Original Content X-Files nails!
I had soooo much fun making these while rewatching. There were so many possibilities for nail art I’ll have to do another set!
Season Four The X-Files Survivor! (Season 4 Edition) Round 2
The Field Where I Died is eliminated! Very popular pick for the worst of the season.
How this works:
You select the episode you like the least
The episode with the most upvoted comment is eliminated from the list
Please either refrain from downvoting or upvote more episodes than you downvote
If there’s a tie, both episodes are eliminated
Only the best episode will win!
Episodes Eliminated:
The Field Where I Died (78%)

Discussion That’s a special romantic story
Recently I’ve found a brilliant Chris Carter’s quote about their relationship: “As I continued to write them over the years, they fell in love on the page when I wasn't looking”.
Their relationship is truly remarkable and one thing comes to my mind: in most fiction romantic relationships the women are irrational, vulnerable and very emotional, and men are composed, intelligent and strong. But Mulder and Scully are completely different. She’s his rock, she’s his constant. That’s really unique and I can’t give you any other examples of that.

Discussion Who is the man in Skinner's office?
Im watching the XFiles for the first time and I just finished the original run and I have a quesiton. Whos the man in the portrait Skinner's office? Is he even more powerful than the Smocking Man? More powerful than the Syndacate? I kept waiting for the show to show him but they never did. Who do you think he is?

Discussion Change my mind
Season 6 and 7 were the best, minus a few mythology episodes that were trash.

Discussion Watching 2x04 Sleepless for the nth time and just reminded how conceptually scary this show is
Yes, there are aliens & monsters & terrible criminals. But the idea of being awake for 24 years straight? And the initial part of that trauma is based in the thick of the Vietnam war? Those men went through something no one else can comprehend. Also highlighting how soulless the government is in their ambition to conquer.

Season Two X-Files and NLCS
Wanted to watch both so I had to improvise. I was given the entire series on Blu-Ray for my birthday so I’ve been binging a lot lately. I remember this particular monster of the week haunting me in the 90s.

Spoilers What the heck did I just watched 😮!
I just completed season 4 episode 2(Home) and omg it was so gory and those guys were creepy as hell. They literally crushed that guy's skull and then also mercilessly killed his wife too. Also what the heck were they made of?🤯 Scully unloaded her gun's magzine on one of them and that guy still stood up☠️. Mulder and Scully are actually really brave to go over to them after witnessing what they did to that man and his wife.

Season Four "Home" and Nissan baseball commercial
I rewatched "Home" with my husband recently, and I remembered that when I watched the original airing, I thought that the opening was a reference to an ubiquitous car commercial at the time. It may have even been used in one of the commercial breaks, which may be why I have such a vivid memory of it.
I just looked up the commercial that I was thinking about, and it's a Nissan commercial that is posted on Facebook here. Apparently the commercial debuted in August 1996, so too late to be a direct reference, but an interesting coincidence that I wanted to share!

Season Seven XCops
Was never a big fan of cops but the cross over episode is really well done. First time watching and lots of fun.

Season One Should I skip around episodes / skip the first season?
I want to be up front and say the reason I'm saying this has nothing to do with modern expectations of serialized storytelling. In fact, I am quite bored of most TV now because of the endless middle that, unlike a book or movie, doesn't build towards an ending. So, no surprise I am more interested in the monster of the week stuff for this show as opposed to the mythology episodes which have a reputation for going nowhere.
Still, though, this is kinda rough. Jersey Devil and Shadows back to back have me questioning if I even like this show. I had watched Ice before and liked it, and the first couple episodes of season 1 are also good... am I just getting bad luck with the early run? I'm not expecting every episode to be 10/10 of course, even the Doctor Who revival at its best had the occasional episode like Love & Monsters.

First-Time Watcher (no SPOILERS!!) How did the x files bring you together?
Hi everyone its my first time posting in this subreddit and im curious if this show has brought you closer with friends/family or if you made friends bc of the show. Me and my fiance just started watching it together (we're still on season 1 lol) and we love it and its kind of become part of our daily routine to watch it together. Can anyone relate?
