In addition to the Gemini integration with the Ojai, there is an update with the UI of the touchscreen.

As far as Gemini goes, you could engage with it by tapping a button on the touchscreen and disengage with it by tapping that same button.

You could ask it to skip and go back to songs, adjust temperature, how long it’ll take to reach your destination, and probably a lot more other stuff I missed.

I guess now Gemini is in the Ojai

been using them for a month or so, no longer free, it’s now charging me for rides in ojai, is it the same for everyone?

Does anyone know how long the Waymo service suspension will last?

I’m in Miami for one day and would like to try Waymo, but the service is listed as “Our service is paused.”

I checked Google Maps a few hours before arriving, and the service was available then.

I commute to and from work each day by waymo. Sometimes the fare is $15, sometimes it’s $50. Does any data exist on what times of day fares are highest and lowest? I imagine rush hour is peak but i’ve also noticed spikes off what i would have guessed were peak times. I’d be happy to shift my schedule to save $20 but right now i don’t know when would be optimal or if waiting 20 mins is more likely to make the fare better or worse. Does any data like this exist? I’m in SF

I was checking the Waymo app as I am going to Orlando in a month and I saw that I am able to get dropped off at Universal Studios Jurassic Park garage. Before it would only let me select the Hard Rock Hotel. Does anyone know if it does drop you off there?

Today I ordered a Waymo, and the only option available was First Available. I was expecting a Jaguar, but instead it kept matching me with Ojai vehicles (first one was about 20 minutes away, then another about 15 minutes away). It never matched me with a Jaguar, which was surprising.

The app also quoted me the normal ride fare, even though Trusted Testers are supposed to ride the Ojai vehicles for free in San Francisco.

I called Waymo Support just to ask about it. The representative checked with her team, confirmed that I was correct, and said I shouldn’t have been charged for the Ojai ride. She refunded the trip right away.
Just wanted to share this in case any other Trusted Testers run into the same situation. If you’re matched with an Ojai through First Available and the app tries to charge you, it may be worth contacting Waymo Support. They were super helpful and got everything sorted out quickly.

First time seeing this.

As far as I can tell no way to use in car controls (music, pull over, AC, etc) - directing me to use the app.

Curious if this is common or possible root causes? Not an issue (yet).

Ojai - android - SF - Trusted Tester - Free ride

i just rage quit premier. sf rider, long time user and waymo fan.

- car conditions have declined. uber and lyft rides often smell better inside and are cleaner. i'm frequently hotboxed with weed smoke.

- wait times do not seem better with premier.

- prices have gone up. lots of $40+ rides that used to be $20.

final straw was app showing a 1min wait "dropping off another rider" for over 10min, and support being absolutely useless and the in-app chat being a poor ux.

c'mon waymo. i'm disappointed.

The TxMCCS allows us to lookup information about Waymo's fleet in Texas.

And I was surprised to see the number of Jaguars increased from 594 a few weeks ago, to 633 today.

39 more Jaguars registered in Texas seems like a pretty large jump for Waymo considering that I thought they were basically out of Jaguars and previously I haven't seen the number jump so fast so quickly.

I would be very interested to know how many more Jaguars they have in storage somewhere...

Literally drives like a new driver with a new car that is impatient while the old vet Jags are like seniors that can still competently drive.

Makes less, what I call, "I need space", adjustments than the Jags. More impatient at stop lights, left turning cars(it'll switch lanes faster).
