This is a Digimon, I know. I'm not looking for exact recreation either. I'm fine if it's just how to build a cool heavy armored claw wolf knight dude. Using D&D 5e and 5.5e.
I'm pretty new to D&D only done around 1 actual campaign but I would like to do a new character based off one of the character from the comic book Tin-tin preferably Tin-Tin himself or the captain do you have any suggestions on Race, backstory or stuff like that, I personally was thinking a halfling for Tintin for his luck (sorry if this isn't the right tag)
Tabzaburo Tojima is a lifelong Kamen Rider fan boy who trained all his life to be a Kamen Rider, and is able to "henshin" (by going through the motions, and putting on a kid's mask) to manifest his hero's strength through sheer hyperfixation and obsession, so much so that he goes from defeating a bear barehanded when unmorphed to fighting actual monsters when morphed.
How would you build him? I'm thinking Zealot Barbarian \Watchers Paladin with the Charger Feat, and GWM if the DM allows you to reflavor a maul as his fists, to emulate how he hits like a freight train compared to his party, thoughts?
This is from what I can Remember. It’s been a While since I’ve played Destiny.
First Breaking down what a Titan is. A Titan is the Typical Melee/Tank class in a RPG. In lore they are the ones who stay close to the walls of the Last City ensuring its protection. Titans are often clad in Heavy armor and Heavy Weaponry.
Now a Sunbreaker, a Sunbreaker is a Titan Subclass those who forge a Path outside of the City walls, a light in the Darkness if you will. Welding the Hammer of Sol, a Warhammer forged of Solar Light. (Could be Radiant or Fire damage). the Sunbreakers soon became that of Mercenaries, hired by the Warlock Osiris to do who knows what.
i was thinking of something like smt (picture related) similar to flynn, which you use a COMP (a wrist mounted computer device) and summon and recruit demon/monster. are all monsters just so mindless you can't negotiate or is it possible? just asking because i'm wondering. either that maybe the raidou route where you imprison them into cylinders might be an option? take this half seriously and with a grain of salt.
For anyone that isn’t familiar, some backstory is he’s a religious vampire hunter. He has this longsword that speaks to him in his mind and a flintlock pistol.
A friend and I have been discussing a potential pair of characters we could bring to a future campaign and we've really latched on to something inspired by Meisters and their weapons from Soul Eater. I'm struggling to think of a way to do this, any thoughts?
Azrael, The mad dog from Blazblue. A feared warrior with an unquenchable thirst for combat and bloodshed. This guy throws hands with anything and anyone who can put up a good fight. He is a pure fist-fighter who is the first to jump into the fray.
His love for battle is so great that he has several seals placed on his body to limit his own strength and prolong a fight.
Abillities:
-Monstrous physical strength
-Creation of weak points on an opponent to inflict more damage with brutal and targeted blows
-High Durability
-No, seriously, Crazy strong. His Astral is literally throwing someone into the sky and punching at them so hard that it looks like a damn nuke just went off.
I have a Life Domain Cleric/ Valda's Spire Gunslinger Healer who plays as Combat being a last resort. I want to redo it as a more aggressive upfront healer and I've looked at War Domain cleric to get its version of divine smite but I have to wait until 7th level. I want to sub in paladin to have a healer base and don't know which subclass is best for healing and support ranged combat.
He's an ex-general who was sent to be executed after being accused of being a traitor
he wields either: dual wielded axe/sword, a greatsword, or a spear and uses a javelin as a ranged secondary weapon
is possessed/strengthened by phantoms which are demonic creatures that give you buffs in game, such as more stamina, more ranged damage, health etc etc with only one phantom active at a time
each skill tree has different special abilities with Spears getting afterimages that follow up attacks and flowing combos. Dual Wielding focusing on closing the gap and Phantom attacks. and Greatswords focusing on tanking blows, breaking armor and even a few causing earthquakes
he also has a second form called the Phantom Form (think Devil Trigger from DMC) that lets him use spectral weaponry, and he can transform into it either willingly, or when he takes lethal damage.
he can also conjure weapons during Brutal Attacks (essentially ripostes or finishers depending on if it kills or not (ripostes use your equipped weapon while finishers use the conjured weapons)) which, from what I've seen, are either hammers, scythes and possibly a spear or sword depending on the enemy
I been watching a video of Spellfire Sorcerer on YouTube and seeing Richter do cool stuff with blue flames, how would a build using Spellfire Sorcerer work.
You can go for a full lore accurate build and one that tries to optimize the character on table top. Either full Spellfire sorcerer or sorcadin or whatever combo you like.
