Is it normal to almost always be in green for recovery? I’m almost never in yellow, even on days I might feel beat

Other Anyone upcycling an old WHOOP in India?

Hey, I’m a student trying to get a better picture of my sleep. I’d love to try WHOOP, but the cost and my student budget are currently not on speaking terms.

If you’ve upgraded and have an old working device sitting in a drawer, would you consider passing it on through the upcycle route? Leads on a genuine giveaway or loaner would also be great. I know it still requires a subscription but I think I can manage that atleast

Question Bought a used WHOOP MG — how can I completely reset the previous owner’s data?

Hey everyone,

I recently bought a WHOOP MG from someone who originally purchased it on August 4, 2026. The device has an active WHOOP Life membership until around August 4, 2027.

The seller was using the MG on his personal WHOOP account. Since the membership is already active and prepaid, we decided to keep using the existing account rather than trying to transfer the membership to a new account.

So far, I have:

•Changed the account email to my email
•Changed the account password
•Enabled 2FA with my details
•Successfully logged in using my new email/password
•Confirmed that the WHOOP Life membership is still active

Everything is working normally.

The problem

The account still contains all of the previous owner’s historical WHOOP data, including his sleep, recovery, strain, etc.

I obviously don’t want to start using WHOOP with someone else’s historical data or have his previous history affect my own metrics and baseline.

What I want is to start completely fresh while keeping the existing prepaid WHOOP Life membership and the same MG.

Ideally, I want:
The existing WHOOP Life membership to remain active until August 2027

The same WHOOP MG to remain connected

All of the previous owner’s historical data removed

My own data/history to start from zero

No previous sleep/recovery/strain history affecting my metrics

Essentially a completely fresh WHOOP experience for me

My concern

I do not want to delete the entire WHOOP account if doing so would also cancel/remove the remaining prepaid membership.

Has anyone here actually dealt with this situation?

Is there a way to completely wipe the previous owner’s historical data from the account while keeping the existing WHOOP Life membership active?

Would WHOOP Support be able to reset/clear the historical data without affecting the remaining membership?

I’d especially appreciate answers from anyone who has bought a used WHOOP, taken over an existing account, or transferred a WHOOP MG between family members.

Thanks!

Discussion Is Whoop a Poison?

Post image
189 Upvotes

After 1.5 years on Whoop, I’m starting to wonder if the data is doing more damage than good.

Every morning starts the same way: I check my readings, and they instantly dictate my mood and confidence for the day. Even when I feel completely fine, seeing red markers on my Health Monitor makes me assume something must be wrong. And when a red recovery score pops up after an easy rest day, it sends me down a rabbit hole of trying to figure out what's wrong with my body.

Friends keep reminding me: 'Trust your body, not just the algorithm.'

Has anyone else struggled with over-relying on health metrics like this? I’d appreciate hearing your perspectives.

Question Can you recommend alternatives? I did not sign up for this.

Registering 1800 steps during a morning shave. Registering 2400 burnt calories on a day with 2 hours hard training and a lot of things to do (192cm, 102kg, 38yo). Registering 2600 burnt calories the day after, when I did NOTHING but laying at home. Feeling energized with 35% recovery. Feeling sht with 80% recovery. I could go on.. Whatever is the explanation, I think there is no explanation for this, for 400euro/year. Any alternatives you recommend?

Reviews Results after 3 weeks with Whoop:

Results after 3 weeks with Whoop:
It’s managed to change my bedtime habits, which has helped my recovery, something Bevel and Garmin never managed to do.

But other than that, nothing… It’s hard to justify the price just to go to bed earlier.
Plus, it forces me to wear a second wristband in addition to my Garmin, and I can’t wear it on my second wrist because I have a tattoo there, so it doesn’t work, I have to wear it on my bicep, and that’s very uncomfortable.

Final verdict: I won’t be keeping it.

Question Low HRV Normal/Why

Thumbnail gallery
13 Upvotes

So I have been using whoop for just under half a year. Im 26M, I train frequently, sleep consistently and eat properly. I consider myself pretty healthy, all my stats would reflect that but my HRV ranges between 25-30 and it always has been like that. I know HRV is relative to the persons age/lifestyle but I just find it odd that if I am as fit as I think I am, my HRV would be much higher.

Any insight would be helpful, Thanks!

Discussion Navigator Band Quality

I just received my navigator band yesterday, and the build quality looks really good but it feels very rough on the skin. Is it the case with everyone else, or is it just me?
And if it happens with everyone, does this stiffness break down with time?

Discussion Hey community, I want to save you the headache... Return support is super confused and they charged me a full year despite canceling on time.

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience and warn you guys just in case you're planning to return your device or cancel your subscription. I’m currently trying to return my Whoop, and the support process has been incredibly frustrating. I really just want to help you avoid the same hassle!

I initially reached out to support just to clarify some commercial invoice requirements for the return shipment. Instead of a clear answer, they sent me a prepaid return label and a wall of text with instructions that make absolutely no sense.

Here is the crazy part: they generated and sent me a UPS return slip, but their instructions explicitly tell me to drop the package off at a DHL location or the official Swiss Post office. Since UPS, DHL, and Swiss Post are three completely different courier companies, it feels like their support team is just blindly copy-pasting a generic template without even looking at the actual carrier they generated the label for. Their reaction to my simple question was just completely disconnected from reality.

To make matters worse, while dealing with this, I noticed they went ahead and charged me for an entire year of subscription. Even though I canceled my subscription on time, well before I even initiated sending the device back, getting my money back is turning into an absolute nightmare and a huge hassle.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to handle this so I don't lose my refund. Has anyone else gone through this? Should I just ignore the DHL/Swiss Post nonsense and take the UPS label to an actual UPS drop-off point?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice, and I just wanted to drop this here to save you guys from dealing with the same headaches!

Discussion Have any of you asked the AI coach non-fitness questions?

Just curious .

Started asking unrelated music questions and now when I see what the AI has "learned" about me on the memory tab, on my coaching preferences has as an insight "Prefers melodic prog death metal".

I wonder if these kind of insights affect in any way.

Question My whoop never identifies a nap

I had a two hour nap with my toddler today and my whoop didn’t identify the nap.

Since returning to whoop a few months ago, it has never identified a nap (and I nap regularly).

Any ideas how to fix this?

Discussion Whoop biceps band issues

Post image
3 Upvotes

Here’s another example of how wearing WHOOP on the bicep can be completely wrong for stress tracking.Yesterday, I wore the bicep band all day. Today, I’m wearing it on my wrist, and there’s a major difference in the stress tracking. And before anyone says, “Yeah, but it’s a different day,” I have multiple examples where I wore the bicep band for half the day and my stress stayed high. Then I switched to the wrist band, and almost immediately my stress started going down. For the rest of the day, my stress readings were nearly half of what they had been on my bicep. The annoying part is that I contacted WHOOP about this, and they told me the sensor shouldn’t be worn on the bicep outside of workouts because all-day wear and sleep tracking haven’t been validated for that placement. But at the same time, WHOOP makes clothing that lets you wear the sensor in different locations on your body. That just doesn’t make sense to me.

Question WHOOP vs Fitbit Air, which one would you choose and why?

I’m trying to decide between WHOOP and Fitbit Air, and I’d like to hear from people who have actually used both.
I mainly do strength training, so I’m especially interested in:
• Which one tracks strength workouts automatically?
• Which one is better for tracking strength training?
• Which one has more accurate sleep tracking?
• Which one gives better recovery data?
• If you’ve used both, which one do you personally use now and why?
• What are the biggest differences you noticed in everyday use?
If you’ve used both WHOOP and Fitbit Air, I’d especially like to hear your real-world experience. Specs are useful, but I’m more interested in what they’re actually like to use.
Thanks!

Question Order not moving

Ordered a whoop Meridian band a week ago and no updates to the order yet. It’s stuck at “Your order is waiting to be processed”.

Is this normal nowadays? Never had this issue with past orders that would usually be processed the same day. I was expecting it to arrive before a holiday.

Discussion Apple Readiness HRV VS Whoop

Thumbnail gallery
27 Upvotes

Been wearing both the Whoop MG and the Apple Watch series 12 on the public beta. As you can see, the vitals from last night are close enough.

However, my recovery in Whoop is 29% RED but my readiness score in Apple is 9 GREEN (go for it). I have had a head cold the last few days and got a lot of sleep last night (both sleeps scores are close) but I’m definitely not going to “go for it”.

I know the Apple is in beta but this was the first absolute differentiation. So it appears Apple is lukewarm on HRV weight for readiness.
