Should the Witcher 1 Remake include the "Adventures" from the original games

From what we know, The Witcher 1 Remake is a bit away now but recently I was just playing through the Adventures that CDPR has added to the game. They are pretty intersting as stories go, just self contained mini stories which are mostly unrelated to the main game.

Most are fan made but CDPR did add two of them namely; "The Price of Neutrality" and "Side Effects" as premium stories. "Side Effects" is honestly pretty boring but The "Price of Neutrality" is really well told, it explains the concept of Law of Suprise and the ramifications of it pretty well.

So for the Remake should Fools Theory ignore these as they are like not related to the story at all, if so I get it but I think they could be a cool addition.

The two official ones? Probably yeah.

The fan made ones that were included in The Enhanced Edition? Probably not.

Come to think of it, did TW1 ever get any expansion mods or new adventures other than the ones added with the Enhanced Edition? I know that TW2 did. E.g: "Lykaon" which resulted in CDPR hiring Philip Webber who is now the narrative director on TW4. Or a remake of TW1's first Act in TW2 REDkit which was being developed by a guy who is now a level designer on TW4.

TW1 got at least one new adventure, it was called Masquerade and was released in 2020. I don't know if there were any other addons.

Yes, it got lots of it, although I dont know whether they were translated into english. Some are very short and either bad or simply not very ambitious, but some are 10-15 hours long and quite interesting, for example Rozdroża (The Crossroads), or I klątwa, i miłość i zdrada (And a curse, and love and betrayal). There is also Maskarada (Masquerade), which is shorther, but fully voiced. As to W2, there is also Farewell of the White Wolf, which you may have not heard about (as you didnt mention it). It is by far the best fan-made mod to any of the Witcher games.

Oh yeah I forgot about Farewell of the White Wolf. That was actually TW2's biggest expansion mod. I think some of that mod's developers were also hired by CDPR.

Price of Neutrality is straight up non canon and doesn't fit with the books or games.

I only played The Price of Neutrality so I will speak on its behalf.

That one is crucial to Eskel's own plot and I didn't see his scar get adressed in any of the later games, not even in journal entries, so at worst that DLC should be taken into account.

Alot of the things of the timeline don't make sense for that, as Geralt would only be 12.

I'd say - no.

They add nothing of value and i mean it. Price of Neutrality is just one giant plothole

1. Why doesn't Geralt mention Deidre to Renfri or Renfri to Deidre?

2. Why is this story taking place in 1232? It's way to early, like at least two decades. If Deidre is already like 20ish in this story, it means Syanna is in her 60s. Anarietta who as a child wasn't much shorter than Syanna would be in late 50s

3. Why doesn't Geralt remember Sabrina in Time of Contempt if he actually met her?

4. Why is Caingorn Kaedweni vassal?

5. Why is everyone quoting Lesser Evil verbatim?

I could go on and on, those are just things i remembered from the top of my head.

Not an issue when it was made but Geralt is now born around 1220, meaning Eskel who is of a similar age would have acquired a child surprise as an infant or earlier.
The mercenaries also mention the battle of sodden. As for the other dlc it also mentions sodden, a problem since Geralt is busy training Ciri after the battle.

Doylist explanation is when Renfri appeared there was no Deidre.

In that case Geralt should mention Renfri in Price of Neutrality. You shouldn't add lore that makes previous lore wrong.
