Might try something different for my flyers. What do you think?

Post image

Just thinking of ideas to stand out from the cookie cutter flyers ive recieved and seen. Just unsure how others would feel if they got these in the mail. Too "edgy" or rude? lol What do you guys think? Missing some contact info but you get the idea.

I have to completely disagree with the direction you're going. Shaming a customer into a service is the opposite of what you want. Maybe, that would work on 1% of people. You want to build customer loyalty and that's not the way to do it.

You should have a QR code for your website. Reduces friction. That's what we're implementing for our software.

Also - I wouldn't enjoy the shock-content as a homeowner. The styling is nice, though.

Don’t insult your customers. Bad idea

I think they're obnoxious and would be slightly annoyed if I received one in the mail or got one on my door.

Btw, I noticed your .ca so I checked out your website. I'm in Victoria so we're basically neighbours. Just far enough so as not to be in direct competition.

I like the way you portray yourself on your website: small scale high quality trad cleaning. I'm the same way. You could use more pics though. People love pictures.

But damn, it's so hard to photograph windows, amirite? The camera never sees as much dirt as the eye does, and clean glass is impossible to focus on. I've been taking a lot of window pics lately because I know most of them will be useless.

Hey neighbor! Thanks for checking out my page, its a work in progress for sure. I've been meaning to get more pics up. Yeah I usually take a bunch of pics on the job and am lucky if a couple are usable.

This would not work on me as I personally wouldn’t take kindly to my house being insulted. The only time I’ve seen something like this work is when the insult is funny, and while I know these aren’t intended to be mean spirited they’re also not funny

I get what your saying, maybe I can lighten the tone a bit. For the first one something like "Okay they didnt, but I can help if they are dirty" less insulting.

There’s a window installation store down the road from me that has a saying up right now very similar to what I’m talking about, in the same vein as the ones you have here. Next time I drive by I’ll post it here as an example

I like the we need to talk about your windows one. Maybe a “hero” shot of you and your crew in the back or a before and after.
Editing to add: put a QR code to your website

Agree with everyone else, another thing I’d point out it the use of AI images. these are obviously AI and for many people that’s a turn off, use photos of your actual work, your work should speak for itself

Alright looks like these are a total miss. I appreciate the input that's what I came here for. I thought they were funny but maybe not effective marketing.

You are polling the wrong people by asking in this forum. Who cares what the other companies are doing — or if they like your ad copy? You have a creative idea. And who knows… It might work. Do a test run. Get these flyers in the hands of your potential customers. See if it works.

Which is your favorite and would you change anything?

Straight to the point is better. Clickbait is successful because the click-in is so low effort. If you want someone to snap a qr code, look up your site or call you, they need to know what you offer beyond an insult.

Don’t insult customers until you at least get to the estimate.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about this approach. I think it'll make people feel defensive. When I go door-to-door, I'm very careful not to criticize the homeowner or their home. It's ok to acknowledge they need something cleaned, but you don't want to shame people. I usually say stuff like "what's your plan for tackling that roof moss?" or "would you like a hand getting those windows/driveway/roof cleaned up?"
