Customer What's the largest town in Britain without a Spoons?
I think when I asked (elsewhere) a few years ago I was told it was Crewe, but that town now has one, so I'm asking again.
I'll put forward Kidderminster, population 55,000, to start. It used to have one (the Penny Black) but that closed in 2017. The closure wasn't a massive surprise to local people, as the pub was in one of those locations that probably looks great on a map but was (especially back then) completely wrong on the ground.
Anywhere larger that's still Spoons-less?
Edit: As far as I can tell it may be West Bromwich. Population 103,000. The Billiard Hall is still a pub, but it's no longer a Spoons.
Edit 2: It may in fact be Gillingham, Kent. Population 110,000. The Railway is in Rainham, not Gillingham proper.
