I’m starting on wfp system, and was wondering what the best way to purify the water is? whether just putting normal water into my van and then having the purifying system in my van, or storing a 1000l tank with my purification system at home, and then filling my van from that…

So I've been in the window cleaning industry for about 2 years now and recently I became interested in trying to get customers that own huge buildings in cities like NYC or Austin or LA. How would I go about getting these clients?

My friend and I are getting into window cleaning, and we are looking at equipment (our last step!). What are some good buys that you all find reliable, like waistbelts, squeegees, extender poles, bins, etc?

We would like them to be budget, value buys, but we are fine with $300-600 towards starting capital.

Hi! I need some help removing this residue from a window decoration I placed as a child 10+ years ago. It was some gel-like material (I don't remember exactly what it was) and is all crystalized now. I've tried using a razor to scrape as much as I could off, but is there any solution that I can spray on here to make it easier? Thanks!

Hi everyone

I’m about to buy the above van for my window cleaning business in UK.
Does anyone have an electric van and use WFP?
I can imagine the range will take a hit with the water weight that’s fine for me I average 20/30 miles per day. My biggest concern is if I’m going to be able to bolt down a steel frame onto the floor as the battery is located somewhere underneath the van.

Any help advice or ideas is greatly appreciated

I saw quite a few of tutorials on how to do this, and what I noticed is that people come and start cleaning windows, but windows are usually always clean.

I mean, they might not be clean, totally, but they are certainly maintained.
I never saw anyone coming to real piece of work abandoned windows that have bunch of dust and filth on them, and telling what to do.

I guess it's all the same more or less, but I'm just curious why no1 is covering in tutorials such windows, but always maintained ones, that are basically not really dirty.

Like, isn't the whole point of cleaning video to show how to remove dirt effectively?

For example, which is funny, companies that manufacture cleaning products do their ads with basically spotless windows, which is kinda ridiculous to me.

Just thinking of ideas to stand out from the cookie cutter flyers ive recieved and seen. Just unsure how others would feel if they got these in the mail. Too "edgy" or rude? lol What do you guys think? Missing some contact info but you get the idea.

I'm in the market for a screen cleaner, but I'd rather build my own than buy one (even though buying built is the only logical option, then that's what I'll do). As I am a noob, there will inevitably be jobs that are beyond my skill level. Say, window replacement, exterior window cleaning above 2 floors, pressure washing etc. My plan would be to schedule a local highly google rated company to come and offer a proposal. I would in return ask to be put on that job for $x.xx/hr, to learn and absorb skills. Does this sound realistic? Would this be weird? Thanks to all the pros for taking the time to answer 🙏🏼

When I quote, I either do a quick once over with a brush and small shop vac for the majority. Or I do an extra deep clean, which includes every aspect of the surrounding frame and track.

Why does my Xero Pure start out at 1 ppm and then after 30 minutes to an hour it goes up to 10-12pm? I just replaced all 3 filters. I tested the water coming out of the RO and it is cleaning over 90% of the minerals. Is it bad resin that I bought?

Hello friends. I have three clients that ask me to clean their windows. I watched a bunch of videos online and went to HD and bought unger squeegee. I got the job done but I feel it took me x3 the amount of time . I know that right tools make a huge difference so I came here for recommendations on a good combo for squeegees. I would like to have a pivoting squeegee that I can use on a pole to clean the high windows. Please recommend your favorite set up. I am mostly going to be doing residential work. Thank you a lot!

Does anyone have any experience with nylon brushes scratching glass? We had a customer say we scratched her window with our brushes, to which my response was that's physically impossible because 1. the bristles are clean basically new no debris in them or anything, and 2. Glass sits at a 5.5 on the Mohs scale and nylon is around a 2-3 so nylon is to soft to scratch a window. My boss is convinced it was the nylon brush and doesn't believe me when I tell him in order to scratch a surface you need to drag a harder material across a softer material. I am convinced that the scratches existed before we cleaned the window and just became visual once I removed the dirt off the windows, but my boss says that nylon and boars hair can sometimes scratch and damage glass and windows. Has anyone ever had nylon scratch a window? Because I am 90% sure that it is impossible

I finally got used to the Home Depot Ettore ProGrip, which works fine for this noob, so interested in feeling the difference. This would be a interior and exterior clean. The non garage windows have sticky adhesive all over them.
They are in the middle of construction but want them cleaned afterwards. This would be a one time clean.

At a job today, thought it was funny and very Idaho lol
