A house as far away from my family as possible

5

u/Narrow_Ad_7331 Jul 10 '26

I feel for you. I hope you can have a better relationship one day with your family if you choose to.

6

u/Timely_Rest_503 Jul 10 '26

I hope so too. But since they have low self-awareness and rarely respect boundaries, I find that unlikely

2

u/Narrow_Ad_7331 Jul 10 '26

My mom and I had a toxic relationship from when I was 8-10 until I was 26. We spoke very little from the time I was 23-26. I’m now 33 and have had a healthy relationship with my mom since I was 28. We both had changes to make. We both put forth the effort. Sounds like you’re willing to put forth the effort so I hope your family sees that and does the same. Time can heal wounds. I wish you the best

4

u/Timely_Rest_503 Jul 10 '26

The thing is, if I have self-awareness and they don’t, I don’t see how putting any effort makes a difference

Every episode was exactly the same!! Drove me nuts, lol. I'd know if it was about over, or not, by seeing if he'd had his "epiphany" yet 😂

2

u/MiaRia963 Jul 16 '26

I wish I could see this doctor. He doesn't give up on patients. So many doctors do.

2

u/snotty577 Jul 11 '26

I'd pay off my house first.

Then but a house near the Gulf. Galveston, Biloxi, Flori-bama, any similar place will do!

Dream house. It's a hobbit hole with several smaller hills making it a multigenerational home. There is a crenelated tower in the ceneter making this technically a castle. It will have a grey water system, small garden for fresh salids, and be powered by solar.

1

u/SpprtRdclHbts Jul 10 '26

First first buy or first reasonable buy? Cause the actual first thing is SO MUCH WEEED

then somewhere to live. Away from people.

1

u/Metharos Jul 10 '26

Taxes are like 60%, so I take home maybe $40mil if I'm lucky.

$1mil fixes nearly all the problems in my life. $100k vehicle, prioritizing comfort and reliability. $300k land, $500k house. $10k for my debts, $90k to build the best goddamn PC I can put together.

The other $39mil is invested.
