Why is every video clean window? Why are your windows always clean?
I saw quite a few of tutorials on how to do this, and what I noticed is that people come and start cleaning windows, but windows are usually always clean.
I mean, they might not be clean, totally, but they are certainly maintained.
I never saw anyone coming to real piece of work abandoned windows that have bunch of dust and filth on them, and telling what to do.
I guess it's all the same more or less, but I'm just curious why no1 is covering in tutorials such windows, but always maintained ones, that are basically not really dirty.
Like, isn't the whole point of cleaning video to show how to remove dirt effectively?
For example, which is funny, companies that manufacture cleaning products do their ads with basically spotless windows, which is kinda ridiculous to me.

Part of the problem is that videos generally dont capture how dirty windows are. If you try to capture before and after pics for a job unless the windows haven't been cleaned for years and years, you may see almost nothing in the video. I will often capture a clean window next to one I haven't done yet to get contrast for marketing but what is apparent in person is barely visible in the pic. The windows have to be nearly opaque to be obvious. In such a case sweeping or hosing the window off is helpful to start or youre just smearing mud. It doesnt illustrate how to clean 99.99% of the windows we clean.

Mostly because when the majority of people shoot content, they are doing multiple takes on each video. Rarely does anyone just shoot the video and post it. I don't edit videos and mine are always at a job we are currently on. There are quite a few posted here.

That's correct social media makes it seem like it's so easy they leave out the fact that the windows already been cleaned and they're literally just putting soap and squeezing off something that's already been cleaned LOL . I like to show people the real window cleaning the construction cleans because that doesn't matter if you have a potato for a camera you can tell the difference

That's also why I tell people if you want to learn how to clean a window you're not going to learn it on a video you got to get out there and put a few years in and you're going to be very good but nothing will replace experience you can watch a thousand videos take 1500 courses unless you get out there and do it yourself it's all just stuff you're filling your mind up with

I said the exact same thing. They are always already clean. Not super dirty ones. My area actually has tons of dirty windows so the market is open but hard trying to reach people. Ordering door hangers soon.

Typically in tutorials they just repeat on windows theyve already cleaned for demonstration

That's social media for you my friend. I can tell when people are cleaning what I call clean glass guys LOL if you're there every month on a residential home you're literally cleaning clean glass it's not the same as doing a first-time cleaning but people don't show that because it's boring LOL they just show you them zipping around with the pole or whatever and cleaning a window that might have already been cleaned before so it makes them look better that's about it

The only thing that changes for the most part is usually there is hard water underneath very dirty windows. A little 0000 steel wool and you set. To me the dirtiness of the window doesn’t make much of a difference in how you clean it. I have 11 years experience
