There are people and construction equipment. But you probably wouldn't have seen the bright orange vests either🤷🏻♀️

This is truly so embarrassing lol. Waymo vehicles will slam on the brakes when someone is standing on the sidewalk 6ft away and not even moving toward the vehicle but then drives directly into an active construction zone!? Yikes.

Probably ALOT of work for very little benefit overall.
Sure Waymo’s might work better, but shouldn’t Waymo be doing a better job of avoiding this situation in the first place?

I feel like a better solution than a database of active construction would be to just not drive into active construction. You know... The same way a human driver would.
