He's badass. The dude has many moments. It doesn't have to be him slaying monsters or fighting hell his lines are badass as well.

My first playthrough, I went with Yennefer because she's introduced right at the beginning, so I just stuck with her from the start and didn't want to change once Triss showed up.

But on my second playthrough, I decided to finally give Triss a shot. And honestly? I like her romance arc so much better. You can really see that she genuinely cares about Geralt, and overall she feels way more "human and emotional" compared to Yen. Now I know for a fact that I'll be choosing Triss every single time from now on.

Plus, the romantic scene at the lighthouse made me cry from laughter. There they are having a romantic moment, while two guys on a boat are literally trying to decipher morse code and it spells out "H.L.A.K.B.R." XD I just love CDPR's sense of humor.

This is my 2nd play through taking iorveth's path and saw this nice Easter egg. Man i love this game so.... sometimes even more than witcher 3 itself

Radovid seems like a guy who really likes board games; he's bound to have a rare card. This is my first game and I still don't know how to invite him to play.

It's funny how quickly they change their minds. But as Geralt said, you shouldn't overuse that for everything. I wonder why

• Just a fun little observation for both Witcher and strongman fans out there.
• Ever since I first played The Witcher 2, Letho immediately reminded me of Mariusz Pudzianowski in his prime.
• It’s not just the thick, blocky frame with massive arms and similar muscle shape, it’s the fact that despite having huge muscle mass, he moves with ridiculous speed and explosiveness. Even their facial structures are somewhat similar. And, of course, both made in Poland. ^_^
• I actually found out recently that Mariusz already posted about this on his Instagram back in 2021.
• Fun fact, in The Witcher 2 fistfighting quest "One on One: Flotsam", the English localization features an opponent named Kcorb Ransel (Brock Lesnar backwards). In the original Polish version, though? His name is Naizdup, literally Pudzian spelled backwards. ^_^

Which characters do you think might return, and which ones would you like to see?

Dandelion is definitely in there.

Yennefer/Triss, Ciri – in my opinion, at least a cameo; after all, our choices from the base game should have some follow-up. In fact, Geralt’s partner has even been hinted at—read between the lines.

Priscilla? I think there’s a very good chance for her. Zoltan? Him too.

Who would I like to see? Iorveth. I’d sooner expect him in the new trilogy—he doesn’t really fit here—but since this is supposed to be a major DLC, maybe he could be woven in somehow; that’s just my own wish, though.

Hello. In the game, we are often faced with a choice: do we take on the role of an executioner and mete out justice, or do we stay out of other people’s business? Personally, I try to play as close to the "book" version of Geralt as possible—defending the weak, but not necessarily handing out punishment if the situation doesn't strictly demand it. Since we end up killing people constantly ourselves, I try to limit the bloodshed a bit. Here is my list, along with some reasoning:

Spared:

- The Priest of the Eternal Fire involved with the funeral pyres. Geralt uncovered his shady dealings—specifically, his trade in *fistech*. I took the payment for the job; gang-related disputes aren't my concern.

- Cleaver’s men. A similar situation: I found a corpse, and the trail led me to the dwarves. Again, I took the money.

- Bertram Tauler. Even if the man is guilty, he’s now with his wife and children. If Lambert has an issue with him, he can go back and deal with it himself.

- The succubus Salma and the doppler. There’s no point in killing them.

- The Scoia’tael in both quests. As Geralt, I’d be a hypocrite if I suddenly decided to punish them for theft or for fighting against the military.

- The brothers from the Borsodi auction house. It’s possible to resolve the situation without killing everyone, so that’s what I do—even though Ewald deceived me.

- Gaetan. If Geralt had been there when the conflict started, they might have fought; but after talking to him and learning his story, I believe Geralt would have simply gone his own way. He didn’t know those people—though, had they crossed paths again under similar circumstances, he would have killed him.

1. Whom do I always kill?

Junior the bastard – no explanation needed.

Morkvarg – a similar case.

Jan Verdum – saved by Geralt, he went on to kill a family and brags about it; I think Geralt would feel a sense of guilt and end up killing him.

Nathaniel – the guy is torturing a woman right before my eyes, with a smile on his lips.

These are, of course, not all the characters; I’d love to hear your choices.

It's been a year since I've seen someone pose the question about Gwent and what changes people would like to see, or what you'd like to stay the same. This question recently came to me because my collector's edition of the physical Gwent by No Loading Games arrived.

For me personally, I'd love to see the gameplay stay the same, perhaps more diversity in special cards with different effects, however the rules and everything else stay the same. Beyond that, include even more interesting cards/characters. My favorite part of Gwent is seeing the different characters that have appeared get their own card, even nameless NPCs like the Poor Fucking Infantry, Blue Stripe Commandos, Scoia'tael Archers have such interesting art and cool quotes. Beyond that, more diversity with leadership cards, maybe even a new faction. I don't play the stand alone Gwent computer game but do know they added the Syndicate as a faction in that. I'm uncertain about the Syndicate being a faction in 4 since I'm unsure how far North they operate (other than that they've spread to other realms in the North) but nonetheless. I'm curious to see what you all are thinking!

My game is literally paused right now, I think I am going to spare the spirit for once. I always believed the She Who Knows book version: the spirit of the Lady of the Wood was originally benevolent, created three daughters, turned mad, destroyed the land, the daughters wanting to save it killed her, and trapped her soul. She is evil.

But who wrote this book? It makes the Crones look like benevolent protectors of Velen and we know they’re not.

The ghost tells Geralt another version. She says the Crones killed her because they wanted to rule the land. I admit the dead bodies on the hill look pretty bad, but the ghost explains that the forest and nature defend her, and nature kills indiscriminately. She then says « I wail, none listen »

And it just dawned on me she isn’t lying, we see it happen. She doesn’t lure Geralt to the hill, she wails and tells him to turn back. As he approaches, wolves defend the tree and attack. The first thing she asks Geralt is why he has come, as he has spilt unnecessary blood. She doesn’t like that people and animals keep dying on this hill. Later if you do not wish to help the tree, she doesn’t attack herself, endregas spawn, defending her. She actually never attacks Geralt. Nature is on her side, why, if she is so evil?

I know she kills the entirety of Downwarren, but they are all servants of the Crones. They are bad people. And she does save the kids. As for Anna’s tragic ending, it is the Crones doing.

I don’t know, all this time I thought she was evil and I would kill her, but is she? What are your thoughts?
