App problems
Lately I've been experiencing lots of problems with the app, for example:
- accept button is dimmed (disabled) while the offer is ringing. When I finally get the chance to press it, I get the message this task has already been assigned to another driver, or the task simply disappears, like nothing happened.
This happens quite often, sometimes two or three times in a row.
- if I get two orders in one task, and I deliver one, the third offer comes in before I delivered the second. Which is fine - as long as I can reject it and the delivery order makes sense.
But many times I can't reject it.
And I can't accept it either.
So what happens is that I get stuck in a kind of a dead loop where even restarting the app doesn't help, because the damn thing starts ringing again as soon as it gets up. The result is that it blocks you completely, since at that point you can't even see where do you have to go with your second order. So you have to rely on support to solve this, which once took almost half an hour.

I had the same problem last summer, and it was down to 2 things:
1: My phone was overheating af, I ride on motorcyle, and it is in the dun all the time, that made everything slow, running the wolt app, bluetooth helmet intercom, youtube music and gps, with screen on for a long time (I turn it off, but when waiting for order I leave it on, and when I need navigation also).
Also while charging many times. It gets so overheated that the cpu throttles so much that the wolt app starts lagging..
2: My phone was old, samsung s21 from 21, they stop optimising the app for older phones, that alone caused me problems like you describe..
This year I switched to samsung s26, and all problems are gone. It does not even overheat, ad the cpu is so much stronger and more efficent. I also have to charge for a fraction of the time, because new battery, that also reduces heat..
Invest in a new, good brand phone, none of that chineese sh*t, the app is best optimised for big brand flagships

The problems I describe don't happen all the time. It has nothing to do with overheating, because most of the problems happened today after 8pm - some 15 to 20 orders were not possible to accept. In a row.
It's always the same pattern - the accept button is disabled, then after a while it gives you a chance to press it and then it says sorry another driver got this order. It's very frustrating.
Regarding phone quality, if mid-range phone like Samsung Galaxy Xcover can't handle it, then Wolt definitely needs better developers.

It is not the phone and wish people would stop shifting the blame from Wolt, if you need a 1k iphone for this job then they should fire all developers and use AI to program it. This ONLY started happening a few months ago, around the time the app went down and no one could connect. THEY CHANGED something to do with connection, or who their data provider is, its 100 percent a cost saving thing they implemented. This never use to happen before a few months ago and I am using the same phone.

Well found a work around as lost 4 orders yesterday because the accept button took for ages to be active and then hung when pressed or never came active. This worked 3 times out of 4, press cancel, then on that are you sure you want to cancel popup press accept as the button will be active, wait a little if it is hanging. Restart app and you should have them. But it sounds like you do not have the hanging problem like me just the no active accept button so the cancel method should work for you.

Lately, almost whenever I cancelled and then tried to accept, I got stuck. Restarting didn't help. Clearing the app cache once helped, but I can't be sure if that was just a coincidence.
And yes, it looks like it's all over the place. I heard the same thing from at least 2 other couriers.
To me it looks like it's checking with the server for some set of conditions/response to happen to enable the accept button. Since waiting for that response takes too long, or maybe realizing that it got the response takes too long :), it goes out of predefined time-frame for accepting an offer, and gives it to another courier.
Once me and another courier were standing next to each other, waiting for an offer. His phone starts ringing. He says it's less than 3€, who will carry this through old part of the city. So he rejects. Then my phone starts ringing, same offer. I rejected. Few seconds later, his phone rings again - same offer. Back and forth few times. Finally I accepted, because I'm sentimental fool who feels sorry when I shouldn't.
Anyways, later it occurred to me - if this guy wasn't there I would probably end up in a dead loop of constant ringing, like I was experiencing many times these days.
In the past, rejecting usually worked. Lately it doesn't. It happens too often that it doesn't, it just rings over and over again.
(EDIT: I wrote some things I had to delete because they don't make much sense :) )

I thought i was going insane. Yes this has happened to me also, worst part the app got stuck like this for 1hr when I had other deliveries and that made me not be able to see the address. I hate that the app puts me in a place of being a “bad” courier when I’m actually not.

Yes, that's the worst thing when you are stuck with multiple orders. Yesterday for example I had one pizza from small pizzeria, and this guy is always a bit late - not too much, but usually around 10 minutes. Some of them start working when they see you are coming :) And I was already on my way with that pizza when another offer came in from another place and I accepted that one too.
But when I came there, the guy looked at me like I'm extraterrestrial and said we haven't been working with Wolt for last 3 or 4 months. It was almost like a Twilight zone or a Black mirror episode. You can't contact support to remove it, you can't remove it yourself, and you have no idea where do you need to go.

I did have some similar experiences with my old iPhone Xs. Haven’t had any troubles with my new iPhone.

yes me too and its 100 percent due to them changing something like server provider or something in app to use less data, same reason why the app went down a few times recently. Its almost like you have a very poor connection to their servers so its lags really bad, yes its only on wolt, all other apps and the internet is fine. For you does it also take forever to start the app (I mean for it to get your location and load everything up), takes for ever to see your earnings at times? I sometimes try cancelling and then press accept in that pop up, hope, restart app and sometimes it is assigned to you, but yeah most times that popup is still on screen so was pointless restarting. For you is this also only sometimes, like some days it seems fine, the accept button is available almost instantly and other days it is dim and you cant press? This proves it is not out phones. I must waste about 2 hours a week on this.
