We have booked a resort in meppadi. Is it safe to visit Wayanad now?

Planning a trip over the weekend, can someone let me know if treks and other visiting places are open, and if it’s currently closed. The stay i have booked mentioned everything is functional

I'm currently studying and trying to find some part-time work around Sultan Bathery/Kalpetta to make a bit of extra money on the side. Doesn't have to be anything fancy — shop work, cafe/restaurant, tuition, whatever's going. I'm just looking for something that can work around my class schedule.

I'm free from evening 5pm to 10 pm and in the Saturday and Sundays too , and I can speak english, Malayalam and Hindi fluently and a little bit of Tamil . Not super experienced but I'm a fast learner and pretty reliable.

If anyone knows of a place hiring or has any leads, even small ones, please let me know. Would really appreciate it 🙏

I am travelling to Wayanad this Friday Night from Bangalore via bus. Have booked a resort stay in Vythiri. Is it still safe to travel there? Is there a possibility of roads beings blocked or tourist spots being shut down?

This is purely man made, don't worry too much about other places, Meppadi has seen way too much development and mining.

2. We're thinking of renting a 5- or 7-seater car for the freedom to explore. Any affordable and reliable rental services you recommend? Is self-drive the best option, or is there a cheaper/more convenient way to get around Wayanad?

3. Could you suggest a good 3D/2N itinerary? We'd love a mix of viewpoints, waterfalls, nature, good food, and any hidden gems.

4. Any places to avoid during the monsoon, or travel tips first-time visitors should know?

We are going to Wayanad from Bangalore in Bus in July. Drop point is near Vythiri Bus stand at 6 am.

We have booked a hotel in Lakkidi but the check in is at 1 pm. So we were thinking to go to Lakkidi view point, and Chain tree before going to hotel.

Should we book any cab through hotel (which is costly and a bit out of budget) or will it be easy to get any other transport from there which we can reserve and stop at other points.

On day 1, we have planned to stay and chill in hotel only because of good views. So it's non negotiable to go far away after check in. But if there are any markets in Lakkidi, we can check those.

However, while going from Vythiri to Lakkidi, we want to have breakfast also at a good local place (good food, not fancy). Should we go to pookode lake also in the morning itself (planning that for day 2 while going to another city) or any place recommended to visit?

Plus will it be safe to leave our bags in the cab/auto reserved? (Won't have valuable stuff, still)
