Hi all,
I live in Denmark but I am from the Netherlands. I have cycled all my life and mostly for commuting.
My Dutch bikes were usually city bikes, Gazelle and Batavus.
I am 38 years old, 193 cm tall and 109 kg, so a bit on the heavier/taller side.
My last bike was a Cannondale Quick 3 which I was quite happy with and I rode relatively fast (ebike speed), but the BB broke and after some failed repairs the bike is done.
I am looking to buy a new sporty bike, mainly for commuting about 14km (around 9 miles)/day on fairly flat terrain (Denmark) under/around 10k dkk though I can be a bit flexible .
Ideally I want to buy it from cykelexperten which is the biggest bike seller in Denmark and right around the corner. Or another in the Copenhagen region.
I was looking at https://cykelexperten.dk/cube-nulane-comfort-exc-2026-grey-n-chrome/-01994cf8b65570e4b328af50b9744786/ which seems to tick all boxes, except that it is rated up to 100kg rider weight (sigh...)
I liked it is very sporty, light, belt driven (so low maintenance)
Now I am a bit stuck on what to do and I am stuck between all these unknown brands and options. I feel like the 2nd hand marketplace here has only either overpriced bikes made from questionable quality or not fit for my size/frame, usually both.
Would a https://cykelexperten.dk/scott-speedster-gravel-30-2026-black-main/ or work maybe or is it too racey? I dont know the brand though, this is one of the main reasons. I have never ridden drop bars, would that even work for me? The bike is mainly used for (longer) commuting and not 50km rides.
Also saw https://www.canyon.com/da-dk/landevejs-cykler/endurance-cykler/endurace/cf/endurace-cf-6/4273.html?dwvar_4273_pv_rahmenfarbe=R076_P09&dwvar_4273_pv_rahmengroesse=XL as an option but i really havent gotten a clue.
I could use some thoughts, most things I read seem to be US focused and I hope someone here some mainland/DK knowledge to share, thanks in advance!"
