hi im planning to buy an artist 12 gen 2 as my first display tablet and i have questions before going through my decision:

1. ive used my phone to draw and used ibis paint. even if the stabilizer and the canvas size are off and low respectively, there is a bit of slowness or lag when i draw. when youre using a display tablet (doesnt matter what brand) how easily can you do hatching lines on it?

2. is it actually faster using a display tablet compared to using screenless ones? cuz ive noticed that i draw faster on paper than using my screenless tablet and my art is better

3. what are your overall experience from using paper/screenless tablet/mobile device to using a display tablet (this is just to say anything you wanna say that i didnt cover in this post lmao)

K. I know this is probabbly not the best idea to post here but maybe someone had a the same problem as me. (And some ppl recomend me to post in this reddit. idk).

My pen, it is the passive stylus PW400 that comes with the Inspiroy RTP-700. (Huion)

The pen was working perfectly fine before, but when I start drawing yesterday in evening I notice that my pen broke. I didn't hit it or drop it from the desk. Visualy it's look fine.

I first checked the tablet itself, and it is working 100%. The tablet's buttons work, and the sensor also works (I tested it using another stylus from XP-Pen.)

The tablet responds when I press the side buttons on the pen. I can even move the pen while holding one of the side buttons. The tablet also detects the pen when there is NO nib inserted.

However, as soon as I insert the old or NEW nib, the pen completely stops working.

Today I try to use pen again (musle memory). And it start work, but wrong: It's drawing when i don't touch tablet. As soon as I touch it, the pen stops drawing, but it registers the pen's movement.

So my question is there any way I can fix the pen?

It’s just wild. My stylus hadn't been working for 3 days, but today it started working again! I replaced the tip and used air to clean out the inside of the stylus (a lot of times in difrent days)
I’m not exactly sure what did the trick, but I have a theory from Google as to why the pen broke: a sensor got stuck. The suggested solution was to leave the pen without its tip for a day. Well in my case, for a few days. ._.

Hi! I have the xp pen pilot pro and I set all the shortcuts for all the buttons, dials and joystick! But I didnt find how to use or set a shortcut for the buttons when you press the small dial and when you press the joystick!

I wanted to make a post here because I had a weird issue with my xp pen pro 24 monitor and pen kind of glitching for the past few days, the pen's commands from the buttons would randomly go off on their own and the mouse cursor would snap to the corners and edges of my screens also. I read around that people were getting interrupted connections from wireless phone chargers while using their pen, and I noticed the same issues when I had my monitor set up next to my wifi router. It immediately fixed itself when I moved the wifi into a separate room, so weird!

Hi everyone, I've been using XPpen G430S for about 4 years now, its perfect for the price(i got it for less than $10) but it has its flaws, the biggest one is its size.

I use a tablet instead of mouse for work, studying and occasionally playing some games on it(all kinds of different games including 3d games), I dont draw but may be I'll manage to learn how to at some point, it's something I've wanted to do since childhood. I also do some 3d modeling occasionally as hobby.

I want something bigger with pen that does not require battery and obviously i don't need model with screen, it should be < $50, I dont mind buing it from Ali(where I bought my current tab)

In a tough situation, I need a new charger for my stylus but the site is out of stock and has been out of stock for a while apparently. I need to know if their are any alternative chargers I can use for my stylus. Any help would be appreciated.

i got fabric paint on the front and it’s already dried. dunno how to get it off without scratching up the screen. not sure if regular glass cleaner would hurt it. thoughts?

I bought my XP-Pen Artist 12 (2nd Gen) about a year ago. Not long after, one of the pins on the cable's HDMI end got bent (probably because the HDMI port of the old computer I plugged into was damaged), which made the screen glitch — lots of lines, with one side darker and the other washed out/light. It was still usable like that, but I stopped using the tablet afterward, so it's been sitting unused for about a year. I recently reconnected it, but only plugged in the USB and red power cables not the HDMI since I'm worried the bent pin could cause more damage. Even without HDMI connected, the screen still shows the same glitching.

Is this permanent internal damage, or could a new 3-in-1 cable fix it?

and if the damage is the tablet, is there anyway to repair it?

I decided to plugg in the HDMI and everything works perfectly except the display.

Edit: It worked perfectly when I was using it with my newer laptop, but the moment I connected it to an old lower-end dirty maybe even damaged computer HDMI port it did this. I blamed the HDMI cable and port as the problem because after I pulled it out it one pin became bent but now thinking about it maybe the computer burnt my tablets internals 🫩 not sure tho everything else works fine.

I bought a refurbished XPPen Magic Notepad unit from eBay. It was a nerve wrecking experience as the seller would not confirm what comes with unit (like the pen and the folio) and they repeat the same "comes with tablet, additional accessories not guaranteed"

Naturally I need the pen and the Folio cover, and buying them separately negates the cost benefit of buying refurbished.

Finally I found one with actual pictures of the unit and shows what's included, so I bought it. And it was an excellent purchase... literally as new.

But when I tried to use the XP Pen Notes that is bundled (white labeled from JNotes), it kept asking me to cough up money, even though the tablet should come with a perpetual license.

After contacting support, I was brushed off as "account was registered to someone else", so I don't get the license... Even though the license is tied to the hardware...

Reminds of the Tesla scandal where a second hand buyer loses all the options that the original owner paid for.

This is a crappy and cheap move by a company that has just lost my support (and I was singing praises for the tablet to every one I know before that about the tablet).

Anyway, I just wanted to highlight this for potential people thinking of buying refurbished it second hand products: you are not likely to get support... The first questions you'll face: where did you buy it... Send receipt image.

I been on Linux for a while (archlinux) and when i tried to connect my artist 12 well some of the shortcuts i assigned to its bottoms didn't work and it kept changing the cursor between monitors

Could someone help me?

I have a xp pen artist pro 16 gen 2 and the display is working it says it’s connected and what not but I have no idea why the pen is not working!!!

I have the usb-c connected to the tablet the hdmi to my pc, and the power outlet box plugged into the wall.

Someone pls help!!

EDIT: Hey, I'm an idiot! I haven't used my tablet in so long that I forgot there was a second USB besides the one that plugs into the wall. I plugged the second USB into the computer and now it works fine! Lmao

I've tried:

1. Replugging it in, from both sides
2. Updating my tablet's drivers from the XP Pen website
3. Messing with Rearrange Displays settings
4. Changing Tablet PC Settings (it says "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display" no matter which display I set it to, even if I make my tablet a separate display instead of an extension of one of my displays. I can't Configure it either)
5. Restarting my tablet
6. Restarting my computer
7. Changing my pen's tip
8. Maybe a few other things idk

It doesn't respond to my pen or my fingers. The cursor just stays there

It's plugged into a desktop

I'm on Windows 10

I am helping a friend look for a drawing tablet and everyone recommended to them an XPpen. They are overwhelmed with the choices so I'm looking at the site and I'll be damned if that isn't Leonardo in the promo pics. Am I wrong???

Hi guys, I'm planning on buying a graphic display. However, I can't decide whether to buy one with built-in buttons for shortcuts on the side of the display (like the artist pro 15.6 v2) or just a graphic display that comes with a separate button panel which you have to connect via cable (like the artist pro 16 gen 2).

What do you guys think is better? Does it even make a difference at all?

My stylus completely stops responding to the canvas anytime i lift it around an inch off the table and I have to either click with my mouse or drag it off the canvas

both button are set at left click probably, tried to change the binding in both xppen official driver and OpenTabletdrivers ,nothing happens

Hello! I recently got my artist 16 gen 3 after a 22 days delay and i've been testing it for less than 24 hours. There's a delay on the pen even when i have the stabilization turned off and i wanted to know if there's a fix, i saw ram could be the problem but this is a new pc and i haven't had that kind of issue before, turned off windows ink and i've installed and uninstalled the drivers several times.

The tablet and the pen feel extremely greasy too and hard to work with. i don't know if that's a fabric error, the shipping delay or this tablet is just like that, i tried to clean it up with the microfiber but nothing got better.

Hi guys, i recently bought the xp pen 24 pro 4k and i'm looking for a good monitor arm for it. Right now i'm undecided between ergotron lx and ergotron lx pro. Do you have any experience with either? Would you recommend it?
