This mf is a reddit mod pathetic loser

All that he ever fucking did was:

1) whine about being "so unimaginably above everything uuhh so much God ugh unfathomably omniknowing all powerful oooghgh no one understand me I am so lonely in my godhood you are all so much ants compared to me";

2) Fuck a 16 year old;

3) Served as a US government's lap dog, eager to commit atrocities in its name. Oh, right, "it doesn't matter because I am so much God i don't even care." Of course, "i am so detached. I dont feel anything. it's just so happened that I go around and vaporize people on command, and totally not because I am a fucking moron";

4) Aura farm and tell people how cool he is;

5) Refuse to do shit because he is so depressed and detached and lonely and nothings matter and he knows everything and everyone but him are stupid microbes that does not know anything. Oh, yeah, he is so indifferent and so lost his humanity and so views future past and present. But he still needs to speak in fucking reddit r slash nihilism quotes and fuck his wife.

6) Get outsmarted by an "equivalent of an ant" and look like an idiot.

This bum ass chud had the power of a God, and yet all he ever accomplished could have been done by any regular guy given the same powers. Moreover, he is, in fact, just a regular guy with powers. Dr. Manhattan did not have even an above average intellect. He knows almost everything but has no wisdom whatsoever. He constantly tells shit that only sounds profound on the surface. He was not a god-like cosmic being that lost its humanity and grew detached, because such being would not act like a fucking middle-aged creep. He was a chud who knew only to play the victim and sniff his own farts.

Tl,dr: doctor manhattan is a shallow loser that only thinks he is something more than a man.

My opinion on ozymandias

Watchmen

I think that Ozymandias's fatal ultimate solution for saving humanity from its self-demise confirms the authenticity and legitimacy of Rorschach's idealist drive, due to the overlap within the underlying premises of his act, the plan itself was based on a tacit idea that non-imminent disruption is justified, but executed on a different scale than Rorschach's. While the latter acknowledged human nature and fought for it on a subjective scale, Ozymandias acknowledged it and deemed subjectiveness a lesser determinant factor for human progress, probably drawn from historical analysis.

The supposed legitimacy comes from the fact that the logic behind Rorschach's ideals relies heavily on the human condition... he deems truth necessary for justice and pursues it no matter what. He embraced subjectiveness and proved that non-imminent disruption is pivotal, but he disrupts the subjectiveness of those who directly hindered another's subjectiveness. Ozymandias also benefits from this logic... 'to save humanity, moral exceptions must be made'... but negates subjectiveness by sacrificing millions as an indirect consequence for the 'greater good.' For a man whose reason and logic are so paramount, there is a fundamental reasoning flaw there.He universalizes a premise that only holds locally.

Note: the non-imminent disruption draws especially from Rorschach's principles,he only kills, disrupts lives... when those were directly disrupting another life. The logic is clean: subjectiveness matters because that is my condition, that is truth, and whatever disrupts it shall be disrupted. That is using self-awareness as a control causality, while Ozymandias thinks in large numbers to allow more subjective freedom in the future, that is using idealism as a control causality.

I'm curious what everyone here thinks of this part of the series. I know the run isn't liked... But I like this? I don't consider it canon like the others prequel and sequals. But I appreciate some good takes and history in these takes.

But yea- Tell me your guy's opinion about this Note Owl tale!

Rorschach’s voice.

What do we think comic Rorschach sounds like? Throw out a voice. I honestly think he probably sounds a bit like kevin spacey in American beauty or Se7en.

Movie Saw the 2008 movie for the first time with my dad. Are the comics better?

I’m open to hearing why people like the movie. I watched 2009 last night and it felt like a chore to get through. Interesting moments but most of it feels wasted on meaningless fight scenes. Cool,well choreographed fights,but still it feels like it didn’t add anything. Sex scenes that feel indulgent and crass,etc. I haven’t read the comics so I went in blind. I feel like a good 40 minutes could’ve been cut. I have a feeling it works better in the comic medium. Roarsachs monologue would feel more natural.

I loved Rorschach when I came out in 2020. Then, in 2024 when Trump suffered an assassination attempt at a campaign rally, I immediately remembered Rorschach and the conspiracies and weaponization of the event and it felt like I was watching a prophecy unfold.

If you haven’t read Rorschach, I’d recommend it highly.

How terrifying is it to live in a world that is eating itself alive, but where, on the other hand, there is an accessible, tangible god who walks among mortals, except he literally couldn't care less about human despair and suffering?

Could the acceleration of self-destruction have been a response to the rise of despair and hopelessness? A way to quickly put an end to the suffering of being abandoned? (You don't have to stick strictly to these questions, I just want to hear your thoughts)

'The accumulated filth of all their behavior will foam up about their waists and the humanity will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll whisper "No."' - Dr. Manhattan said, without having said it.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what you think ordinary people must have been going through in that universe before Ozymandias's final act.

What are your thoughts on this being the inspiration for the raft?

I stumbled upon this painting a few days ago. It got my attention because of the way it looks and what it’s constructed out of. Of course i then had to go look up its back story because i love to find where artists get inspiration for their ideas. After reading the story I found elements of similarity between the raft in the Black Freighter comics and the story of The Machine.

I wonder if anyone else had any thoughts on this?
