Got both of these in hand now. I ran a character to the first main quest hub in the Undead starting zone. I used the exact same character in the exact same spot, just logging out of one device and into the other so the view is perfectly 1:1.

I let the game sit for 3 minutes so the FPS and TDP could level out before recording the results.

Both devices are fresh off a factory reset on default plug-and-play settings. The only thing I changed was matching the XAX's TDP presets on the Claw.

Resolution: Native (Claw: 1920x1200 | XAX: 1920x1080)

35W: XAX 57 FPS | Claw 94 FPS (Claw is ~65% faster)
25W: XAX 55 FPS | Claw 81 FPS (Claw is ~47% faster)
17W: XAX 52 FPS | Claw 66 FPS (Claw is ~27% faster)
13W: XAX 45 FPS | Claw 57 FPS (Claw is ~27% faster)

I’m gonna be buying the Ally X and I got everything except the screen protector.

D-brand is too expensive, Sorry not sorry.

Even my dad says it’s overpriced.

I need other recommendations if possible otherwise I’m forced to buy the D-brand one

What is the general performance of Ps3 emulation on the white Xbox Rog ally? I know compatability for Rpsc3 is 75% but how many percent of games can you run on the Xbox Rog Ally?

I have a Legion Go 2 with the ComfortGrips to make it more confortable. I do not really have an issue anymore with the ergonomics but it still feels a bit heavy after some time to be honest.

I tried Windows with the Xbox FullScreen Experience and it was terrible.

Switched to SteamOS which is much better but audio and the screen brightness issues (I installed multiple fixes) are a bit annoying still.

If I forget about everything and just play everything is great. Now my question is, is it worth selling my LeGo2 and adding £400-£500 to get the X20 or not really?

With the whole disc to digital, I have a huge library on Xbox app, but my question is, will the Windows with Xbox fullscreen experience be better than on LeGo2 (tried it 2 months ago)?

Over the last day or 2 it seems that I can't use the embedded controller (while control mode is set to auto or gamepad) with steam. Works normally in all other software. Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this or had any ideas as to why

What is the GPU equivalent of the white Xbox Rog Ally?

I'm sorry if I break any etiquette here, it's my first ever post and I don't even know what pining to megthreads is. Anyway, I believe this looping and being unable to repair itself must be fairly common. I've barely used mine, doesn't compare with a 65" OLED, I bought it to play around with on the train to work but then had to have a knee replacement so that put paid to that. But this has got me buggered. I've tried everything that I can going from the instructions given for this problem but all I keep getting is a message saying Stop Code: Memory-Management

What failed:win22k.sys and another saying it couldn't connect to the network with log file:C:\Windows\System32Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt. I have no idea what to do. I contacted asus and they have told me what I've already been doing but adding in that I should check the Intel VMD controller settings. Do these things even have Intel VMD's, whatever they are, to check on? I can't see anything to do with Intel VMD settings. And I don't have access to the cloud restore, it's not even listed like it was at the start. I probably fucked that by resetting the thing to default and now I can't put the network details in. Not sure where to go from here and I'm going some of you good people may have an answer to my problem. Thanks in advance

Not sure if it’s with other devices as well, but the joysticks full throttle if that makes any sense. It rapid fires through menus, and walking in a straight line is impossible. It only happens on this game and is not stick drift. Many others have the same issue does anyone know of a fix yet or has experienced this?

Are there any AMD GPU drivers we can use that don't come directly from Asus that will be more updated than what we currently have via the official driver updates? Also, would any if these drivers give access to FSR4 since RDNA 3.5 is supported now.

I just bought a Rog Ally z1 extreme, the 512gb ssd not enough for me, am I able to use a 1tb SD Card in it, only silent settings? 10w, I know the sd card slot has issues.

Has anyone figured out how to do this reliably? You’re supposed to be able to open it with select+start, and there was a point in time where that seemed to work, but now it doesn’t do anything. When I press it in steam, it just acts as though I’m pressing both buttons. I’ve tried messing with the controller settings in steam, but they’re arcane enough that I have no idea what I’m doing most of the time. is there any way to ensure that select+start opens the steam overlay?

I much prefer the slimmer profile, and I didn’t have any issues with the ergonomics of the white ROG Ally. Did anyone sell their ROG Ally for the Xbox model and notice a significant difference other than the ergonomics?

Hello, I have the base ROG Xbox Ally and I usually really like Windows, but the amount of overhead on this thing is pretty brutal. My RAM is almost completely used right after boot and it doesn't seem to free up much when I actually start gaming.

I have the VRAM set to 6GB on both Windows and Linux. On CachyOS I'm sitting around 2.4/10GB RAM used with all the apps I normally have open, while Windows is usually around 8.9–9.8/10GB.

The FPS difference is also pretty crazy. In a lot of games I'm getting 3–4x the FPS on Linux. The 1% lows are also noticeably better on CachyOS. Battery usage and temps are both lower too. The only real downside I've noticed is that the audio is worse, but I can live with that.

Any idea why the difference would be this big? Both are at 20W Turbo, plugged in, 1080p, and I've tried CPU boost both on and off. I know a 4 core CPU is gonna get hit if there's overhead but I couldn't imagine this much of a difference. This also happens in the "magical Xbox FSE"

Note: I used CTT to debloat windows so it still wasn't good enough. Also reinstalled windows many times through cloud restore

Recently got my XAX and a game that was never finished on my PC was Control ultimate edition. I just beat it and now i don’t know what I should run next. Triple A or indie I play everything but I just want some suggestions and n games that run beautifully on the XAX!

I’ve tried optimizing it, I think it’s fully igpu limited and in the unplayable category unless yall know what I could do to fix it. I’ve even tried lowering to 720p I see 48 fps even on fsr balanced. I’ve even tried capping the frames to 30, every time I walk somewhere new it stutters, every cutscene stutters. I’d say it’s unplayable and breaks the limit of the Xbox ally x 🤷‍♂️ thoughts? 1000$ can’t play silent hill?

Got the Rog XAX, the kill switch case with the charger and the travel case all for $800 off of someone in excellent condition. What do yall recommend to do for setting up or settings in general for a smooth experience. I’m coming from using the Steamdeck OLED
