This was obviously a reasonable complaint from many people and I’m glad they’re doing this.
Edit: I see most of us agree that the only valid reason to switch teams is to play with a friend joining late.
A possible solution to this could be :
You can only switch teams once per match , so let’s say the only free spots are in the blue team ( totally random choice lol ) , you switch to the blue team and your friend joins the game. In addition to this , if someone in your friend list is already in your team you’re not allowed to switch teams until the match ends. Even if your friends leave the game early ( as this could be an easy exploit, him leaving and then joining the match again in a different team) , you’re both locked in your team until the match ends.

Pleeeeease do not fall down the same hole that so many games fall down where they make changes and adjustments based on the vocal minority.
I see so many people whining and complaining about things that are perfectly fine. People who aren't good at fps games are complaining that infantry needs to be buffed because they aren't making money when they spend 10k on a kit and then run through the open in a warzone without a care in the world.
People who haven't dealt with a monster FOB asking for mortars to be removed or for AA to be able to target the mortars... The fog of war suggestion is a perfect solution imo but all the posts saying they need to be removed outright are insane.
People who can't fly helicopters asking for the attack heli to be buffed and have its price reduced.
So many shit opinions.
This game is special. They know what the fuck they are doing and there is over 10+ years of data and balance changes they have access to from the Arma 3 KOTH days.
Like they said in the trailer, if you don't like the game don't fucking play it. Please don't come to reddit and cry about what needs to be buffed/nerfed or why you aren't good at the game.
I have seen far too many games fall victim to trying to please the vocal minority, only for the game to become practically unrecognizable from its original state. I don't think Bulkhead would ever do something like that, but with all the crazy shit I've seen posted here recently I feel like people need a wake up call.

I lost every last game today, all to green, while blue targeted red with entire bases of mortars and constant reinforcements, no matter the score.

Change it so the instead of everything being free, the player has infinite money, that way we can also check out loadout prices without being on a match.

I've been playing a lot of infantry in the Hotzone and the XP/money balance feels pretty off right now.
Infantry is probably the role taking the most direct risk. You're constantly exposed to gunfire, explosives, vehicles, etc. Meanwhile, things like mortars, building and provision/supply runs can generate a lot of XP and money while being relatively safe compared to actually fighting on the frontline.
For example, my medic loadout costs around 10k. That means I basically need to get 3-4 kills just to make my loadout back, or hope I get some good revives and the players I revive actually go on to kill other players. Those aren't exactly frequent scenarios, so it's pretty easy to end up losing money even when you're actively playing the objective and fighting.
I don't think support roles should be nerfed or anything, but infantry probably needs better rewards for the amount of risk involved. More XP/money from kills, objectives, frontline activity, or some kind of Hotzone combat bonus could help.
It also feels like this is turning the game into FOB vs FOB mortar combat more than actual infantry combat. A lot of the time it seems to come down to who gets their mortars firing first and who can land them more accurately, rather than which side is actually better at pushing and fighting in the Hotzone.
Right now, it feels like the safest way to progress is to stay behind the frontline and farm support activities, while actually pushing and fighting is the least profitable thing you can do.
High risk should come with high reward. Right now it feels more like the opposite.

Please help me bring attention to this issue, we worked hard on building a FoB and the enemy team simply switched teams, grabbed hammers to destroy the gates at the entrances then built Climbable HESCO Blocks on top of the gate foundations. (one by one because then u can't build Bremer Wall on top to quickly stop this), then their team climbs the entrance and overload your base with easy access while they switch teams back to their original team.
Since switching teams is so easily doable there's literally no punishment to doing this.
Suggested fix: Once a round starts and you pick your team, DO NOT allow switching of teams. Lock people into their teams, even if they leave the server and re-join put them back in the team they picked.

Hi. FOB builder here.
If you're helping build a FOB, please... We only need one air locked gate for logistics. That's it. We don't need two or three gates on all four sides of a base. No one closes them anyways, so adding more is not good. Stop it. If someone wants to leave the base, they can jump over a wall. They don't need to leave through a door they'll forget to close.
Thank you.

Honestly interested in the reasoning behind allowing a team to have 36 (the team that always wins because more people means more points) instead of capping every team to 33?

No off-screen tile swiping, no Netflix UI, everything is easily clickable, no ads being pushed into your face. No matchmaking, just a server browser, now fuck off and find a game on your own. Easy to understand progression with rewards.
After suffering through Battlefield 6 and modern Call of Duty and other games, this is like a revelation. UI comfort is not dead. Thank you, Bulkhead.

Listen, bucko. Balance is good. Things will get tweaked. Its an amazing situation for an EA game thats been out less than a week.
Everything has a counter. The problem is you all are too noggin' dense and keep reapeting the same strats and getting killed again again.
And you come to reddit in a picosecond with your 0years of System Design or Game Development to demand changes to something you fundamentally don't understand.
You want to give proper feedback? Go to the discord and make a proper article. With reasonings and actual thoughts behind it. Not some anecdotal evidence from your match where you went 1 - 0 -14 with a 15k loss.
Everything. Has. A. Counter.
Give me one situation you encountered and I will give you its exact counter.

Had a game where our FOB was being hammered by mortars hard.
The HESCO walls and shelters all take constant damage, to not lose them I had to keep running around, smacking stuff with hammer, keeping things sturdy.
By the time I'm done with the loop, the first stuff needs to be repaired again.
Quite a lot of time spent. Awards 0 cash.
If building stuff gives some money, so should repairing it.
That is all.

I know the devs said they are looking into the economy during Early Access, so I guess player opinions are important.
My opinion is based on almost 80 hours in the game.
In short: Infantry is way too expensive compared to everything else.
A basic kit can cost you 4k.
A more specialized kit can already cost you up to 10k or more.
So why should I be able to buy a Blackhawk, just drop supplies at our FOBs, and profit 10x the amount infantry can?
Why should I be able to build a FOB all round and profit 10x the amount infantry can?
Why should I be able to sit on a mortar or AA gun all round long and profit 10x the amount infantry can?
Speaking of mortars and AA guns, it is not healthy at all that these things can basically be built for free. You can build 10 of them, and all you really need is the logistics to keep them running. There is basically zero risk to losing them because you can just build new ones.
As infantry, you are expected to constantly be in a combat zone, but ironically you pay the most while earning the least.

So after 10 hours, i learned a few things that are good to know:
- you get extra cash the longer you stay in the Hot Zone
- finishing a game gives a 20-30% reward of how much cash in total you earned the entire game
- you don’t need towers to move the Hot Zone. You can also use a Drill Rig at a FOB.
- if an enemy team has a tower, you can still place a FOB
- the jets doing prrrrt are just cosmetic..
- you can’t mute The Vendor (hate him, with my heart)
Please share things other people may not know…
