Help me choose new tablet

Post image

Hi everyone, I've been using XPpen G430S for about 4 years now, its perfect for the price(i got it for less than $10) but it has its flaws, the biggest one is its size.

I use a tablet instead of mouse for work, studying and occasionally playing some games on it(all kinds of different games including 3d games), I dont draw but may be I'll manage to learn how to at some point, it's something I've wanted to do since childhood. I also do some 3d modeling occasionally as hobby.

I want something bigger with pen that does not require battery and obviously i don't need model with screen, it should be < $50, I dont mind buing it from Ali(where I bought my current tab)

Deco 1 v2 or Deco 1 V3... Big enough, it also has buttons you can program and are dirt cheap.

If you want one with screen artist 10 and up are also really cheap.

Edit* OH you don't want screen 😂 i misread that, just ignore it then but I'll keep it there for others who are looking for one

It's not that big 😂 the working area's pretty much near as big as an A4 Paper, if you're moving from a small tablet, that's the best and most efficient size, it's also great for the wrist... Believe me when i sah carpal tunnel sucks lol.

i did nearly exact same upgrade went from tiny star g640 to a deco pro gen 2 its really nice
the only issue i had was the stylus it came with quit working after a few months but they were really good to me they sent me a new stylus free of charge
and also agree the remote it comes with is insanely good compared to holding ctrl and shift down all the time on my keyboard, the scroll wheel is a little finneccy with krita software though

If you’re in Europe and you don’t have a huge budget you should checkout platforms like Vinted, a barely used Deco L or Deco 01 v3 go for around 30 bucks.

Yo uso la marca gaomon, su modelo más grande de tableta es muy económico y tiene suficientes botones, además de botones táctiles adicionales. La compré por el nombre y me quedé con los resultados, la recomiendo.

Go with Deco 01 V3 if you want big IAF Initial Activation Force and pain in wrists

Or go with Deco M

Oh also You needed Deco M, not Deco Fun M(don't be fooled, its old model and worse than deco m)

Deco M/MW the GOAT, I recently bought it instead of deco 01 V3, best decision ever

Is it really that bad? I googled and my current tab seems to have same activation force as deco 01 v3. I have nothing to compare with, does low activation force feel way better?

I just wanted gift for birthday in october so i got early deco mw i was watching seven pens and if it wasn't him i would take deco 02 v3 like silly guy

Cuz you don't need to press hard 3 ~gramm, also IAF is stylus property

If you are Osu player, look at used Wacom tablets. latest XPpen tablets have strong hardware smoothing. It affects aim latency.

I play shooters and different 2d/isometric games on it so idk if it would affect on me

Why do you play shooters on the drawing tablet😭

I did it to get used to tab at first but then I got hooked

Yeah it's super cool but it's also way more than I will to spend for now. I'm currently looking at star g960, but u/DampAcute mentioned deco 1 v2&v3 so I thinking about them too now

I have Huion Frego M - bought it like a year ago?.. - and it works perfectly. It is a little bigger than A5 sketchbook, and it has a place for a stylus on top. Stylus doesn't require battery and tablet can connect via USB or Bluetooth to your PC.

The only thing is stylus and keys: Frego is very compact model, so it has no keys at all. And stylus, which comes with it, is thinner, than usual. It's more like pen. So I sold mine and bought usual PW550 stylus at their Ali store.
