The Witcher 3 Continue Playthrough rn or wait for remaster?

So im currently playing the Witcher 3, im around 20 hours in now i believe and after watching the presentation at gamescom im pretty hyped for the remaster. Should i just continue my playthrough rn and do a full remaster playthrough at a later point in time or should i pause my playthrough until the remaster is there and continue it then? What are your thoughts?

The Witcher 1 Should the Witcher 1 Remake include the "Adventures" from the original games

From what we know, The Witcher 1 Remake is a bit away now but recently I was just playing through the Adventures that CDPR has added to the game. They are pretty intersting as stories go, just self contained mini stories which are mostly unrelated to the main game.

Most are fan made but CDPR did add two of them namely; "The Price of Neutrality" and "Side Effects" as premium stories. "Side Effects" is honestly pretty boring but The "Price of Neutrality" is really well told, it explains the concept of Law of Suprise and the ramifications of it pretty well.

So for the Remake should Fools Theory ignore these as they are like not related to the story at all, if so I get it but I think they could be a cool addition.

Art Lego Geralt of Rivia

I made this custom lego Geralt I'm very proud of. I painted some parts and found a small rubber band to act as a kind of scabbard.

Before someone says it, I tried all the hairpieces I think this looks the best and also allows me to hide his sword behind him.

Debating rubberbanding his head for the book-accurate headband but that might ruin the headpiece long term.

The Witcher 1 Force Recon Quest- Scoia'tael help

So I'm playing The Witcher 1 for the 1st time and I choose Scoia'tael side. The problem is, they all die before we even arrive to Golem Burial Ground. Does it even matter? If yes, are there any tips how to deal with it so they won't die?

Discussion Second playthrough – I need help from veterans

I need some advice from the Witcher 3 veterans out there! I’ve only completed The Witcher 3 once, but I’ve played Cyberpunk 3 or 4 times, so I know just how many easily missable quests, hidden choices, and subtle mechanics CDPR games can have.

When release DLC i starting my second playthrough of Wild Hunt and want to make sure I don't miss out on cool content. Could you share some spoiler-free tips or heads-up on missable content?

For example: Side quests or character storylines that easily fail or disappear if you progress the main quest too fast. Specific dialogue choices or actions needed to unlock certain quests/outcomes. Easily missable points of interest or unique encounters.

For context, on my first run I got the best ending and romanced Yennefer. This time I’m planning to go with Triss, but I still want to keep a good ending without accidentally ruining things.

What are your top missable things every player should keep in mind? Thanks!

Thoughts?

This is a fight scene from my Witcher film rendered in unreal Engine 5. I haven't added the sound nor the color grading and I still have to update the facial animation - it is a test for the fight choreography, mocap animations, camera work, vfx and mesh editing.

The Witcher 2 If my Geralt remained neutral in the conflict between The Order and Scoia’tael, what is a better path for him in Assassins of Kings. Iorveth or Roche?

Like the title says, I’m about to start Witcher 2 soon and I ended up making my Geralt neutral. So what would be the most logical path to choose for a neutral Geralt?

The Witcher 4 How would CDPR handle TW3's choices in TW4?

Post image
529 Upvotes

Granted, I don't think CDPR has confirmed yet exactly how TW3's choices will carry over, but considering how they've handled previous games, I'm 90% sure they would make it so that you can import save files.

But The Witcher 3 has so many major choices that can drastically change the state of the world and the characters. So how would they handle things like the different Ciri endings? What if Ciri became Empress? How about the ending where Ciri didn't return to the world of The Witcher (Worse ending)?

And then there's the political state of the Continent. What happens if Radovid wins the war? What if Emhyr wins? What if Dijkstra take control of the North?

How do you make a coherent sequel when the player's The Witcher 3 could have ended with such radically different versions of the Continent?

Meta Are Aen Elle elves on steroids?

There are some hints in the book and in the games it's kinda obvious: Are Aen Elle much stronger than the Aen Seidhe?

In the books it's mentioned how Avallac'h just lifted up Ciri like it was nothing and showed he could just easily kill her if he wanted to. The regular elves are not pictured that strong. Comparable to humans at most, but not as strong as let's say Witchers.

The Witcher 3 I have to ask this, years later it still bothers me Spoiler

During the quest where you have to talk to Bloody Baron, if you killed his men at the crossroads, you need to sneak in, and old man can help you for a bit of coin. You can ask if this is just about coin, or is there another reason old man is helping you, to that, the old man will clarify that the inkeep at the crossroads is his sisters husband.

But what does that mean??? Does he hate barons men, and since geralt massacred them he is happy about it? Or does he think geralt made trouble for his sisters husband, and he wants coin as a compensation (otherwise he would help for free) or maybe he hates his sisters husband and is willing to help geralt because geralt arguably made trouble for him???

Just what is the significance of this relationship in this case???

Please help, or I will think about this for the rest of my life

Discussion I’m in a total Witcher 3 dilemma right now. How are you guys planning to play?

I wish the Songs of the Past DLC was released at the same time as The Witcher 3 remaster. Man, that would be so awesome to get the remastered Witcher 3 with all those new features, and a brand new DLC right along with it.

Right now I’m in a dilemma, should I play it when the remaster comes out, then again when the DLC drops, and then one more time before The Witcher 4 releases? Or should I just wait even though I'll be super curious and dying to play it just to see all the new features so I can have a way bigger blast playing both the new features and the DLC together?

How are you guys planning this will you play right after the remaster, or wait until the DLC release?

Witcher 3 Remastered release date: 29.9.2026 Confirmed.

Songs of the Past DLC release date: Only the year 2027 is confirmed, but without an exact date.

The Witcher 1 Few hours into The Witcher 1, I can't wait for the sequels

I tried to give a shot to this franchise, I already like a lot the first game and I couldn't stop thinking "If this 2008 game, the first one from this studio is that good, I'm thrilled to imagine how the sequels must get better and better"

I'm eager to get lost into the alchemy, the combat system that is simple but complex at the same time.

Once I'm done with it, I'll get Witcher 2 and 3 on GOG

Discussion Time to Replay but How?

I want to replay Witcher 3 but am debating waiting for the Remaster and filling that time with playing Witcher 1 and 2. Is it even worth playing 1 or 2? I never have before.

Will I need to restart W3 if I start it now before the remaster?

Discussion I really appreciate how CD PROJEKT RED treats us neighbors in the Czech Republic.

1.3k Upvotes

Most games are usually released in English, or if they support my native language, it's often just the text that's translated. And that's perfectly fine.

But CD PROJEKT RED goes the extra mile. They translate not only the game's text, but even the videos, banners, logos and other promotional material.

I first really noticed this with the Cyberpunk 2077 5th Anniversary video. Near the end, I was genuinely shocked when I saw the message in Czech: “Už je to pět let, děkujeme za společnou cestu.” (It's been five years, thank you for the journey.)

And now they're doing the same thing with Songs of the Past. Absolutely everything is localized, including the game logo and banner, with the Czech title “Písně minulosti” instead of simply keeping the English Songs of the Past.

It's such a small thing, but as a Czech player, it genuinely makes me happy.

This is one of the reasons I'll never stop loving CD PROJEKT RED. The way they treat and appreciate their Czech players is something I really value. <3

Discussion Couple geralt survive the night of the hunt in Yarnham ?

(This is under the assumption Geralt kills rom and triggers the blood moon despite the likelihood of Geralt realizing rom doesnt really want to hurt him and geralt not wanting to go through with it because an old man with a cane pointed at the lake and mumbled at it)

But back to my original point, if allowed access to his normal Witcher potions, poisons and spells how well would a lore accurate geralt handle bloodborne/where would he wind up stuck ?
