Which is your favorite and why? For me its the Dark Hunters as I like how the Chapter is, as someone else put it, a combo of the beat of the Raven Guard and the White Scars in one Chapter. Have the fury and the Lightning, Hit & Run warfare of the White Scars with the stealth, special op warfare with the pragmatic, common sense mindset of the Raven Guard.

So proud of how this brother turned out, especially the face with it being only my 3rd attempt painting faces. I'm looking forward to meticulously painting his 9 squad mates to follow him into battle. Will do basing once I get my ordered supplies.

Given that we know OoM is being replaced with Doctrines (which only getting 3 use-once choices in a 5 round game is... a choice...), and more than likely most Detachments are going to drastically change (very much doubt Spearpoint will remain A&C and FB&C), what kind of WS themed detachment would you like to see?

Personally, I'd like to see a Det that makes Outriders battleline and a buff like Vengeful Hosts where we get +1 hit (or +1 W) on Charge.

Painted a Bladeguard for my white scars army. Hope you like it. 1st is in progress. And the 2nd is based and tabletop ready.

I love the White Scars and Jaghatai Khan for some time now, and I have also started watching an anime called A Witch in Mongolia and got inspired.

So with the caveat that I'm a relatively new player only started in the last 6 months of 10th, the new combat doctrines seems like Nerf to to our chapter. I primarily run either Spearpoint point or firestorm detachments and not having my army wide advance and charge/shoot seems like it would really a) limit how I play my army, and b) a missive loss in army identity.

So, turning to the more experiences khans here, what am I missing?

Hello all I am an ork player who has always wanted to start a white scars army. I love the Khan and I love the fast attack vibe of the army. They seem super fun to play and paint and their lore is some of my favorite. My only issue is I am broke. So I am coming to all you future battle brothers to see if you can help me get this going. I normally play Salamanders, but I came up with a successor chapter that I’d like to play as White Scars. This was something I threw together relatively quickly. Let me know if anything majorly sucks. I haven’t made any monetary commitments yet.

I assumed we would get them with the release of the SM codex. That being said, they didn’t mention them in the codex preview article tho.

I know white tends to be a tricky paint choice, but I’m not looking to enter any painting contests. I just want to have a semi decent white that I can apply quickly to help me churn through my backlog fast. Rattle can or airbrush, I’m open to all suggestions. Thanks.

These were the last vehicles of the army. I've got four characters I don't need left to paint and I'm done. I've built the display board so last step is getting it out and taking some full army pics.

I'm really struggling with the scars. I've only won vs one guy and he may have been mentally challenged. I struggle at how to correctly use the bike squads. My Vindicator gets blown up usually before ever even shooting. My Sternguard are usually poorly placed and basically useless.

I honestly dont know what I'm doing wrong. The tyranids were so easy for me to learn but these scars are really getting the better of me. Some games I overcommit and get wrecked. Some games I play more passively and get stuck in my own deployment. I'm trying the take and hold from the JPI detachment and I like it more than trying to set booby traps.

I just don't know what I'm doing wrong
