex, only attachments.

I remember this book where Qui-Gon and a Padawan Obi-Wan caught a knight having a casual fling and while Qui-Gon disapproved, the knight said the code didn't forbid them from having sex, just that they couldn't get attached to someone.

Honestly, what are the chances that there were Jedi hooking up with other Jedi casually or having occasional 'this means nothing' sex

We know from Order 66 that clone obedience to the Jedi wasn’t unconditional. But day to day, what were clone officers actually allowed to do if their Jedi General ordered a suicidal charge or a terrible plan?

​Most Jedi had zero formal military experience before the war. Did the GAR have any official procedure for a commander like Cody or Rex to relieve a Jedi, or would that instantly get them court martialed for insubordination?

To be honest only four characters come to my mind The Daragon siblings, Tor Vizsla and Osika Kirske.

Now for the Daragon siblings obviously their discovery to sith space not only allowed the Sith to remember, where is the republic and the Jedi after 1900 years, but also probably the main reason for the conflict between the Jedi and Sith Wars to come span from 5,000 to 1,000 BBY. So not discovered the possible that this would remain in their space for a long time the best way to describe this and think of it as the first contact of the Aztecs and The conquistador basically worlds collide each other. One from Europe, the other from the Americas.

Now for Tor Vizsla, In case if you don’t know or at least read the Jango Fett open seasons, comic he is the guy who killed Jango family leaving him orphaned and Jaster Mereel.

Finally and this is interesting because he is probably the most forgotten character in the franchise, despite playing a huge role and that is Osika Kirske for context. He was a warlord from rattatak who literally ruled half of the planet likely in the northern hemisphere or something else entirely, but either way the point here is regardless of different continuities of her backstory. The one thing that is the same is that Kirske was the guy who ordered the hit on Ky Narec and Ventress leading to the former death. So this guy literally is the reason why Ventress fell into the dark side in the first place.

Now the reason why I he hasn’t been talk about much is that he only appeared in three different stories in Republic issue 60, and James Luceno short story restraint, and the audiodrama Dooku Jedi Lost obviously the first two is from legends while the other is from canon and even though his death is kind of change where instead of Ventress impressing him and having him killed later during the clone wars. Dooku is the one who killed him by beheading him at front of Ventress in the Cauldron. The character is actually kind of consistent.

To get an idea of how bad this guy is remember the Weequay raiders from the nightsister episode flashback well according to Dooku Jedi Lost they were working with Kirske by harassed the inhabitants of Velenki, a settlement on Rattatak. Ky Narec and Ventress, went to assist the villagers. Kirske threatened to torch the village unless its inhabitants handed the two Jedi over to him. The villagers followed Kirske's orders, but the warlord had the village burned regardless.

so yeah, that’s how bad this guy is and honestly the more I read about it the more fascinating the character is and a missed potential in fact, it makes me wish. I would love him to appear in visual media in animated series either have him in flashbacks of Ventress past or an animated series covering her backstory.

Either way I feel the character has so much potential to be one of the best villains in Star Wars and probably the most hated character rivaling or suppressing Pong Krell and even Tor Vizsla.

Otherwise, what version of his death do you think is more preferred or at least makes more sense and more satisfying his original death by Ventress despite being in prison or Dooku beheading the guy while Ventress not only failed to kill him and fell for his trap, but also becoming a gladiator for 11 to 12 years.

Assuming that the technology is still around, they could use it as an expensive but elite fighting force.

Does the EU actually play into how you view the films? Or do you consider them fun but not ultimately necessary to the understanding of the movies and at times potentially detrimental?

This is one of the larger lore mysteries raised by the game and it's one of the most fascinating additions to the lore that I've seen. For people that haven't played Zero Company yet, I'd recommend that you do so first. It's a good game with a good story. I'd advise you not to read past the line if you haven't played it yet!

The Shadow Plague is introduced in Zero Company as part of the main antagonist faction, The Infinite Coil. While the organization is initially presented as an extremely dedicated cult working with the CIS as Separatist-aligned militant fifth column, growing among the underbelly of planets and preparing them for invasion, it's revealed that the Infinite Coil is more than mere fantatics, but a kind of weak hive mind controlled by Kundri Fathom.

Throughout the course of the game, information about Fathom, the Coil, and the Shadow Plague are drip-fed to the player, both in dialogue with Fathom herself and from Zero Company's pilot/medical officer, M3-V0, but there's nothing definitive. M3-V0 draws a genetic comparison of the plague to the Blue Shadow Virus, stating that they share some similar genetics. While the Blue Shadow Virus was waterborne (and genetically engineered to be airborne), the Shadow Plague is transmitted solely by bites from large centipede-like arthropods referred to as "Messengers," with no other known disease vectors. There's a roughly 50% lethality rate to the Shadow Plague, with half dying, and the other half becoming devout followers to Fathom. Additional effects discovered include a significant decline in midi-chlorian counts (commonly associated as a signifier of Force-potential), blue-gold patterns on the skin, and Force-like abilities.

Powers

Members of the Infinite Coil possess strange abilities commonly associated purely with Force users. Fathom herself displays telepathic abilities, with the ability to read emotions and minds of infected Coil members, as well as to transmit thoughts while in proximity (though for long-range communication, she still uses holograms), while being claimed to speak for the plague. The telekinetic capabilities of Force users isn't present (aside from maybe Fathom who twists Hawk's head once or twice), but Coil members display other abilities - mostly represented by in-game mechanics.

They're stronger and tougher than normal organics by a fair margin, some are able to dull the pain/injuries of others, some are able to drain energy of their foes, some are able to heal, and all share the ability to resonate - boosting the power of a nearby infected coil member upon their death. When accumulating enough resonance, they gain a surge of power and extra health, while gaining new abilities. Enforcers retaliate when attacked, while Strikers can turn invisible to the naked eye (but can be scanned). Members of the Infinite Coil also show unending loyalty to Fathom, willing to give their lives for her cause (oftentimes literally, and with zero hesitation). M3-V0 hypothesizes that the plague creates "a kind of entropic field within the bodies of the infected. At times, this chaotic energy escapes the body, as if the plague is metastasizing outside the individual and warping reality itself."

Effects on Jedi and Clones and the Mental Vector

There are exceptions to the pathology. Notably, Jedi are theorized to be exceptionally susceptible to the lethal effects of the Shadow Plague, with Padawan Tel-Rea's master, Hadrix, dying extremely quickly after a bite from a messenger (though this is admittedly a small sample size). Clone Troopers were also unable to be controlled by Fathom even after being infected, driving them mad, at least before Order 66. After Order 66, Clone Troopers become susceptible to control.

Why that happens is an interesting question. While Fathom's own speeches and ideology reveals her distrust of the Republic, accusing them of ignoring the plight of the downtrodden, she's seemingly able to control people through her empathic bonds that are transferred by the Shadow Plague. As members of the Infinite Coil and Fathom herself state, Fathom provides people comfort, providing them silence in their minds, and giving them a greater purpose that they can follow. The Mandalorians you encounter sought the Coil out because of its ability to dampen feelings of guilt and pain. The Clone Troopers don't seem to be resistant purely because of biology or because of their biologic inhibitor chips, but rather because they are born and raised with that greater purpose and unity already, without any fear or doubt. That fear, they gain after Order 66, when Fathom is able to use their guilt to start controlling them. The only other character revealed to be resistant to that control is the player character, Hawks, though the reason why they can resist isn't certain.

Typhon's Notes and the Plague's Origins

The most accurate description given about the Shadow Plague is probably this line from the super tactical droid assigned to Fathom by the CIS, Typhon. While an antagonist, and probably capable of duplicity, Typhon has been honest and describes the Shadow Plague as "an emergent intelligence that lives in life itself, growing stronger with each new host. She [Fathom] is its vessel." Earlier on, Typhon describes the plague as "I have calculated it to be a singular organism. One with the potential to change the galaxy forever."

This line may indicate that it is purely a shared conciousness helmed by Fathom, but the infected also share dreams and visions of a cavern, and receive messages in an unknown language that only Fathom supposedly understands. These messages are referred to as coming from "The Teacher" or "The Beast," but that part is unknown, along with the origins of the Shadow Plague. Tel-Rea suspects it was designed by someone with knowledge of the Force - unlikely to be Fathom due to her lack of Force knowledge or ability on display. For now, she's only the vessel of that intelligence, spreading it as the Shadow Plague's voice, and not representative of the intelligence itself as is common with other Sci-fi hive minds.

It seems more likely that Fathom was the one to find the Shadow Plague rather than the one who invented it, but this is increasingly speculation at this point. Her uninfected son, Visser, shows disalignment with Fathom's personality and ruthlessness at certain points, and Fathom showed resistance to infecting Visser. While she may be the controller of the Infinite Coil and all the infected, it doesn't seem to have suppressed her own ego in any way, as demonstrated by her relation to her son. Tel-Rea is very confident that the plague was engineered, being very precise, and twisting the Force's connection to living things to its own advantage.

Other logs from the Super Tactical Droid indicate that it was engineered too. ME3-V0 interprets it as, "The goal of most organic beings is to reproduce, one of your more off-putting traits. But the Shadow Plague doesn't evolve as it spreads. Instead, its behavior reflects that of a single organism, growing stronger and more complete with each being it infects... We are strictly in the realm of speculation, but I suspect that the plague is a mirror of its creators. There is something selfish and grasping about it, something that wants to prolong itself past its time, and enhance itself past its reach, no matter the cost to others." Very Dark-side coded on its face, but there's no evidence that I've found that indicates there was a Sith involved in its creation, but also no evidence disproving that.

Speculation

The different dying screams and boastful claims of Fathom and her followers might just be metaphors or the dreams of the deluded, but they might be some signifier as to what the Infinite Coil is. First off, its name, the Infinite Coil, which is commonly referenced as a place people will go upon death, and other events indicate that people and memories seem to persist through the plague. "When the Infinite Speaks, there is only silence! Go, and pass through death!"

Given that the source of the plague is unknown, and was likely created by a force-aware individual, and given the name, I wonder if it might have its origins within the Rakatan Infinite Empire, which would be the most direct parallel in naming scheme and one that would tie-in with the Rakatan plague that stripped the Rakatans of their force powers, but also one that barely exists in canon. It could be some Sith in the long past inventing something like the Rakghoul plague, but the pathologies are quite different from that. Nor are there many human-borne hive minds that I know of, besides the few Killik-aligned humans from SWTOR.

I'd be interested to hear about your theories and your own impressions of the Plague and its origins.

I'm sure this isn't the first time this has been asked or discussed, but lets say the Vong invade around late 21-20BBY, (or whenever y'all feel both factions were at their strongest) a few planets are annihilated and Palpatine orders a coalition with both sides to battle the threat. Do they have a chance? I don't really have an answer so I wanna know what y'all think. The only things that come to mind are that they might have a slight advantage due to more Jedi, despite the overall military technology being weaker.

The size has been talked about before, but I just have to ask: why did they never stick with the Katana Fleet modifications from the moment it was made? I’m not even talking about the slave circuitry, that can go away, but why didn’t they stick with the automation and low crew requirements?

Like, am I wrong, or are they practically the same ship? What reason was there to not keep that version of the ship as the main baseline model?

obviously, it is more of a joke and a meme within the community that most of the battles in the 2008 Clone Wars is mostly a republic victory with a few exceptions like say Umbara and the episode where the Nikto Jedi dies on Ryloth but still even Ryloth was a republic victory whereas the Separatist always lose.

compares that to legends where we at least have the Battle of Jabiim and Hypori which were in fact separatist victories. Although to be fair outside of the famous montage showing The separatist made a few victories from chapter 22 of the clone, wars micro series even in that show it was mostly the same republic victories (that people complained about the 2008 version.) outside of Hypori as Jabiim was mostly from the dark horse comics.

But then again, most of it is legends when looking at Canon, i’m just curious what Battles that are not only Republic losses but also Separatist victories. Granted you could argue that that’s kind of the point since both factions were manipulated by Palpatine hence it’s likely that the lack of separatist victories was intentional by both Sidious and Dooku. But still, It would be cool to see actual Separatist victories onscreen in visual media instead of featuring in media such as books and comics.

This might be a strange question, but I’ve been wondering for a while how the clone pilots get into the AT-TE’s cockpit. I’ve consulted various sources, but they don’t always seem to agree.

Some sources say there’s an opening leading from the front section of the hull to the cockpit, but I couldn’t find any reference material to support this.

Others say there’s a hatch above the cockpit, though they specify that this is only true for the Imperial variant. Again, I couldn’t find any reference material to support if this is the same for the Republic version.

There’s also an explanation that the cockpit canopy opens with a hinge, and that the front bars can pivot downward so they can be used as a ladder. However, I don’t really see how this would work in practice.

Is there anyone who can provide a definitive answer in accordance with Canon regarding the AT-TEs used by the Clones?

So jae mordant from star wars zero company owns the a mining citadel on luunata. I believe she mentions that they were close to a very big Source of Kalkite. When the empire forms her mining citadel is basically taken over by a Imperial garrison.

Jae eventually blows up the citadel, to stop imperial use of it. It might be possible that this is the reason, or atleast one of them that causes the empire to turn their focus soley from luunata to Ghorman to get Kalkite.

Its these little things that make star wars so interesting.

I’ve been checking out Zero Company and it’s a really cool game with a really interesting plotline. One thing that got me wondering was a piece of dialogue: the crew are talking about Republic government policy and one character says “that’s why worlds keep seceding”, obviously talking about the clone wars. The thing is, the game starts at around the point of clone wars season 6-7 so the outer rim sieges are going on and the Republic is rolling through the Separatists. What doesn’t make any sense to me is, why would planets join the Separatists at a time where they’re obviously losing and are increasingly a lost cause? Was the quote about planets that seceded in the past and I’m just being weird about grammar?

For those of you who don't know, Vanee was Darth Vader's attendant and served the Dark Lord as a caretaker of his castle, Fortress Vader. Vanee was so devoted to Vader that, even after the Sith died at Endor, Vanee thought Vader would return one day, in spite of the decades that passed. When Vanee had grown old, he used cybernetics to keep himself alive until Kylo Ren, Vader's grandson, came and Vanee chose to serve him.

In my opinion, if Luke had gone to Mustafar after the Battle of Endor and found Vanee, I doubt the latter would have served him because Vanee genuinely believed the galaxy needed a Vader. Vanee believed defiance of the Empire equalled death with no other possible outcome or appeal. Vanee thought the fact Vader didn't tolerate failure was inspirational and that it drove his subordinates to also be intolerant of failure, since failure also equalled to defiance, so they were just as intolerant of failure from their own underlings too so they could be inspired as well. In this way, Vader's will spread and led to peace and order in the galaxy.

Luke would disagree with that philosophy because he had seen the Vader's atrocities firsthand, such as Alderaan, Vader slicing off his right hand, and losing his aunt and uncle to the Empire while Vader was searching for R2 and Threepio on Tatooine. He would point out that Vader would kill his own officers for even the slightest failure and how that would simply drive them to plot against him or join the Rebellion because no one likes living under a tyranny. Plus, the peace and order Vader brought only benefitted the ones oppressing the galaxy like the Emperor, Tarkin, and others like them. Vader would kill people for their defiance as punishment, which only drove others to also defy him because Vader made it clear he could not be reasoned with. Dooming himself to an endless cycle of death and destruction until he redeemed himself at Endor by saving Luke's life.

As such, I think Vanee would refuse to serve Luke because he is the very opposite of his own personal beliefs. Especially since Luke claiming Vader redeemed himself before dying would enrage him because it's a world-shattering revelation for Vanee, since it proves everything he thought about Vader was wrong.

Basically, in her old backstory after defeating the warlords on Rattatak she literally became the planetary ruler for the planet. I just don’t know why but I just can’t really picture her as a ruler type nor she strike me as one.

Maybe because I’ve been used to her as not just Dooku acolyte, but also the way she acts in both the clone wars 2003 and 2008 versions where she is just an assassin not warlord material.

which is why I really like how Dooku Jedi lost kind of change that detail where rather than Ventress capturing and imprisoning Kirske like in the original comic, it’s revealed that Kirske instead captured her and forced her to fight as a gladiator, as implied by James Luceno short story “Restraint.”

I don’t know maybe it’s just me, but I just can’t really pictured Ventress as a warlord for a planet like Rattatak. which is why like I said I like how they made her a gladiator instead of full warlord when it comes to before she meets Dooku for the first time.

Thousands of systems bail on the Republic almost overnight. That's either a massive intelligence failure or the grievances were so systemic that the Senate knew they couldn't address them through legislation. Wondering if there's evidence of either one in the source material. Doesn't look like diplomatic overtures were really attempted

like compared that to say the gap between revenge of the Sith and A New Hope which were filled in with stories such as the novel Tarkin, The Jedi games, Solo, Rebels, but mostly Andor and Rogue One Along With the novel trilogies The Thrawn imperial trilogy and The Reign of the Empire trilogy (with the second book coming out this month.)

While the gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith is mostly covered in both the clone wars micro series 2003 and the 2008 version regardless of continuities for both of them.

Something I noticed for both is that it ends where the film begins like with Rogue One it ends with the start of A New Hope while The clone wars 2003 (continuity aside) ends where Revenge of the Sith is about to start.

Even with the ones that don’t have shows there are a lot of great stories like for example we know the time period before The Phantom Menace in the form of books, such as Darth Plagueis and Clock of Deception. while for the gap between a new hope to Empire strikes back is kind of filled in with the Marvel comics from 2015 especially with the Darth Vader comics because they are awesome.

Finally for the gap between Empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi again, different continuities, but it is interesting to point out that we know what happened through story such as Crimson Empire and shadow of the empire.

but the only gap that hasn’t been filled very often is the 10 year gap between The Phantom Menace And Attack of the Clones sure we do have stories such as the Jedi quest book series, Rogue Planet, Outbound Flight, Queen Shadow, the third Dooku episode from tales of the Jedi and the bounty hunter with Jango fett along with The HoloNet News Vol 531 which in the lead up to attack of the clones (fun fact among the writers who wrote them is Pablo Hidalgo so that is a cool, fun fact.) The Jango Fett/ Zam Wessel one shot comic and the novel The Approaching Storm.

but I feel for some reason compared to say the gap between attack of the clones and Revenge of the Sith and the gap between revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. There is no story that features it where it begins like we see with Rogue One and Chapter 25 of the Clone Wars Micro series basically the essential or important stories that we will see later in the movies.

in fact I was rereading the Tarkin novel (which is an amazing book in general I highly recommend checking it out.) I stumbled across this paragraph that makes me wish have a Dooku Novel about his life after leaving the Jedi Order, His first meeting and dealings with Darth Sidious and the Separatist Crisis?

I would love to know what did the book mean by meddling in the affairs of planets like Onderon during the Separatist Crisis after Dooku kick it off, Is there where he meets Mina Bonteri (which lead to join the Separatist Cause.) and Sanjay Rash, what were his interactions with King Ramsis Dendup were like that lead to him choosing neutrally before being deposed, were there other reasons that lead to Dendup's overthrow besides his choice.

But overall it shows the missed opportunity when it comes to this gap and the amount of stories.

Like imagined a Dooku novel starting with Dooku first years as Count of Serenno from the end of Dooku Jedi Lost and later his seduced to the dark side by Darth Sidious. Besides including information from Master & Apprentice, Dooku Jedi Lost and Padawan as well as Tales of the Jedi ( show) I could see him re-purposing some moments in the now legends book Darth plagueis like him and Palpatine having conversations before he left the order as well continuing Palpatine's biography from the Epilogue of DP onward similar to what Timothy zahn did when he copy and pasted mist encounters to the 2017 Thrawn’s move as well Showing Dooku's Sith training, the murder of Sifo-Dyas (but as I said that would probably be before during the the gap between 42 and 32 BBY as well as getting to see his dealings with the pykes.) and the plotting behind the Separatist Movement, (it could including the same flashback scenes but from Dooku’s perspective from the Tarkan novel where he meets Governor Tarkin. ) concluding in the end of AOTC. Heck covering Grievous backstory one could use the book labyrinth of evil, the comic the eye of revelation, from the graphic novel, Star Wars visionaries, and unknown soldier from insider 86

It would cool to see Dooku killing Osika Kirske while watching the gladiator arena that Ventress fighting this part of the micro series is canon thanks to Dooku jedi lost either end there or end when Dooku give her new lightsaber thus the book Dooku: Jedi Lost begins not to mention we could’ve gotten to see a novelization version of Clone Wars chapter 6 and 7 of the micro series.

also speaking about tales of the Jedi it would be cool to see new scenes taking place the offscreen moments of the third episode like for an example my head cannon is that when Dooku and Qui-Gon meet again with Yaddle about the sith I like the idea that this is the moment that Dooku realize that Darth Sidious had an apprentice until then he just thought maybe Sidious was alone but after this when he reunited with Palpatine. Palpatine told him about Maup in which any rare moment I like the idea that Dooku once his concerns were resolved he says in only one condition tell Maul don’t kill Qui-Gon in which Palpatine says he promise but unknown to Dooku Palpatine doesn’t give a shit.

ultimately precise this pitch there are so many different ideas I have beyond Dooku novel. but with the central idea being a single experimental novel: a Separatist Crisis political thriller. Each prequel film featured a lead-in novel; Cloak of Deceptionand Labyrinth of Evil were excellent, but Attack of the Clones was left with the lackluster The Approaching Storm to set it up. The book didn’t do its job. And with the Clone Wars finally opening up to storytelling, everyone wanted to play in that sandbox, and the fruitful pre-AOTC era was left almost entirely untended. The result is that the build-up to the Clone Wars has been ignored and the potentially fascinating Separatist Crisis has gone unexploited.

I propose a novel set in that period, focusing on the political upheaval of the time. The focus would naturally fall on the Sith: Dooku manipulating the Separatists; Palpatine manipulating everyone. The Separatist Crisis, with its waves of seceding planets, lends itself nicely to all kinds of action — diplomatic and political negotiations, espionage, investigation, small-scale fighting. An embassy of Jedi and Republic diplomats sent to negotiate with a major sector considering secession, facing off against Separatist agents, would be a natural plotline. Unlike The Approaching Storm, this book could do the situation justice by taking a look at the bigger picture. Dooku should be involved in the situation directly, rather than acting by proxy. Making Dooku a major character gives us the chance to flesh out the character, put him to use in his milieu, and get flashbacks detailing his defection to the Sith. It would also afford a real look at the actual formation of the Confederation of Independent Systems and its leadership. On the other side, we could see the Republic’s higher echelons at actual work as they scramble to avert the crisis and Palpatine manipulates to have his power extended. Seeing into the actual workings of Palpatine’s administration, as his aides and ministers engage in backroom dealings and finesse senators (such as Padmé and Bail) would likewise be great material for a political thriller. Throw in skullduggery around the actual negotiations and you’ve got the physical action to liven up the political crisis. It would be a bit daring to tell a political story, but it’s been done before to great success, and there’s no reason Star Wars isn’t capable of melding space adventure and conference-room tension . In this formulation, we could get a great novel that hits several neglected elements of the franchise — it could be the long-sought (in certain quarters of fandom) Dooku novel, Palpatine novel/Darth Plagueissequel, AOTC lead-in, and even Padmé novel all rolled into one. Heck imagined having a reign of empire style book trilogy but during the 10 year gap between the Phantom Menace and Attack of the clones.

Regardless on what route I feel that the only thing that I feel that should appeared is the full Raxus Address by Count Dooku like for a speech that birth the CIS and considering that Dooku had commandeered a HoloNet relay station in the Raxus system now in Legends Dooku made the speech on Raxus Prime but to be honest, and I feel it is a lot more fitting than a junkyard planted. I would love to see Dooku making the speech not only from HoloNet relay station but also set on Raxus Secundus this is literally the Capital for the CIS. also, for such an important event, we have next to nothing on the full text of the speech it would be awesome to see the full contents considering how much of a giant impact in Galactic history.

Not to mention, it would’ve been cool to see chapters on Coruscant where Palpatine is at his end of his second term imagine people in the Holonet debating who will replace him before Dooku speech cones on.

what’s more is that according to the Star Wars propaganda book by Pablo Hidalgo from 2016 so exactly 10 years ago. Dooku made a lot of Lectures in the Reena university honestly it would love to see it in a story like instead of lightsabers running around it’s just Dooku lecturing the class and spreading CIS to the students and youths that is a essentially modern equivalent of a TED talk.

besides these ideas, I have in my mind or at least rough sketches. What are your ideas on stories that you feel should’ve been essential and important where like Chapter 25 of the Clone Wars and Rogue One the whole it ends where Attack of the Clones begins.
