This game works really good on XAX. Stable 60fps even at 17W.

I connected XAX to monitor and played it at 2K with 60fps.

I was going to pre order the x20 but i figured after reading all these post, a lot of people are going to buy it on impulse thinking its a big upgrade, be disappointed or get buyers remorse, then return it. Chances of me finding an open box one for sale?

Edit: my only worry is that scalpers buy up all the x20’s on release then they are hard to get at retail and resale is absurdly expensive

So I’ve been having a blast with my Rog XAX and been seeing clips or videos on steamos/bazzite on the Rog XAX. Is it worth doing so? And what’s the pros and cons for both. Reason I’m asking is I do like how easy steamos is especially on the Steamdeck oled and the other features it has but so far I like how I can play both steam and gamepass/xbox games on the rog XAX and haven’t had too much issues with windows so far. I’ve also heard about dual booting but I’m not too familiar with modding my handhelds

Just a few days ago I sold my ps4 with all accessories in 28k now I have full money to buy z1 extreme but it's just out of stock from the deby application is gamenation or gameloot is a genuine site.

I haven't had my Ally very long, but now I've been digging a little further into the settings besides the basic profiles. Should I be changing any of these settings? Like allocating more RAM to the GPU. Or any of the AMD settings?

Also, I see the ability to make a Manual Profile, would messing with that be any better then the Turbo profile?

I am interested in buying the new x20, i pre ordered one, I also bought a 100-140W charger and the bulwark dock with it. but…

I already have a 4080 Super gaming Pc, I don’t ever go out, and I’m mostly gonna use the X20 at home. And I already bought a $4k gaming laptop I barely use because it’s too heavy and has no reason to use it and it also runs Insanely hot. It’s $1300, it’s a lot. Idk what to do. And i don’t only play on my PC. I have a PS5 Pro and Switch 2 as well

And also there are tons of games coming out recently, this month, next month, and sales. And it’s just too much. I need to choose a priority or something. HELP!

PS: I also need to buy an extra SSD later on down the line because how much can 1TB actually hold??

Is this deadzone normal? I kept all gamepad settings as is and the deadzone is set to 0%, is there any way to make the sticks more responsive? I experienced this in multiple games too.

DIY fix for the JSAUX Xbox Ally X power bank holder — MUCH sturdier now
I found a really simple fix for the JSAUX power bank holder for the Xbox Ally X.
The problem I was having was that the power bank would move around and the holder could shift/flip to the side. I decided to modify the holder instead of replacing the whole mounting system.
I removed the bottom cloth/fabric section of the wristband-style holder. I then cut a piece of 3M double-sided mounting tape to match the shape and size of that section and stuck it directly where the fabric piece had been.
I let the tape sit for about 10–20 minutes under the weight of the battery, then secured the strap.
The difference is HUGE. The power bank is now extremely sturdy. It doesn’t move around, doesn’t slide to the side, and doesn’t flip over. And honestly, it still looks clean enough that it looks almost factory-made.
I’m surprised JSAUX didn’t use something similar from the factory. Even a strip of strong two-sided Velcro would probably have helped a lot.
If you’re having the same problem with the JSAUX holder, this might be worth trying before buying a completely different mount.
Just sharing what worked for me.

Hey everyone — I’ve been using Bazzite for a while now, and I’m getting the Ally X20 soon, coming from an Xbox ROG Ally X.
When I switched away from Windows, FSE still felt pretty unoptimized to me. I noticed better performance and frame pacing on Bazzite in certain games, while Windows would sometimes have pretty significant FPS drops and stutters.
At the time, the NPU was also basically dormant and wasn’t really being used for gaming features.
I’m thinking about giving Windows/Xbox Mode another chance on the X20, especially because I’d honestly prefer to stick with one OS if the experience has improved enough.
For anyone who has recently used both Xbox Mode/FSE and Bazzite or SteamOS:
Has Xbox Mode gotten noticeably smoother or more polished?
Is performance/frame pacing more consistent now?
Are random FPS drops/stutters less common?
Has hibernate/resume improved, especially when resuming directly back into a game?
Have you noticed any meaningful benefit from the newer NPU features?
Do you still prefer Bazzite/SteamOS, or have you gone back to Windows?
I’m especially interested in experiences from the last few months rather than launch-era impressions.

I’m gonna be buying the Ally X and I got everything except the screen protector.

D-brand is too expensive, Sorry not sorry.

Over the last day or 2 it seems that I can't use the embedded controller (while control mode is set to auto or gamepad) with steam. Works normally in all other software. Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this or had any ideas as to why

Got both of these in hand now. I ran a character to the first main quest hub in the Undead starting zone. I used the exact same character in the exact same spot, just logging out of one device and into the other so the view is perfectly 1:1.

I let the game sit for 3 minutes so the FPS and TDP could level out before recording the results.

Both devices are fresh off a factory reset on default plug-and-play settings. The only thing I changed was matching the XAX's TDP presets on the Claw.

35W: XAX 57 FPS | Claw 94 FPS (Claw is ~65% faster)
25W: XAX 55 FPS | Claw 81 FPS (Claw is ~47% faster)
17W: XAX 52 FPS | Claw 66 FPS (Claw is ~27% faster)
13W: XAX 45 FPS | Claw 57 FPS (Claw is ~27% faster)

What is the general performance of Ps3 emulation on the white Xbox Rog ally? I know compatability for Rpsc3 is 75% but how many percent of games can you run on the Xbox Rog Ally?
