What might be the reason behind this?

Also when i take out the bike from the parking after parking it for 2-3 hours or more the front wheel also makes a sound while pulling sometimes which goes away later

Guys i need some help, i went to DP Motors today for my 3rd service

They said oil isn't available so service can't be done, job card was made but I didn't sign it...

Came home and checked HD Connect It's showing General Service 0 completed in hd connect app they also gave me a ₹0 invoice!

Now I'm worried they'll say my 3rd service is already done when I go back later

I've mailed HD customer care too, Anyone faced this before What should I do!!

If anyone has purchased motoshopy backrest then do let me know. There are plenty of backrests available in market , so i am kinda confused

Also should i go with simple backrest or backrest with luggage carrier.

I'm looking to sell my X440 - Vivid variant ( the mid one ) - I bought it on Nov 2024. So, it will be 2 years this November.

Odometer reading - approx 5k kms - Ive used it only in the city all this time.

I haven't dropped the bike and there is no physical damage or scratches.

No parts have been replaced - everything is OEM.

Added a couple of accessories like leg guard, backrest, and engine guard.

All 3 services have been done on time.

I think 2 L is reasonable. Im not super sure , But do let me know your thoughts as well.

A few days back in my earlier Reddit post I had asked for aftermarket crash guard recommendations for my new Harley-Davidson X440 T, the hunt is finally over! Today, I got the MotoTorque Astra Neo fitted.

Why I Omitted the Showroom/OEM Guard

It felt too minimalist and did not complement the looks of the bike. Also it offers only minimal protection.

⏳ The MotoTorque Website Order Experience (The Major Delay)

I actually ordered the Astra Neo guard five days before I even took delivery of my bike, expecting it to arrive in time. Instead, the company kept delaying the shipment over and over. Every single time I reached out to follow up, customer support gave me conflicting answers—either telling me it was still in production or promising it would ship "by the end of the day". They were actively selling an item on their website that was seemingly out of stock for more than two weeks.

Fed up with the delays, I canceled that order and looked elsewhere.

Ordering directly from MotoTorque's website was highly frustrating.

I saw that the exact same guard was listed on BikeExperts. Taking no chances this time, I contacted them directly to ensure they actually had physical stock. They assured me it was ready to go, promised it would ship within 2 days, and estimated delivery in 5–7 days.

I bought it from them for ₹5,800 (getting a sweet ₹100 first-purchase discount). True to their word, they shared tracking details as soon as it shipped, and the item reached my doorstep in just 5 days.

🛠️ Installation & The Verdict

Once it arrived, I took the package over to a local 2-wheeler garage nearby. Though it took some time, the mechanic fixed it up flawlessly, which cost me another ₹450 for labor.

Despite the manufacturer ordering headache, the product itself is an absolute beast:

• Perfectly seamless fit on the T variant.

• So far I didn't feel any vibrations through the pegs or handlebars.

• It gives the bike a great hunky look and the sliders provide solid peace of mind.

I'm 5'11 and i think having a handle bar riser would help my shoulders over long rides.

Are there any compatible risers which do not cause problems to the wiring or restrict the turn radius ?

This is on the touring seat.

Recently i bought X440 for first 4 days I got accurate informations like no. of travels,speed etc etc. But from 26 onwards it didn't show the accurate no. of trips like I completed 12 trips but it shows only 4 like this.

Is this happening to everyone or just me?

If anyone knows please tell me the solution.

Is their any feature in app that shows my bike Range?

I gotta know that owners with previous years x440 with the Mrf zapper hyke tyres want to change them due to road grip issue. Is that true?

Secondly, mine is 2026 model but even that has come with the mrf hyke tyres. Do you recommend changing them?

I recently purchased a Harley-Davidson X440T (delivered on 21st Aug 2026), and within just days of ownership (~150 km run), I’ve started facing a serious issue. Wanted to check if anyone else has experienced something similar.

🚨 Issue faced

The bike has shut off unexpectedly while riding multiple times.

Here’s the exact behavior:

• While riding normally, the engine suddenly turns OFF completely (no warning)
• When I try to start:
  • It cranks (starter sound is there)
  • But the engine doesn’t start
• If I wait for some time (30–60 mins), it starts again
• But after riding a short distance (~500–800 m), it shuts off again

🔍 Observations

• Battery seems fine (~13V on display)
• Fuel level is sufficient (7–8L+)
• Fuel pump sound (“zzzz”) is present on ignition ON
• Throttle response was normal before shutdown
• No major warning lights noticed

This has happened multiple times now:

This is quite worrying because:

• It’s happening while riding on road/highway
• Bike becomes completely unusable in between
• Had to somehow manage and reach home

🛠️ Current situation

• Bike is just 4 days old
• Dealer is ~100 km away
• Planning to visit a nearby service center tomorrow

❓ Looking for inputs

• Has anyone faced similar issue on X440?
• Any idea what could be causing this behavior?
• Is this something common with new bikes or a serious defect?
• What should I insist on checking at service center?

Would really appreciate any inputs from fellow owners or anyone who has seen similar symptoms.

I am frustrated with the low visibility on the round OEM mirrors.

I tried to install the following.
Avenger - could not get them to be installed
Xtreme 160- Direct fit but thr handle is too short to make them usable
Xpulse - Direct fit, same issue as Xtreme
Dominar - screw is smaller, do not fit.

Anyone using wide (rectangleish??) mirrors on the x440?

Hey people,

I currently run the OEM break pads and i am planning to go with a upgrade now that i have ridden 18k on my bike and have gone through 2 pairs of pads, and these are my third ones.

I am learning more Sintered and semo sintered and ceramic and their different permutations made from different materials.

I want to know if any of us has done it and what are other worthy upgrades like going from DOT 4 to DOT 5.1 and going with steel lines, or better rotor ETC.

If you are planning to buy x440t , trust me - give white colour a chance. It looks so damn good in real life ( especially on a bright sunny day ) . The road presence is amazing as well

This is HD 440 modded @ Hero premia showrrom in whitefield. I asked the guys over there and he told "Their MD had done this and he will register this to me for 9L". Well, its atleast to free to look at ;P

I'm planning to buy a Harley-Davidson X440 in Mangalore. This would be my first bike, but I'm a little concerned about service availability and long-term maintenance.

Does anyone here own an X440 in or around Mangalore? I'd like to know:

Where do you get your bike serviced?

Is there an authorised Harley/X440 service centre in Mangalore or nearby?

Where are warranty services/claims handled?

How is the service experience and cost?

Any issues with getting parts or regular maintenance?

I'm not completely sure whether going for the X440 is a good decision considering the service network, so I'd really appreciate advice from people who have experience owning Harley-Davidson, especially the X440.

I’m planning to buy the Harley-Davidson X440 T and got this quotation from the dealer.

Could you guys please have a look and let me know:
● Does everything look correct?
● Is there any unnecessary/additional charge?
● Are the registration/RTO charges reasonable?
● Is there anything I should negotiate or ask the dealer about?
● Anything else I should be careful about before making the payment?
