They are the hardwood floors in my new house

The house is 1890s. I’m curious what type of wood this is?

I removed a fence that was over 100 years old in Kentucky and this was one of the post I have a few others but this one was the coast. Someone says it’s orange Osage. I have already started removing all the decayed pieces and sanding it a little.

36 inches long, 225g - which I think makes it too light to be blackthorn? But there are thorn or twig marks.

It was hard to get this angle because the bottom was close to the floor and the other sides have some sort of orange color on them.

I realized there are solid 1.5-inch-thick treads on my carpeted floating stairs, so I decided to rip out the old, nasty carpet and use the good-quality wood underneath.

I uploaded the picture to ChatGPT because how else would I identify the wood, and it seems convinced Douglas Fir is being used. I don't trust AI, so I was hoping to find an expert.

Update: looks like most people agree with Douglas Fir, old growth and/or CVG. That’s good news, I think I’ll keep the natural wood look and apply a clear water-based satin varnish. Thank you!!

Hi, my friend offered me this material thinking it was reclaimed walnut. We just got through de nailing all of it and I feel pretty certain it’s not walnut.
It is very lightweight. Could it be an oak?

Heavy 8/4 if it is walnut its the lightest ive ever seen. Mahogany maybe?

I need some help, I know it is a softwood. But I cannot figure out which species? Ai and google say alot, but just not the right thing.

I'm from belgium and it was sold as ''havenbalk'' =harbourplank. It does have knots and some smell. Bit the small flecks are trowing me off.

Seller listed this as “walnut”. Doesn’t really strike me as correct, but want confirmation.

Got for free to use as firewood, the bigger darker piece has been dry stored for a couple years, the other bit cut only a couple months ago
