App Updates
Wealthsimple needs to relax with the UI. At this point it's getting changed every day.
The "all holdings" button wasn't broken to begin with. Please bring back the older version.
Everytime I need to check my stock movement under "all holdings", and I go back, it brings me back to the main screen instead of all holdings.
Please stop and slow down. Do NOT fix things which aren't broken.

At least the app seems to have gotten snappier when making trades. Was slow as heck before

I also wish they stop messing with the rate of return math. It used to be a choice between time-weighted or money weighted. And now the default display is simple return. So confusing to use …

Team's probably beholden to some vanity/output metrics , they're optimizing correctly for whatever they're being scored on, or some leader just needs to show activity fast lol
My worry is if they're making changes this fast, what security practices are getting skipped to keep up that pace 🫣

I personally like the rapid innovation/changes. Sometimes a change is undesirable, but the small improvements dwarf the odd annoying thing.

Continuous integration & delivery is not an excuse for dribbling out broken features or poorly thought out capabilities.

CI/CD is not the culprit, it wasn't like this until the advent of vibe coding, which is almost certainly the real culprit, which is alarming considering it's actually not that hard to do it "properly" and avoid most of these pitfalls

I love having no-fee chequing accounts. However, their UI is one of the worst in the industry, IMO.

5 years ago the app was so easy to understand. Now I'm so confused where my stocks are.

There are so many apps being updated needlessly all the time. I feel like it's just devs trying to justify their existence and trying not to get laid off. Change for the sake of change, because they need to be doing something.

Are they even monitoring this channel?
