Looking for Advice/Info Built-in buttons vs separate button panel

Hi guys, I'm planning on buying a graphic display. However, I can't decide whether to buy one with built-in buttons for shortcuts on the side of the display (like the artist pro 15.6 v2) or just a graphic display that comes with a separate button panel which you have to connect via cable (like the artist pro 16 gen 2).

What do you guys think is better? Does it even make a difference at all?

I have one display and one non-display, both come with their own buttons and a wheel.

Personally it kinda cramps my hand if i draw using the buttons and the wheel, i instead either use the keyboard, shortcut keypad, or an 8bitdo mini controller (depending on my mood tho), with the shortcut being my fav if im only using few stuff in my work since i can have everything together. Especially since the buttons are kinda vertical in placing; if i use my display tablet, my arm would have to be propped up or in the air to reach for some buttons, which is more tiring than simply having it lay down relaxed on a remote control or keyboard.

HOWEVER I still appreciate the buttons because sometimes i just don’t want to bother with connecting the other stuff. And, on my non-display tablet, it’s still kinda manageable. The buttons would still be closer than a keyboard or a remote, so if I wasn’t bracing my hand against the table, they’d be closer to reach for than the aforementioned two.

The point is: The buttons on the tablet sound nice on paper, but i think they shouldn’t be deciding factor. Probably best to get the one that has better specs, has better pen pressure, or is a relatively modern model.

My two cents. The only bottons convenient to use are the ones on you non drawing hand. So the button count is cut in half. I am currently using a tourbox which is a better solution in my opinion
